Guys it's not a leak issue please stop calling it a leak issue. What it is doing is because lack of proper assembly and or cool down process the liquid is dumped out for a few reasons.

1. It does not get over cooked.
2. Saves your oil so that you don't waist it just in case the rod goes out. Means when you send it in you don't have to torch it and waste oil to clean it then send it in. You just send the rod in.

So far I've used unstable and stable waxes of various consistency with the black rod, with success.
I have not tried shatters with the black rod yet, will report back & also I'am using the coil thats sits slightly above rod (1mm +/-)

Seems to be the case(top cap), what I have done is once its stuck (at lest for me ) I reverse the shell and use the opposite threading (dont thread all the way jut enough to grasp and pull out gently) to pull mine out.
**If you try this method just try not to screw it to far as too possibly damaging the threads (mine goes in smoothly then starts to become a bit tighter, thats when I stop and pull cap out).

I like SHATTER the best so the HERCULES SR71 should do the trick.
Today I hope to load them with GOD'S GIFT SHATTER.
The carts I store upright.
My Pictures are messy.
Now that you mention it I'm a bit of a hacker.

PURE GOLD has potential however just THC rich?
Seems like TERA LABS would balance it out?
Gives me a splitting headache!

I feel so sorry for Porquiplane living in a State that is CANNABIS UNFRIENDLY.

In the meantime TERA LAB has some brilliant minds so maybe one day they will make PG with he rest of the plant?

Wax type, have not found a bad choice of BHO yet in mine. I use shatter most of the time. Unlike others units I don’t think a foil test is required on this baby. One of its many advantages due to the easy cleaning.

I throw in about 0.3-0.4g in two steps. That is on a used coil that’s been charged. That’ s enough for me.

Just ordered a new sr-71 with 3.7 v heater ( i hope that's the black rod). I bought the whole unit because the shell of my old one is too worn out to work with the nibbler (the top comes off inside the bubbler and gets stuck). I wanted to say thanks for putting up the spare parts which I needed badly

They recommend and can only guarantee the performance of their cart with one of their mods running it such as the Persei. Even if you wanted to run on the ProVari you would be limited to the 3.7V rod with a 601 adapter, and again, no guarantees that it won't fry your electronics or the other way around. There has been at least one other user who had a DNA-20 (VV/VW 20 Watt Max) driven box mod, which IIRC goes up to 8V which he was using to drive the 7.4v herc. It's up to you of course, but being in a similar situation not too long ago, I decided against it for multiple reasons, the last of which was the inconvenience of constantly threading things in and out.

Both the amp limit and watt limit can, under certain conditions, be exceeded but the "Provari number" cannot... Under any circumstances.


if the black rod is 0.8ohm and its 3.7v , then that means 17watts times 4.6 amps = 78 is your provari number, and if 50 is the limit, looks like no. unless the black rod is not 0.8ohm?

Only way your gonna get the black rod to work is if you can supply 5.25 amps at 3.7v

If your unit can supply 5.25 amps at 3.7v and not flinch then your good to go.

Thank you! I guess I am shit out of luck :(

Any suggestions on something I can attach to my provari that actually works? I have seen a bunch of different attachments for dry herbs but they are all cheap china units with not so favorable reviews. I used to own a herbalaire vaporizer, I would like something at least as effective as that at producing vapor (it wasn't that great at all).

I vape e juice with the i-taste, but never thought about running my Herc on it. I have run my LV DART's on it before, but prefer the Alpha-Ultra supply for DART. I think some things are made for each other.... kind of like the Persei and Herc! I can't stand using thread adapters, unless completely necessary. I will also say that the Herc has all but stopped my DART usage at home(I still use DART for ultimate stealth), I can grab Herc from a cold start(60-75 F) and be in the clouds in no time!(literally seconds). The only problem I have with my Herc now, is I want another one!
