Lets get one thing straight.


The Persei and 8 are designed to run all the carts that we have in stock when they are released.
Not future carts.

The Touch button was developed and released before the Kiss Gen 3 was even a possibility.


For us to not develop anything new is out of the question and thats your issue that you need learn to live with it. Thousands of customers are happy because they are enjoying their kiss Gen 3's

that is all im going to say on this subject in fact because it seems you do not understand

because i specifically said the 8 can run the Kiss Gen 3 at full potential and you still went on to comment about the 8 not being able to run all our carts.

I specifically said the Persei can run the Kiss Gen 3 with a small exception to the out of variance carts and once again you went on to comment that it wont.

The only issue that i see that can cause this is the bottom adapter not being adjusted correctly as well as the 8's top nut.

The issue is the Persei is self adjusting so you would need only to adjust the hercules bottom adapter, but when you pair the 8 with the hercules this means you need to either adjust one or the other.

Does the 8 and the Persei work the same when using lets say a kiss cartridge?

Wait a month we are working on something that will help all who wish to not wrench. The good thing about the 8 ( not sure if that is a good thing ) is it will outlast the owner, but it comes at a price where you need to maintain it.

I can not talk about it because it is not ready but soon will announce it once we get it here.

Oh I assumed he was talking about testing the device or something. All my SR-71s are tested after each reassembly and are spot on which is why they fire perfectly on the Persi's and make huge clouds after only 3-5 seconds.

Oh I assumed he was talking about testing the device or something. All my SR-71s are tested after each reassembly and are spot on which is why they fire perfectly on the Persi's and make huge clouds after only 3-5 seconds.

Then few possibilities, batteries are not fully charging, center post not making a good connection, short circuit protection board is not functioning, and or button assembly.

Now to eliminate which isn't the issue do this. Take same batteries and same Hercules put it in a persei if performance is better then what's in the 8 then we have the culprit and need to narrow it down more.

If performance same then it can either be the Hercules or batteries.

If Hercules measure correct and ohm tester then most likely one of your batteries or both either are malfunctioning or not working correct.


No if we know that the 8 is the issue, put same Hercules back on the 8 with a different set of batteries if possible.

Do you have any other chargers then what came with the persei?


There are more diagnostics steps to take but following this rule you can eliminate all possible causes and find the real issue.

Whats the best way to clean a cart? Step by step in detail please, with times and whatnot too please

Lately I've had a lot of luck doing something a couple of users have talked about, I think @SamuraiSam told me this last. I think.....

Ziploc bag with the cart in the corner.
Pour iso in so it's covered and twist it. You don't use much iso this way.
Soak the bag in warm water microwaving again when it get's cold. I microwave a cup of water for 30 seconds, put the bag in, and put a little plate on top to hold the bag in place and keep the heat in.

I tend to do this for a full day and I change out the iso 2-3 times. There's usually some stubborn areas I'll pick at with the tool I use for loading and cleaning. I'll also sometimes need to get burnt crap off the wires. I run the tool vertically along the wires unless it's pretty dirty and then I do it horizontally so the wires move a bit and dislodge crap. You have to be careful doing that though to not mess up wires or screw up the wick. I used to just put iso in a shot glass and soak them, this works way better so far.

I'm sure other people do this way quicker and more efficiently. I'm a procrastinator though so I get backups of everything to let me be lazy about cleaning.
