A question for DubC, THC Scientific, or anyone else in the know:
Are there different generations of 1.5ohm carts out there? My understanding was that the 1.5 released after the Persei so as to give more options to those using an Omicron or Ophos, but was that initial wave improved upon?
I ask because I've recently been directed to a local shop to buy my cartridges, but have had the absolute worse experience with their batch. There is little to no production, even after a very gentle fill session, along with a nice prime.
At first I thought I had a lot more to learn, but then a buddy of mine gave me back a cart I gave him to try out (he never touched it) that I had received from D9. Filled it with the left over .5 that I didn't want to waste in the faulty carts using the same time consuming caution and I was blown away like a cow in a tornado. Vapor was produced in the ways I have come to expect, Nibbler X helped cool it down to a thick, tasty cloud.
Comparing the 1.5's (two faulty, one amazing) I find that the one from D9 seems a little shinier, and has a seemingly wider bridge holding the flue.
I am really disappointed with the two faulty 1.5's and the embarrassing 2.4. For some reason, even though there is no considerable production of vapor, & no leaks, when weighing them out, I find I somehow burned through .3 wax when I barely got a decent hit! Where is it all going?
JFC, Hercules needs to get here already.
Also, has there always been a little wiggle room in the threads? When I screw on a cart, there's enough room for the cartridge to tilt at an angle while being screwed in so that it's crooked. I have to carefully screw it on so that it's standing up straight. I feel like this can be reason so many of my carts have been disagreeing with me.
