Zero cleaning is quite the statement @vapviking when i was looking at one and with OCD i am pretty much tied up in my free time with chores, Cleaning my Herbo is already a bitch cleaning two portable vapes also would be insane hence why i bought a Mighty with capsules and was looking at a second instead of a Mighty/Hopper combo. This is pretty much no cleaning if i threw the capsules out btw.

I hate myself i really do lol but at least you know you are getting all the little bits of info. I do not think i make many mistakes either my first desktop was the Herborizer aka perfection and my first portable was the Mighty. My second portable and final puchase must be complete perfection.
It looks like you are leaning strong toward Mighty. Fine choice.
You desires for "uncompromising" and "perfection", I'm afraid, are like so may other of our human desires-- unattainable.

But we still long for things we may never have or achieve.

I don't fault you for it! By all means, get the Mighty, this is the advice that seems to be coming from here.
As I said, the Hopper will fail and you are too far from the remedy to be able to have a pleasurable ownership experience, especially given the 'perfection' parameter.

I did say that Hopper requires ALMOST zero cleaning. If using standard front end, the front end will need a simple iso soak and quick swap with a q-tip every few days. They sell a small glass bottle that suits the purpose. If using the PFE (I love it) the soak/cleaning is much less frequent. The chamber itself can go a long time, I have not done any chamber clean in weeks now, two Hoppers/two people. If it needs, swab a little with a q-tip slightly moistened with iso. There is never any 'reclaim' to be had, and not only does that mean less cleaning hassle, it means that a very thorough delivery is taking place.

There's a lot of history on the Hopper thread, and lots of talk about cleaning threads with Blu-tack and some other such advice. A lot of this, imo, is result of folk's trlal and error (not tried and repeatedly true procedures) in trying to get their verrrry finicky device to work properly. If Hopper is working properly, as mine have been, I have had no need to clean the threads or battery contacts or any of that stuff, which is what Hopper Labs has told us, too.

Sorry to go on so much about Hoppers, different thread, I know....

I do still love Mighty, too!

So "true" pass through means that it works even with no batteries installed; but since we can't remove the batteries, it's a non issue, imo.

What is important is that even if the batteries are completely drained to zero, you can plug in and vape immediately, and they will charge from zero to full while you vape! That's "pass through" enough for me! It feels and acts just like a desktop.

You don't have to even think or be careful, imo. Charge it up and down, micro or macro, it doesn't matter.

So say my batters start having issues holding a charge, i won't need to send it in for repair because i can still use it IF plugged in?

It's an issue if you care about the longevity and performance of your batteries. You will get "less sessions" per charge rather quickly if you are ignorant of healthy battery management practices. You may not care, but battery replacements aren't very cheap from S&B.

Again, see above.

Maybe not to you, but again see above. The Mighty is not an inexpensive device, and battery replacements cost a fortune for this device IMO.

Well with that rationale, you probably shouldn't care about wasting herb as you are concerned about?

Anyways, good luck with whatever you decide to do!

I really think this vape is for me, except I'm questionable to its longevity/battery issues. Do you think it could hold up long term as a daily driver? (powered on for ~8 hours per day)

If so, would you suggest keeping it plugged in the whole time when in use?

No and yes (with a full charge). Search some of my old posts, as this is how I used mine for months on end.

Help! Just got my brand new mighty :) but it taste & smells awful :puke: I did one burn off at max temp? Wat do?

All of your answers are in this thread, everything has been answered ad nauseam. Search function is your ally!

With that said, keep doing burnoffs! And clean with ISO. Eventually it subsides and goes away after using it with herbs. It's only plastic, it won't kill you ;)

i would research but you limit who can view your profile!

i also tried searching on google "biohacker fuckcombustion.com mighty vaporizer" (but no luck)

Got a guess at what moth/year i should be searching around?

