The unit will not be connectable to the Core other then to charge it via usb cable.

We Are converting the Cores kits to be pass through vapes.

Yes because it will give you a constant wattage Instead of what voltage the battery is, so this means you need AW IMRs and the only batteries we will recommend with them.

Currently not sure what we are doing as far as having pass through capabilities. We will know once my engineer hammers out the requirement.

As for price, not yet determined.

THe Okeanos wont hook up to this, but we do have something planned and once we have the final prototype we will make what we have planned for it. If possible.

Okeanos will not fit unless i make a change. Got me thinking now. Will discuss with engineer on Monday.

And another image.

I had thought I heard that variable wattage mods don't work as well with the hercules. What wattage setting would you recommend.

Also if it's connective to usb. Does that mean we can use without batteries?

So I'm guessing this is gonna be a slow warm up with no 7.4v.. any chance of a stacked 18350 version?

No it will warm as fast as 7.4v it just taxes the battery a lot.

....sure?

It will be a single 18650 version.

It's not that they don't work on the Hercules it's just that they tax the battery when using a single 18650 battery.

That's why a single 18650 at 30 watts will equal to the same 7.4v at 30 watts performance. Since we have the black rods these will be best fit for this model.

Thanks!

I tried searching the thread, but can someone please explain the pros and cons of stacking coils on the sr-74x?

Maybe youll get more oil in there, but i never had success stacking. I did purchase the old style coils and that went well, but i havent tested the old coils in my 7.4v herc.

What kind of battery life are we talking? 20 hits, 10 hits?

Got my repaired tops back from W9 today. Added a v4 Persei and v3 Omicron to the line up. Happy to report that both are firing the Kiss AC with zero issues. I have yet to try the gen 3 Kiss carts on them.

Loving the touch buttons so far!

This too shall PAX...
I recently picked up a 5 pack of the new Quartz dual coils from oilvaporizer.com to give them a try in the AC with Persei.

http://www.oilvaporizer.com/alpha-quartz-dual-ti-gr2-coil-5pack-p/alpha-quartz-dual-ti-2-5-pack.htm

I promptly burned one out in half a day as I first tried pulsing at 7.4v. It was instantaneous and tasty, but that poor cart didn't last long with the 7.4v/pulse method as with the standard dual carts.

I am currently using a second one at 3.7v on the Persei. Just as tasty, and now I feel a little more control at 3.7v. They do heat up quickly, on the same par as a single coil possibly slightly longer.

The carts are deeper than the standard AC dual coils, and the coils themselves are smaller (hence why the 7.4v was probably a bad idea). The deeper cart allows crumble to work exceptionally well.

All in all, I am fairly pleased. Still a little early to replace my standard AC dual coil @ 7.4v as my daily driver, but if these new Quartz dual coils prove more durable at the 3.7v, and the taste test goes well with stickier concentrates (i.e., no burnt oil as with the crumble so far), there could be a change on the horizon.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but does anyone else's heater rod have a ton of movement? Even with the washer/screw, the rod will move, which doesn't allow for contact with the center post. Anyone have any solutions for this? Thanks!

Nope... i cranked that nut tight enough to keep the washer in place. Probably not recommended.

i had a similar issue with rod movement once and all i did to fix it was take out the rod wrap a clean cloth around the threads and use my fingers to push as hard as i could to tighten the gaps cut into the threads this allowed the nut to get tight enough to eliminate movement on both my hercs i would not use anything but hand pressure as tools may damage the threads

To keep the rod in place during use, I gently use needle nose pliers to grip the retaining nut during assembly and tighten down an extra quarter turn or so that otherwise wouldn't be possible with just my fingers. When taking apart for cleaning, I use a paper towel between the pliers and nut to keep the pliers from getting hashy.

I noticed this happens when the AAF washer is upside down, it is slightly curved and actually was keeping the nut from being tightened down all the way when flipped and pinched in place IME.

So I got a noob problem. First off ive tried to read this thread in the past to get into up teck equipment, but I am not good with electronics and it all confused the shit out of me.

I ordered a dual coil titanium grade 2 gen 3 kiss cart since I could get a 510 thread, but my generic ego battery wont power it. I called the company and they said my battery wasn't strong enough but the persei would power it. I cant even find the battery for it alone, just a whole kit for 130. And I dont want to pay that much.

I was hoping everyone here could help me find a battery that will work for less money, or maybe where I could buy just the persei battery for a reasonable price.

I’ve been using the quartz coils and I remember someone asking me to post what I thought (sorry for the blurry pics, I don’t own a camera and my phone is 3 years old).

First off it’s taller and smaller. Like you can (hopefully) see in the blurry pic the outside metal wall is double thick so everything inside is smaller. Smaller cup, wick, and coil. Also in the pic you can see the coil is farther down in. This could be a plus in that it might help prevent splatter. Also even though the cup is smaller, it being taller might let you load it up a lot more vertically like a lot of people do with the prime/gen3 kiss carts. Though if after a lot of use there is some wax in the cup, it will be very hard to get out. It’s very, very tiny and crowded in there. If your stuff is sticky it also makes it a little tougher to load it and get it right where you want on the coil. Where a lot of the other coils ramp up to temp a little this seems to just hit it. I only tried 3.7v and 7.4v with it.

3.7v:
I’m impressed with it at 3.7, the taste is pretty good and it actually hits pretty hard. Especially impressive for a dual coil at 3.7. Though my usual technique didn’t seem to work as well on 2nd or 3rd hits and they could start tasting a little burnt if any was left. I wasn’t getting much if any splatter, but I never got much at 3.7 with the other ones.

7.4v:
Nope. I’m used to feathering but I felt like I had to feather my feathering (feathers?). Too hot too fast. I could sometimes get an ok taste for the first hit, but mostly it just gave me burnt vapor. Much more splatter than at 3.7. It also wouldn’t fire on the core at 7.4v, I ended up using it on my v2 persei with batteries. It fired on there at 3.7 though.

First of all I'm not berating any of our customers, I'm tired of trolls who have none of our products here who happened to complain about a few characteristics of our products that they did not like and yet chose of a inferior product and now without any proof ar back in our thread trolling.

As for your issue you have to submit a ticket for us to document your issue this is a forum for discussion about our products our customer service is not done here.

But I did mention that the gold piece found inside the button assembly should not be loose.

@coflycasr please provide me with your order number and I'll pass that info to the operator of D9

@Soflo all 8's are currently out of stock and might return on oilvaporizer if the owner chooses to list it. She has purchased the rights and stock we have.
Sorry for the late reply back. Delta9vapes.com keeps telling me it was shipped but it never was. The order number is 26, and i have been waiting almost a month for the correct order. They even created a tracking number, but it was never shipped. Are you able to check with them regarding the delay? I am happy to call myself, but they have no number listed. They sent an original order but sent the wrong part.
