What's going on with the Herc boss? What hasn't it worked for you?
Well, I only say that because my replacement black double top immediately burnt up, but I don't deny that it could have been my fault for not testing it with a DMM first, or that maybe the replacement top actually did not have short protection. I'd have to go a solid 30 minute drive into town to get a meter and just never thought to pick one up or order one online up until this point. I just don't want to risk trying it on either of my other tops and potentially re-burning one of them out until my SR74 upgrade comes in.
Also when I first got it I just didnt have the volume of oil to be able to use it. then when I did i somehow burnt up 3 tops back to back to back in one night
Don't get me wrong, the few days I was able to use my herc , I loved absolutely everything about it. But it's gonna sit in the drawer I think until I can get a meter or my upgrade

Picked this bad boy up at NorCal Smoke Shop in Monterey today. Gave it all to me out the door for $200. Plus a free 18mm to 14mm adapter (so it'll work with my kiss carts). Saved a cool 110. Love the beach. Love fellow surfers. Love my girl for this awesome VDay present. Liquid Science baby.

@masaki try melting your loads into coil. Drip straight off a dabber so it lands on wick. For less stable concentrates it works better. Remember there's doesn't need to be visible wax to get a cloud if wick is loaded well.
I also do this for glass loads off a kiss cart. Helps prevent drip back when Persei is inverted.

I've been getting the same issue, I keep recleaning with iso baths and poking through the small gaps but it keeps clogging before I even get like the 5th hit in after every clean before I gotta poke it again. I've even tried loading on the side of the coil with quite small dabs of stable wax, tried 3 different types from the club but get the same results after a few loads every time. I'm sure I am not pulling too hard as I'm trying to do the bare minimum of inhalation as possible. Getting pretty irritated with it so I think I'm gonna just stick with the normal mouthpiece for now.My okeanos keeps cloggingI cleaned the center post with iso and a dental bridge and that worked for a little.
The other 3.7 TI Kiss cart I bought is still working nicely though, getting close to 2 grams through it now and it's still good, taste is solid but I think its time to iso bath this guy as the threads are getting hard to turn.
Guys I've hit stable shatters, budders, and honeycomb fine so far. It does clog after decent use, but only the main tube. Quick and easy dabber swipe and I'm good. IMO keep trying, and perfect your usage. I think you guys are too quick to give up....? Either way, I love mine (and miss it) and will be eagerly awaiting a new heating element. Until then though....this new glass piece is wrecking me.

I dipped a q-tip with iso and lightly spread it along the threading of the kiss cart and the MP, seems to have cleaned it up nicely to where it isn't sticky. Seems like a faster way than soaking it completely.
The wax I used for the Okeanos was crumble, budder and honeycomb. Don't have any shatter currently but I'll pick some up to try that later.
Edit: Hmm thats odd, was messing with the Okeanos some more and the bubbler was working fine again but after I attached it to the Okeanos body and hit it, there was no vapor that went into the bubbler but I got smoke when I exhaled... might need to clean it more..?

No , sadly I lack the necessary doodads and tubing. I had a lot of old school glass. ..but I switched to vaporizers after. Now I'm stepping my glass game back up. Going to need to acquire some 18mm male to male gong adapters and some tubing for that broseph.

It does sound like an airflow issue. Keep in mind the cart itself can clog also. ISO bath all of that ish. Clean it out good......blast off. Try one to two hit dabs and work up from there. I bet you'll find those one or two hit size dabs give you a lot more than you expect.

hey @THC SCIENTIFIC (or anyone else) if I get to pick up a multimeter today where do I need to be making contacts and what readings do I want. Also do the replacement heads with serial numbers beginning with R have the short protection?

The light will flash if you set down the persei sometimes due to a little battery movement. The short protection is doing it's thing and I believe w9 website has all instructions in PDF
Damn I miss my hercules so much. If money wasn't a issue I would get a SR74 frolic through a field of dandelions producing clouds till my allergies kicked in causing me to collapse due to lack of oxygen from my throat closing. I would probably die in that field of dandelions but I would die happy laying next to my Hercules... No homo

What would be the recommended accessories to order with my pack ? And the herc does herb and oil but bender does herb better i take it ?

I broke the ceramic rod in half while disassembling. It was a day full of stress and anxiety and I was in a rush to get out the house but wanted to medicate before I left. It was a fucking nightmare

Same thing happened with one of mine a few weeks ago. Brand new, never been used rod too. I also snapped a prong off of the rod holder with the same stroke. That unit is currently out of service.

@masaki @Patrick Hughes ouch! I'd Fuckin die! No herc would be my worst nightmare. I'm working on a trade for a second one actually just in case. Hopefully you guys got your tickets filed/parts orders in, so you won't be down long!
@Tai Sun the Hercules is awesome, you will need at least 2 AW IMR 18350 batteries for full power. Also the Nibbler XL/Hercules is pure heaven. I'd also recommend a titanium kiss cart or ten. As for herc and herb.....no real success stories there. @ataxian will tell you the bender is sick as hell, but not very portable. Personally I use a pax for portability. Hope this helps.