@CanadianFlowers Initally the plastic reeks nevermind being heated up! Heck i remember how even my glass herbo smells as Biohacker said in time with cleans and bud use it will vanish. He could change his profile indeed though to let people see his post history. I am sure i saw it once but when you click his profile its gone. Maybe due to having a convo i could do it or it was someone else.

Hmm

Yep, it went back to zero hours!

Thanx for the welcome :)

Hey! Welcome to the forum.
To be fair, you are quoting me from Jan, 2016, Crafty had only been out a little over a year, so there's a lot more water under the bridge at this point - but still stories are sparse about long Crafty life without user intervention. The best example we have is the pioneering work of @Vambo1980. See;

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-crafty-by-storz-bickel.15984/page-338#post-1066915
You can do a search of his previous posts to learn more. And btw, that's all in the Crafty thread.

By "rollover" do you mean it went to 000 hours after the 600 mark? Or did it go to 601 as expected? Either way, it sounds like you must've done something right in life! to be rewarded like this!

Also, see the work of @Vambo1980 . I think one of his innovations was moving the battery's heat sensor a little away from the battery. Another was soldering connections to the board, eliminating the plugs (weak link in the circuit). But the piece you're linking to on reddit looks very informative.

There are a couple of very easy cleaning methods for Mighty/Crafty c/u's. We've been over this lots of times.
I will admit that the Grasshopper (my reference comparison) requires almost zero cleaning. I love the new Hopper performance front end (PFE), even less cleaning with this in place. But I don't find cleaning Mighty to be much trouble.

I am officially loving the Mighty.
This is the lowest temp I have ever vaped at and had such productive results. (360ºF)
I now have tried every unit made by S&B.... and this one is about the most impressive (though it won't make a dent in my Volcano Use)
I will be recommending this unit to anyone that I think can afford one!

Have you new Mighty owners been enjoying the relatively new boost feature? See manual p.17-18

At end of session, no more need to turn temp back down. It remembers your session starting and boost temps Boost seems very handy to me, and enjoyed the mindless nature of it with the Crafty.

Fairly certain everyone's been there -- start session, get a larger and harsher cloud than expected, look at temp and it's over 200C where it was when you finished the prior session. Crap. Hold minus button, crap, overshot, now have to tap tap in the plus direction. I want my firmware updated with boost, because I'm a whiney, lazy hedonist, and this is a major first world problem for me.

Cbd is simply marvelous in the mighty .I find it a much more enjoyable experience as opposed to dabbing it off a nail.although the effects are stronger on the nail the session style of the mighty really highlights nuances of the cbd I haven't experienced before .
Not to harp on the capsules but they really handle anything you can throw at them . Not even tempted to do a direct pack !
Happy Friday :D
Lake time in a few ! Come on in, the water feels great. Don't forget to make sure you leave mighty on the shore ! Oh how what a terrible way for a vaporizer to die ..

Came to read about grinders; fucked combustion
I used the loading tool to fill a Mighty bowl so it was full but probably not at all packed, or barely packed. Medium grind, I suppose (one pass through upright SCS 4-piece). Scale said it weighed 0.15 g. Also looked like about 0.15 g.

Just in case me or my scale screwed up, is 0.15 g consistent with what you'd expect to fill a Mighty bowl? If yes, please Like this post.

Hey so i took the time to search for your past post, and i did find was you saying you used it in rotation with another second Mighty and they handled 2 grams / per day perfectly.

I hope you can see i attempted to search, but i was wondering more about if one Mighty vaporizer will hold up as daily driver going thru ~5 grams/every day (if it needs to be kept plugged in all the time thats fine)

Or would repairs be required too often?

2 Mighty's in my household, 2 vapour enthusiasts! ;)

Plugged in or not, at 5g/day in the Mighty (holy crap! :o) I think it's pretty heavy duty use and IMHO only I think that the PLENTY would be a much better suited device from you.

I don't know if you would need repairs frequently (probably not, but who knows) but I do think your battery will go downhill pretty quickly. Why not be a pioneer and use it plugged in on full battery and see what happens?
