We have a few furred, feathered, and spined critters 'round here!
2 dogs, 5 hens, 1 rooster and a hedgehog. Unfortunately, we lost one of our Silkie chicks last year to a hungry Coyote (R.I.P Baby Biscuit :() - but that's how the circle of life works!

We love ALL living creatures and try to provide a sanctuary for all sorts on our property: deer, squirrels, chipmunks, birds of all kinds, frogs, rabbits, lizards, snakes, salamanders, insects and arachnids....even the moles get love out here.

LOL - me too, man. Me too. Hahaha, unintentionally, I guess my reply is befitting of your username.

To be honest, those (Hobo) spiders were from our old house. We're supposed to have a mutual agreement: I don't kill them and they don't bite me. One time, I must've rolled over on one in my sleep and woke up with 5 big bites on my rib cage. Still have the scars and you can visibly see where the fangs punctured. I relocate them in an effort to maintain the balance.

Putin is a War Criminal
I love creatures, big and small. I really do. There are limits, however, to my love. I recently watched a good movie called "The Secret Life of Bees" where one of the characters makes trails of graham crackers and marshmallows to lead bugs out of the house. Nope, not me. But most other creatures, and when possible/practical I will enlist other creatures and use the circle of life to eliminate unwanted visitors...

Yeah - that is a little excessive. I'm not that crazy - but if I have the chance to save them and relocate, I will. Our chickens also do a pretty good job at pest management (outdoors).

So, you're okay with spiders in the house...for example?

Me, I find it easier to let a fly out the front door than to swat it. But I'll step on, or even squish with my finger almost anything else without compunction -- not in my house! Over a lifetime, I know, that's a lot of karma to build up, but...

And I'm a vegetarian, though I do fully support and encourage my cats to deal with the mice.
