Is this method approved by THC Scientific ?
Hey vapvap I just assembled a cleaned SR-71 with a stained heating rod and got the rod white again by holding down the power button for 10-15 seconds until it glowed red. This is without any oil coil installed. There was a little puff of smoke and when it cooled down it was white again. I just brushed it out to get rid of any ash dust and then installed the coil and started priming with wax.

This to me is easier than futzing with a torch!

Almost ready we never gave up. Can't show you the other prototype next to it but be ready for the onslaught of innovation.

Finally the Iris v2 sees the light of day!!!!
:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

I still use the v1 Iris almost daily. This is something even skeptical old Hedo will jump on a preorder.

If you create a bundle of Persei + Iris + Hercules you will rule the concentrate vaporizer market!

The Hercules and Iris are a match made in cannabis heaven.

Can't wait. Any ETA?

Hedo

FWIW I had black deposits stuck to my rod that doing a no coil burn off wouldn't remove. I didn't want to torch it without further info so I did an iso soak followed by going at it with a hard bristle tooth brush followed by dry burn offs. That got MOST of the black off the white rod.

We are not taking anymore chances on a pre order @Hedonismbot to many things change and we simply can't handle the order changes that come in. The Hercules sr 74 overwhelmed us and our management team decided against it.

Our original deal stands on the Top for upgrade.

Return your iris originals for a v2 for $29 plus shipping, but wait for our instructions first.

What's the tag going to be for a v2 iris outright?

question about my sr74, the chambers that split the rod, the rod gets pushed too far into my oil chamber and doesnt heat up when I tighten it all the way To fix this I cant screw together the two chambers flush, am I doing something wrong?

Call W9 and have them walk you through assembly of your Hercules. Their tech service is great and this is much easier than trying to do this on a message forum.

It sounds like you might have the lower tube on upside-down. For my SR-71 the "H" in Hercules needs to be closest to the button end NOT the mouthpiece end. Hope this helps. :hmm:

Looks like your center post prongs are a bit to tight. Did you try to straighten them up? This would be the only cause.

Do this take a pencil point end and slowly press it in and this will expand the tips by about a mm and it should fix your issues.

@Hedonismbot we are thinking about grouping the three together but we have to see what the cost will be. As it stands the iris v2 is not cheaper then the v1 because of the added features. The end result once my engineer gives me the full specs after he wakes up will determine production costs. As it stands the Persei iris and Hercules could end up costing $299 but don't quote me yet on that.

@jeffzorz The image on the left is a sr71 rod placement the image on the right is a sr74 rod placement.

Look at the white space difference.

whats the resistance supposed to read with the SR74? Will this differ for me since ill be using just an SR74 rod in an SR71?

And last but not least any word from the lawyers about being able to get your parts through customs?
