Got my SR71 upgrade as well as my coils and stuff in!!!


Am i understanding correctly that aside from the rod, the rest of the parts are only for ease of assembly versus the SR71?

Anyone have any reliability issues with the 74? I know how to disassemble/reassemble the 71 correctly finally...but I'll be attending a 2 day long rave and just want the least hassle if at all possible. So i guess, assuming the 71 and 74 are assembled correctly, does one have any more reliability/advantage over the other?

IT LIVES! SR-74 white rod and Ti coil(s) up and running @ 100%. Only question I have is about the AAF. Even with the retaining nut @ danger tight, the washer still freely spins. It seems a slight bump could move the position as well. I could imagine that to be quite irritating if it ends up blocking off the air path by accident.

Am I doing it wrong?

My aaf washer was the same way but after some use it won't budge unless you loosen the retaining nut. even after a iso clean!




I recieved my replacement tops today! As always I had a great experience with customer service and the process was quick!! My only problem right now is my new top serial # starting w/ R doesn't screw onto my persei body flush and leaves a small gap of threading.. I believe I saw another FC member have the same issue if I'm not mistaken? Even my ss kit doesn't screw in flush :,(

Exactly. The difference is superficial only, it doesn't affect the function. But it looks a lot cooler! I'll head over to Vapor Warehouse and poke around. Thanks for the heads up!

I gotta say, I'm someone who smoked marijuana for over 30 years and gave it up for the wonderful vapor a few years ago. I thought "dabbing" was a stupid fad, until I bought some rigs and gave it a try.

Medicates you up fast, but tastes like shit, pretty much. Now, with the Persei I am constantly amazed at how nice the taste is. I guess it's due to the very high heat of a nail. I think it's more like combusting. The Persei gives me a nice, tasty hit. I don't cough up a lung and I get exactly where I need to be.

I still prefer the taste of flowers nicely ground and fresh through my EVO, but after a few hits on the Herc and I find myself longing for THAT taste.

Guys I am sorry this has probably been answered but I can't figure this one out at all and search seems to be gone temporarily.

I got my Okeanos today but no matter how I try and fill it I can't keep water from running down the outside of it. Do I need to use the o rings that come separately as well? Or is it supposed to work out of the box?


If it works out of the box please tell me how to get water in it and stay from leaking everywhere. Obviously I can not put it on a battery until it stops dripping.

I have not seen anyone crazy enough to use the 3.7v Herc at 7.4v just not possible plus it's not safe.

7.4v on a black rod (~.8ohms) comes out to about 9.25 Amps pushing 68watts of power. The only batteries that I know that can handle the loads are the AW 18500 (rated at 16.5Amps), AW 1600mah (24.5A), Sony VTC3-5 series 18650 (30Amps).

This only works on the SR-71, and you will have to pay for W9's Intentional Damage Repair (since you intentionally put too much power through it) if/when you burn your Persei top. The Sr-74 has hot springs in the bottom connector that will trip when there is more than 6Amps of current.

possible yes...safe maybe...smart no...instant vapor within 3 seconds yes...burned oil...yes..your vape, your $, your choice.

so i just got my sr-74 parts kit today, assembled it after cleaning up my herc, and dare I say that it is even tastier? and even though the sr-74 rod runs with a little less power (higher resistance) the hits are still pure white clouds through my nibbler xl!! this set up can always leave me feeling like: haha

this was talked about around a month or so ago so forgive my memory(I don't have one myself yet), but i believe people were saying that you need to put an oring on the top and bottom of the glass to prevent leaking and also make sure to lube the orings a little bit because a lot of people had issues with cracking the glass while screwing it together from the friction of the glass on the orings. One unfortunate person actually had shards of glass go into their hand from it @Sleepin in CA

Ive always been intimidated to buy an omicron. I usually just buy oil pens. Now im willing to try, but im not sure what to buy. Can someone please suggest something for me?
1) im a beginner, something easy to use, easy to maintain. Hard to fuck up.
2) efficiency. The atmos jr pen i use is very efficient and i want something that can match that.
3)portability+stealth
4) around 100-150$.
5) i dont care much about vapor production when it comes to oil, but every once in a while id like to take a nice rip on the bong. So something that can be adjusted to be more powerful is necessary, and if i can attach it to my bong would be nice.
6) taste. Again the atmos i use gives good tasting vapor.
7) battery. To last like 30-40 small puffs (all day)
8) i make my own oil using a simple but effective process. I dont have access to legal. Its not the cleanest in terms of plant matter since i use organic coffee filters, not that theres a lot of plant matter but sometimes for some reason a few specles fall through. So i need something that can handle my oil. Im not sure what to label my oil so ill just post a pic.
Its like sticky playdo consistency you can roll it up with ur fingers.

Where is the leak coming from? Have you used Vaseline on the orings to lube them up? Does the center post have a oring?

I have not used vaseline on the orings at all. i will try that. The center post does have an o-ring.

The leak seems to be coming out of the bottom o-ring sealing the bottom of the boro chamber. IT doesn't really leak badly. It just slowly seeps out.

If you hold it diagonally like you do in your demo video it increases the chances of it seeping out.

I filled the chamber like 1/4 full and put it back together minus the kiss cart so i wouldn't drown it if i messed something up... at one point i got a little water on the kiss cart but it still works fine. Anyway I had a paper towel to see when it stopped seeping thru and when the water level got about as high as the bottom o-ring it stopped seeping thru.

My friend and I hit it a ton and it worked great but seemed like by the time we had gotten it repacked about 3 times there was barely any water at all. Still hit great though.

If I can lay it down sideways with a little more water and not be worried about the water seeping thru i will be so super stoked

So thanks to @THC SCIENTIFIC & gang for putting up with an awkward transaction today, got my SR-74 a couple hours ago. Diligently cleaned and seasoned the ceramic, but noted the ceramic never glowed... even in a dark room. thoroughly convinced i would be disappointed at a lack of strength, i just kinda told myself the flavor was still worth it. loaded a couple more points of my winterized og shatter and bam, it starts rippin!!! holy hell! i havent been this excited about a vape in a while. Instant awesome first impression, thanks so much for the pick up today!

Will be loading flowers in there tomorrow for sure, will indeed report experience if anyone would like, i found little in the way of detailing that online.

Now im sitting here eyeballing the nibbler xl.... damnit.... and you had to use futurama names? gah...

Came back to add just a little more about how extraordinary the flavor is... After winterizing this og had no smell/flavor... dabbed on ti or in the original w9 2.4 cart. Legitimately convinced I lost the flavor i loved in my grow due to my insistence on moving to winterization, the herc brought it back!!! strong as when it was fresh out of the tube... Not exaggerating. Its an amazing machine, and i definitely wont be handing to my friends who cling to their shit clogged coil atomizers. Ive been through so many vapes portable and fixed, and since the volcano, this has to be the highest level of WORKING innovation in a while.

When I left it in, I had to make sure I didn't fully close it for it to work or it would move out of place pretty quick or just wouldn't heat up, while the blue light stayed constant. What does this piece exactly do and am I going to regret not using it in the future?

Haven't tried the TI coil yet since I didn't have much time tonight to test out the 74 but will have more free time tomorrow!

Edit: I was wondering if anyone tried cutting their non-stick mat before? The one I got is a little big and I was wondering if it would fall apart if I cut it in half.

What tiniest piece brotha? Is it the spring loaded contact in the center post? If yes I posted a picture on rod placement on this page or the one before.
