The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

I would like to advance Vapercussion's
idea of using Firefly concentrate pads for microdosing. These things are great!
Thanks for noticing!

Also a tip for removing the pads from the capsules, I use
one of those Iphone key thingies and push through the middle hole on the bottom of the capsule.
Great idea, much better than scraping out the pad from the top. Will extend the life of the screen as well...

Thanks dzoinp!! I have wanted a Mighty for a while and was ready to pull the trigger but reading this thread started to turn me off. Between all the capsules, titanium screens and pads my head was spinning.
Forget about the pads and screens and just buy one. Fill the bowl, old school style, and enjoy. That's it! Later, after you feel comfortable, you can check out the options

Question about the Mighty... I've read of quite a few people using the Fury 2 to pack one bowl and have a draw every now and then over the course of a day.

I'm just wondering, can you do the same thing with Mighty/Crafty?

Or if that won't work, alternatively can you just load enough for one/two draws anytime you want, using pre-prepared capsules or just straight in the bowl, and it'll still work as nicely as these units are famous for?

Appreciate any info... I have a thread going in Ask FC, just deciding between fury2/crafty/mighty now so trying to gather some final info.

True that, as well. After three years with Crafty I got the Mighty and read this thread from page 400. I used Crafty without any capsules or other gimmicks. Just after reading some 3000 messages in this thread I’m just trying to get even more out of this hobby. Capsules and screens offer a way to extract more efficiently (I cannot do a whole oven fully packed with my lowish tolerance) and, at the same time, lowering the need to clean the CU.

Sure, just like with Crafty, I could just enjoy the fully packed oven over a few sessions. Now I just have an option to figure out slighty different way to consume my herbs. No biggie, there’s no right or wrong, in any case the Mighty is awesome. ❤️

Looks & sounds great! Any idea if these are available in any online stores in EU..?

In any case, if the shipping fees are reasonable will give these a try!
Try putting in a half load and then topping with a liquid pad. You will get great extraction with a smaller load and the LP adds a bit of conductivity which seems to help with full extraction. I much prefer this to using the dosing capsules although the caps are great for flower/concentrate sandwiches.

Hey guys, just wondering if there is any real difference between these two dosing capsule products:

Magazine with 8 Dosing Capsules
and
Magazine with 8 Dosing Capsules for Liquids

Are they exactly the same besides the liquid ones coming with pads?

I believe they are the same capsules and, as you guessed, the 2nd ones come with pads. These pads are sized to fit the caps and as such they are slightly smaller than the standard liquid pads.

I am loving these dosing capsules. These things are great, you don't even need to use a screen with them and the are cheap enough to toss when I am out and about...there goes .35 cents. Another great thing about the dosing capsules is that I am getting two good sessions from one capsule. I just turn the Mighty off once I am satisfactorily stoned. When I want to get high again I just turn the Mighty on and vape the last half of the capsule.

This is an excellent example why storz and bickel is so great. They already had a great vape so instead of changing the vape design they improved what they had and made it more functional and convenient. Brilliant! One last stroke of genius is that S&B made the dosing capsules to work with their entire line of top shelf vapes. Thank you S&B!

Damn, those Germans are smart when it comes to design and engineering.

Try it without the lid.
Do you mean without the dosing capsule lid? If you are speaking of the dosing capsule...no thank you. I like the advantage of no screen in the cooling unit much more than no lid on the capsule. No lid on the capsule defeats the entire purpose of the dosing capsule.

If you are going to use dosing capsules without the lid then it makes more sense not to use them at all. Just throw your weed into the bowl and use a cooling unit screen.

Just remember that if you are using caps and no CU screen that it is important to wipe out
the inlet of the CU. I do this after every 2nd or 3rd cap. Best to do while the unit is still warm.
I find a micro-fibre cloth wrapped around the end of a small screwdriver works well.

@BornAgainSteama How's the vapor production? I have to try your methods next cleaning.
The vapor production is excellent and not degraded a bit using capsules. One of the good things about a capsule you can pop it out mid sesh and finish latter. Very convenient.

This is some very good advice that is easy and fast. Thanks pal.

You may want to talk to @JCat , he's selling batteries with pre-soldered wiring harness (primarily for Crafty), which makes it plug 'n play. He's posted about it mainly over there in the Crafty thread.

AFAIK there's a tec screw behind the label (loosen w/heat gun to remove). The 2 halves interlock and must be slid apart vertically, but I don't know which one goes up or which one down!

Let us know how you progress with this!

Thanks for this. Yes you are correct there are 2 very small Torx screws ( star shape. Very small) under the sticker showing the serial number. This peels of relatively easy. My batteries have life in then so I'm not going to open it yet. Shouldnt take long to run them down.!!!! I will post when I finally get in. Will also add some pics. This is just the start of the 1st phase of mightys starting to show age. S&B will have nothing to do with you after 2 years apart from trying to sell you another unit. 2 years if you are a Daily user is just about what you get before battery issues. For the price you pay I think you need to look at good alternativ s with a better warranty.
