dont know if this is allowed but a mod can delete this if not.. anyways i have a hammer rod that came along w. my hammer top (wasnt expecting it as site said it was no longer included at the time). I dont have a need for it and its still unused; if your in the states i'd be willing to sell it through paypal for $5 + whatever shipping would be.
I'll take you up on that if @DaNi_DuB doesn't want to.:)

So the incompetent fuckwads at usps finally admitted they dont know where my package is. does anyone know how to get your money back for shit the usps lost? Im so fucking fed up and loathing their existence right now. I shouldnt be this angry over 1 cart, but it was gonna be the silver lining to my shitty week...

I just bought a mod box and rda to start vaping with in hopes to quite smoking. It's the ipv3 150w regulated box. Will the SR74 work with it. And should I get the 7v or 3v my box will put out either. And what about running it higher than the specified?

ColiDabber,
So, I had to go up a learning curve to efficiently rebuild KISS cartridges. Once I stopped trying to use the titanium wire, the process became ridiculously easy. The cost of getting proficient at rebuilding KISS cartridges included destroying my first Persei (replaced by up-tech) and buying multiple rebuild kits. Until I bought a crimp tool I destroyed most of the tiny, crimp, sleeve connectors (10 per rebuild kit). So I have about 18 ceramic wicks, many insulators (I can reuse them) and a spools of titanium wire that I may not get around to using. Can anyone recommend a place to get more tiny, crimp sleeves? I don't believe that W9/uptech hs these for sale on the site. I imagine I could find them after a couple days of searching the net, but I'm trying to cut down search time. Thanks.

I don't have an SR74, but to use KISS cartridges with my Smok M50 (regulated box mod) I needed to get the adapter (601 thread to 510 battery/body. I cannot answer the rest of question.

I got my hammer top yesterday from planetvape + a spare sr74x + a pair of aw imr 18650. I will have 1 hercules for my 1st qwet washes, and another one for 2nd washes + bottom chamber reclaim. For the batteries, I bought from 3 different vendors and they all look different... I hope there are different "official" manufacturer of those.

The hammer top is awesome, less missfires and I can use my 18350 battery formation my v3 top wouldnt let me do. I feel satisfied with my w9 setup

Definitely want to try the boro from uptech that is all glass. But either way, it makes it too conspicuous in public. Regular kiss carts is what I use when I need to be conspicuous, and the globe while taking a break, and Hercules at home.

I asked before but I don't think I got an answer. I want to order Nichrome wire to rebuild both 3.7v and 7.4v KISS carts. What gauge should I get? Should I get different gauges for the different voltages? @DieHard & @StormyPinkness, I'm looking in your direction! I know you both have experience with rebuilds.

I've done a decent amount of rebuilding myself but at first SleepinginCA (a departed FC member) sold me some pre-wrapped coils, so I just had to pop them in. Unfortunately, he's no longer selling those, so I tried the official rebuild kit, but like @YouShouldTap_Shatter I'm not super happy with the Ti wire.

I'd also be curious on where to get the little crimps to attach non-resistance wire to the resistance wire. I know some of you have done rebuilds without the non-r wire, how's that working out? Should I not even bother with the non-r wire?

As always, I appreciate everyone's help whenever I've got questions!

So i finally got fed up enough with my sr74x not firing almost every use unless i unscrew and rescrew the two chambers a milllion times.. turns out my gold center post isnt springy. at all.. i can pull it out but when i push it in it just stays w. no spring action.. anyway i can take this apart to try and fix it??

i have never took this part out not even for cleaning when i first got the herc so for it to fail after 2 months bothers me. Wish i would have looked into what was causing this problem sooner.. would have probably not ordered my replacement parts for the sr74x and just put it on the shelf

I use 32ga for my 7.4v and 36ga for 3.7v. I have the official rebuild kit but have not tried it yet. I tried to find just the crimps online but had no luck. All of my rebuilds have been without the NR wire so no crimps. There is definately the possibility to scorch the insulator but I do not ride the button so I have only really burned one. I had some semi clear insulators that I got from Kidney Puncher. They seemed to burn easier.

warm some iso in the microwave for 15 seconds, dunk the gold spring piece. After it stops leaching, pull it out torch it lightly, wipe down inside where the connection is with cotton swabs andn clean iso. Shouod be perfect after

In case @bdmonkeyj3w 's method doesn't work, I've been unscrewing the gold post a bit & extending the rod so they make contact before the two chambers are fully screwed in (almost all the way) as a temporary fix. lessens the amount of times you have to unscrew the chambers.

For $8.99, it seems like a good idea to have a spare post/pin in your kit. I actually have 2 spares, ready to rock at a moments notice. I NEVER want to experience a "dry-docked" Herc again.

Speaking of "spare" parts, I have an SR-71 White Rod that I have no purpose for, as I employ the SR-74. The rod has never been used. I would like to find it a good home and would be glad to give it away to the first interested party for just the cost of shipping.

EDIT: The Rod is spoken for.

If you do a search for "silver crimp bead" or "silver crimp tube" you will find all kinds of low cost crimping options. There are ones made with other types of metal, but silver is going to be your best option.

Edit
They can be found locally in the jewelry making section of most craft stores as well. For the small size you need though, may need to order online.

These ones are probably the right size
