Same here. I really want to know how efficient they are with herb. Pretty good with the full convection I'm assuming, but I'd still like to hear it said explicitlyWill somebody please USE one already and report on how great it is !?!

So I did some fiddling around with the screen's distance in relation to the heater module, and you guys... This thing kicks. I wasn't getting anything too strong out of it until I dropped it down super close to the bottom of the stem, and definitely compressed my pack in the process, and, well, it took me by surprise. I was supposed to do laundry tonight, and now I guess I'm just gonna go chill on the porch couch.

So I got the notification my parcel arrived on Friday, but I spent the week-end away from home. This morning before getting to work, I fetched my mail and took it with me to the office.
At the first occasion, I opened the little packet, which by the way arrived in Europe without any VAT or import taxes (and despite being labelled with its real value!) Don't take this for granted, I most likely got very very lucky this time.
Anyway, seems my luck stopped there, as inside there was tons of bubble wrap but no Nomad to see:
Instead I discovered deep under a broken glass stem, completely caked with reclaim, a DynaVap plastic card, that silly pipe brush found with nearly all Chinese vapes, and what appears to be most likely.... a tuft of human hair!
I'm completely speechless now...

Just playing around with the Nomad and I must say Dans words of wisdom are very true.
“If at any time you feel like the temperature is not hot enough, decrease draw speed. This is especially true for the Medium - Low heat module. Again, I designed this module for a very slow draw speed. It may take time to get used to for some, especially those coming from smoking.”
I thought my battery was going dead so I slowed down my draw speed and BOOM cloud city.
So far I’m only a few stems into my Nomad and so far I can report the Vapor seems cool and “airy” and the effects are very mellow and soothing.
I’ll post more as I learn.

But yes, the sleeve is a very tight fit out of the box. So much that I feared it was completely stuck, maybe because the wood finish was not completely dry, and that I would damage it by applying too much force.
Just be gentle at first. And as Dan said, better too tight than too loose. It's already getting easier now that I played with it a few times.
Apart from that, it's just plain incredible. Everything I expected and some more. The pictures we saw almost looked surreal. Well, when you'll get yours in your hand it will be like a dream that came true. It's even better than you imagine. I just feel like I lack vocabulary to express my feelings and the quality of this fine craftsmanship.
Makes you wonder where the limit between art and craft really lies. Can a tool be called a piece of art? This vape seriously raises this question...

Everything you say is so true. It feels solid like a small brick but very comfortable in the hand. Holding it feels very natural. I’m also amazed how “finished and polished” it looks. I can’t imagined anything changing in the future. It is PERFECT.
I can see how the “back plate” is going to patina very well. When holding the Nomad your finger is drawn to it like a magnet. Everytime you press the botton you are practicaly pinching the Nomad between your thumb and your forefinger. Your forefinger is constantly on the back plate.
Hmmmm.... Am I rambling...Guys I think I’m high.

Mines arrived in the UK and has been living up to its name already! To get to me, its been on a plane from Canada to the UK then on a truck then on another plane then onto a boat to finally get to me here today on the island. Nomadic by name and nature!
Unfortunately unlike @KeroZen I got stung by customs for a grand total of £63/$84.
But my God is it worth it! This thing is totally unbelievable! The craftmanship, fit and finish is nothing short of stunning! The wood is gorgeous, the button is cosmic and the paper is just beautiful and the whole thing is in a league of its own and this is no exaggeration. Dan has achieved wonders here and I haven’t even used it yet!
No pictures just yet as I want to get some nice ones to compliment its beauty. So will be taking some in and around its new island home.
Congrats @Dan Morrison on what is surely the most beautiful vaporizer ever bulit.
Edit: Couldn’t resist....had to. Heres a few pics. The gold on the paper in the sunlight is scintillating! (ZOOM IN on that gold!)

For mine I added some extra to get a deep and dark blackwood body. I wanted a high contrast with the sleeve and also the collar. Dan matched the lichen perfectly to the sleeve tone, and the golden accents are a very good match with the brass too. I went for the obvious wave one as it embodied for me the Asian aesthetics that Dan skillfully played with all along.

Now for some comparisons, splitting the post for clarity sake: does size really matters? Let's see how it compares to my smallest vapes! This thing is not pax-small but it's in the "mini" category. Clearly palmable and almost concealable without requiring large hands.
Next to an early release Milaana, it becomes clear:
And the most important: it has a slightly longer vapor path than its competitors! Here you can see the Nomad stem next to a 14mm glass one from the MVT (which I use in the Project Pure SF, top left on the first picture above) and a 18mm wood stem from Alan (which I use in the iHeat or the Milaana)
This diameter is excellent: 14mm can feel a bit too restricted but is less taxing on the throat, while 18mm feels so free flowing it's a joy but in counter-part you end up sucking a lot of hot dry air. The Nomad one is right in between, adding just enough restriction to yield a very comfortable draw.
Note that in my opinion, many new users will be tricked by how open it is and how little restriction you feel. It's a vape where you need to restrict your inhalation speed. Absolutely not a problem for me, I'm used to it since the Firewood 2 and then all the experience I gained with RBT vapes and all my on-demand convection units.
This is why I got fantastic results and cloudage right from my first session! Incredible and way better than I imagined. No struggling with the manual regulation, no scorching, just perfect, Zion-style. The load came out super light tan, not a single speck of dark brown, yet I was completely wasted and deemed it cashed and to to ABV bin it went!
I used the stock double screen setting to see how it would perform the way Dan intended. I'll surely switch to a more classical single screen fixed inside the stem and another one in the vape to protect the heater from falling debris.
But, to my good surprise, the double screen setup proved easier to use than I imagined: if the external screen is close to the tip, you can remove it easily with just your fingers. Then use a tool to remove or stir the ABV without touching the second screen. No need to push both out with a pencil, and not so different than with a single screen stem.
