well bender got to a sorting facility 290 miles away and then I realize Monday is a freaking PO holiday. SO if I am lucky Tuesday but could be wednesday if the holiday stops mail completely...
Will keep reading sounds reports/ Wonder the folks not making big clouds if they are getting nice flavor
and how many hits per fill does it take to feel you finish material?

Lucky bastards living in Cali Enjoy Bending :p

My Bender came assembled, and am slightly concerned about separating and reassembling when and if the o-rings deteriorate, speaking of that, what is recommended for cleaning (I'm about due already! ) I'm planning on using 91%ISO, but I am scared to use d-limonene because of the o-rings, I rarely use d-limonene as a cleaner, because it leaves a little residue cleanable with water, but I thought the solvent thing should be addressed before someone does something stupid.

This thing is continuing to impress me!(that can be hard to do)

1- amazing flavor (of course, requires quality flowers!)

2-great load size (.5g of flower is ideal, old school zig-zag white and gold standard size!)

3-battery life -2 full bowls(playing it safe with plenty of juice left) if you want you can get three.

4-changeable mouthpiece-bring on the custom pieces!

I am sitting at home using my Volcano to dry my Bender! LOL

I love this thing so far! Keep it coming G! I was hesitant to buy the Bender, after being disappointed with portable flower vapes, very happy with this purchase so far!

BENDER PORN!!!! Mine is fine but I think it needs a thicker inside O ring on the metal lid so it does not move around but have a snug fit .... unless it is designed like that

You can clean everything by boiling it except the hammer,

You can clean only the glass parts with iso.

You can clean only the ceramic section on the hammer with ISO.

Hope this explains it.

My Bender moves around easily too, does feel like the inside O ring could use just a bit more resistance. It does not feel so loose that it will fall off the hammer on it's own, but it does move very easily. Unfortunately I am having to be a bit more conservative than I'd like to be with my herbs at the moment, waiting for the next batch to cure up a bit, so Bender is going to have to hang out a bit and wait for more ample supplies. I had fun testing it out today though. Combusted twice, using the 7.4v set up. I have not mentioned this sooner because I wanted to try it a few times first, but it seems my thermovape 6v PA (wall plug) is running the bender just fine, it runs slightly cooler which is good for me, harder to combust, and takes about 30 sec. to heat up, but it's definitely working. I have not tried using any 6v battery configuration yet, just the wall plug so far.

We are working on thicker orings for the inside, but at the same time since its glass we actually thought to have some play so that its harder to break. Putting that stress on the hammer itself might cause issues, but we are trying to get thicker orings and its custom made, we didnt want to hold the bender up for this, so soon as we have it and test it out we will have it on the site to purchase.

sitting here so positively faded from the Bender and as I look at its beauty i realize that it looks like bender lol how did i not see it before

It's OK to enjoy your medicine.
I've found that the tighter you pack it, the more likely to get it up to combustion (due to hot spots, lack of hot air circulation).
I've dropped the amount loaded by 20% and it seems to vaporize more completely with better taste till the end. I am using 15-17 seconds as my warm up time.
I can get 3 bowls from fresh AW imr's but it's draining them flat.

Using the Bender is a lot like driving a fast car to the speed limit and staying there: You floor it until you get vapor going, then back way off with intermittent presses to keep the heat level. Just like a car, you have to let off the gas just prior to the speed limit. It took me 3 loads until I was super happy with my results in learning to "drive" the Bender.

More testing to do! More flavor to savor...

is it weird that it takes me 30 to 45 sec to get any vapor started with full battery?
I find my self with 7.4 I just gotta hold the button on for awhile and then the vapor starts but it never combust though and back off once you get the vapor going =) So maybe Im doing something wrong or right? But I just hold the button

Hey G
Is there any reason why my invoice reads at full price? On website order shows discount, but invoice is full price. Did you do this for a reason or was this a mistake?

Kevin

PACQUIAO!!!
I called asking about the full price on the packing slip. I think I spoke with g and he politely asked for my order number and told me I was charged the discounted preorder price. Took less than a min.

The invoice is printed from another program it does not show the discount code applied.

Hey G
Instead of a thicker O-ring what if you were to take the bottom metal piece with O-rings and machine off the lip that stops it from going into the tube. Now push this piece up inside as far as you can, now put another peice on bottom now we have two points holding the hammer into the bender. This should make it much more secure and should spread the load out evenly accross the bottom half, no added stress on glass in only one place. No effect on the flavor still all glass were it counts!
Also what about a high temp silicon O-ring around the outer body to help with knock overs, may save it a few times for only a few cents?
Thanks

Right on kevin. It needs 2 points of contact so it doesn't wobble. I too find it a bit wobbly and worried that it might slide off the hammer rod. Plus the side to side play can't be good for durability. I also think you nailed into something that needs to be addressed. After all, the D9 vapes are sturdy portables. Too bad it doesn't "clip on" (screw on, grip on?) to the persei top.

I also find myself heating it up for 45-60 sec before vapor and it doesn't seem to combust either but then I get off the button at about 80-90 sec. Once it's hot then 10-15 for vapor but very long warm up on fresh new batteries.
So what's my problem or is this normal?

Well hot damn lol. How are you using the TV with it exactly? I have the power supply from TV, and I'm going to have to order new IMRs before I finally get to really test this thing, unless I can make the TV setup work. So damn glad I decided to keep the (EXPENSIVE) TV powersupply :)

G is that silicone around the O-ring on the bottom of the bender? Or some kind of epoxy?

Interesting. It seems several guys are reporting this?

Here's my guess (I haven't seen mine):

I'm thinking it's has to do with the thickness of the glass condom over the hammer element inside the Bender. All the heat to do the good work has to be transmitted through it. Glass is a good insulator, heat moves slowly through it, the thicker the slower it goes. The size of it and it's distance from the heat source probably also plays a role here too as I suspect the heat is transferred to the inside surface by IR and conduction through the glass? Perhaps if it was quartz glass rather than Borosilicate IR could work all the way into the load? IIRC quartz passes IR fairly well?

Anyway, I don't discount the reports. More than a guy or two means there's probably something afoot. Since each Bender is basically hand made I think the rat may be there?

I'm wondering if there is difference in the heat of the hammer for those with long heat up times. Mine (on 7.4v) heats up very fast, so much so I have combusted twice before I even knew what was going on. Could it be that some of the hammers are just not running as hot as others?
