Ive been rockin my Okeanos nonstop since I got it. i leave it all put together and only unscrew the bottom part for minimal pressure on the boro chamber. I've gone through a couple g's of fairly unrefined oil but it's really working wonderfully.

I hope everyone who has issues with theirs gets it solved because it is everything I hoped it would be. I am glad i wasn't put off by the initial bad experiences with it. A little vaseline on the bottom ring solved everything. The hits are amazingly smooth.

On an unrelated note, i remember G talking about these
Efest 18650 2100mah ?/30A IMR
batteries and how they didn't test their own batteries at all?

I saw some places online saying they do 60A for the "first 75 seconds" but this sounds absolutely ridiculous with no sort of backing to prove it. anyone can speak on these batteries even if it is just "still stay away from efest"?


e: I have no idea how but I just managed to make most of my water spill out of the mouthpiece,hmm...

Perhaps this may have been the case @Caligula, thanks for the advice..am not sure if I did as usually delicate with these things but could well be ;) Great news re the Okeanos Carts and keeping close eye for the triton.

@THC SCIENTIFIC, If you're able to look into my support ticket submitted 10 days ago, that would be really appreciated as I know you're well on the case with these things and were away when submitted. Thanks :)

I finally managed to clog up my okeanos. loaded up too much and got greedy. i just scraped it out of the center hole it was blocking, fired it up a few times got some good hits and put the excess back.

since it's been dirty it tends to get a little closed up so if you just pull there's nothing but if you hit the button and pull at the same time it clears itself right up almost instantly and hits like normal again.

I'm so happy......my connect traded me my extra black accent kit for his chrome set. I now have a solid chrome (albeit a long tube) Persei. Just need a chrome kiss cart and I'm set! Come to think of it I need another purple one too I think...

I got from here http://www.ioffer.com/selling/oregonglassblower I found the angle and size (14mm female fits KISS) that I was looking for. There was no female so I put the male and the other fitting in cart. Then I made an offer based on 10% off of his list prices (didn't add for shipping). In the comments of the offer I put "FC discount? And described that one of the pieces needed a female. He made it the next day and shipping was fast. Oregonglassblower is a class act!
The hose came from @VaporWarehouse because I wanted silicone (very flexible).

I started to put some effort towards researching this style of battery. I lost steam quickly but i did gain a few bits of valuable information.

I could be way wrong, but this is what i believe that i learned..
There are basically 2 styles of cells you can buy. Japanese or Chinese. The Japanese cells are badass and you can buy the 18650 shape with the name of companies like Panasonic, Samsung, and Sony. Some of them (Samsung, maybe others) are assembled in Korea, but they use the Japanese cell.

The cheaper priced and lower quality cells come from China. They are sold under brands like UltraFire, TrustFire, CrotchOnFire, and a BUNCH of companies sell fake AW batteries.

So if money and availability was not a factor just buy the Japanese cells. If money is a factor then there are cheaper options which are still considered high quality.

The most mentioned during my researching is AW brand batteries. The guy only buys top quality cells and has a great reputation. The problem is he gets copied and the market is flooded with fake AW's.

Efest is another brand that gets decent reviews. I was in contact with an Efest rep and blasted him with questions. I need to go back and read the emails to confirm what he told me..(whether its factual or not). But i was left with the feeling Efest is a quality battery. Definitely buy the PURPLE battery over the RED if youre looking for a high discharge C-Rating. He claimed a 15C discharge on the Purple Efest.

Was also in contact with a Sibeile rep. He impressed me with actual graphs and data. Some of these suppliers i would ask about C-rating and they would literally write back saying "sir, we have not tested". How the hell do you manufacture or sell a battery and not have basic specs? Anyway the Sibeile guy tells me the 18650 size battery uses rewrapped Japanese cells from either Panasonic, Samsung, or Sony. But he says the 18350 size is NOT a Japanese cell. Its a Chinese cell they still claim as high quality. He told me its a 7C discharge rating.

Any idea if the SR71 fits 14mm as well?

It works ok but does not seal as good. It does fit in a 18mm pretty snug but it will protrude pretty far past the ground part (about 1"). The flat MP for the Nibbler xL with the O ring fits really good in 18mm. I'm sure they will make you one of those too. Looks like I may need to get a 18mm too. The 18mm I am testing with is my glass dome.

No idea. Ill have to ask my girlfriends step dad. He gives me pieces all the time. He does woodworking for a hobby. This piece has a weight of 6lbs. I just made it for the hell of it.

Anyway yeah....

Woohoo chrome kiss cart on the way......soon an all chrome persei. @THC SCIENTIFIC I demand chrome(read color coded) tips for kiss carts!

Longtime Persei user. Finally tried out the ss + kiss combo and it's probably my favorite persei setup. Aside from performance, it has a nice balanced feel. I thought the full tube with the original carts had this, but bender and sr-7* didn't (although both work well).

After using ss+kiss for about a week, the only addition I can think that I want is a bottom cap that has a little storage compartment for refills. Just a screw on piece the diameter of the persei and maybe 1/4'' to 1/2'' deep...thinking about festival season.
