Burn off needed? Any grinding preference? .1 gram okay? Loose or tight pack? Thanks so much I’m advance!

- no harm in a quick burn-off. probably not necessary
- the grinder it comes with works great, but the mighty's very tolerant of different grinds
- .1g is fine.
- no need for a tight pack. if it doesn't reach the top of the bowl with a light tamp, put the liquid pad on top.

I usually start @ 165ºC, increase the temp 5º every 2 hits or so. I get nothing but flavor at low temps. @ 175-185ºC, I usually get clouds and good flavor. above that the flavor's worse. at low temps, I find it helps to let it 'cook' for ~30 sec. after the vibration tells you you're at temp instead of vaping right away.

you'll figure it all out fast. the mighty has a reputation for pretty much zero learning curve.

my favorite thing: you never have to stir.

btw: the ABV will be ocher, not dark brown. that's normal. people have put mighty ABV in higher-temp vapes to see if there was anything left (because it's not dark brown...) - there wasn't, color notwithstanding.

How does one tell if their Mighty is the “newer” version? Is packaging different? Is there a way to tell based on serial number?
It will have the %20 battery life sticker and “inhale the difference” logo on the front,
Also the production date will be labeled on the box

Here is an image from the interweb and it looks just like my new mighty.

I had a search and look back here, and around March '18 there were some reports that Mighty or Crafty units were appearing without sticker again but that it had the new battery by default.
This might also have been people receiving old stock.
From what I gather if your Mighty has a production date printed on box of 08-2017 or later, it quite certainly has the 20% better battery.

This post below has pics of the two outer package styles available since the launch of the new battery c. Jan 18 and upgrades (if any).
@Rollingstoned is correct that the last change many of us have heard of just for newer style packaging, is the one that will say "Inhale the Difference" on the front like these pics:
Here is some clarity on new packaging and models, I purchased the left model from a third party retailer it came with an 08-2017 production date, 20% more battery sticker I’m pretty sure this is the latest model in older packaging.

Regarding the old damaged model.
The rma “In regards to your defective housing, we can offer you either the replacement of the defective Housing free-of-charge, or, alternatively, a new MIGHTY for the price of 79,00 €.”

I paid the €79 and I received a new replacement mighty
direct from S&B, the mighty came in a new box design
with a 01-2018 production date, 20% more battery sticker.
see the box on the right side in the photos below.

So I hope this helps the regulars in here and anyone who is
on the market to purchase a new mighty
my advice is to buy direct from S&B to ensure you get the latest model.

I think this is the newest box.

As you were.
Had the Mighty a month now. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I
maybe a little obsessed with my Mighty. When I'm not using it (which
is waaaay to often) I'm looking at it, cleaning it, touching it, reading
about it (mostly here), thinking about it.
Just as ChooChooCharrlie has gotten all evangelical on Shredder's idea of
removing the CU screen when using capsules. I would like to advance Vapercussion's
idea of using Firefly concentrate pads for microdosing. These things are great!
Much better quality than the S&B ones (which I find hard to get in and out of the caps).
They are a tighter, denser - you can fit 3 of them into a cap. For a micro dose I
loosly fill a cap to 3/4's lightly tamp it down to about 2/3 using the packing tool and
and place a pad and lid on top. For a nano dose I fill 1/2 way tamp down to 1/3 and put 2 pads
on top, I was amazed that I was able to get 6 - 7 good hits from a nano dose (1 x 170C,
3-4 @ 180C and 2 @ 195C) from an amount that if I had combusted in a bong I would have
drawn it through after a second. Also a tip for removing the pads from the capsules, I use
one of those Iphone key thingies and push through the middle hole on the bottom of the capsule.
So if you have these pads give them a go and let me know what you think.
Now a couple of questions
When using capsules exclusively how often do you need to replace the chamber screen
and clean out underneath it?
I am determined not to succumb to VAS BUT if I were to have a (non battery) back up for my Mighty what would you choose? I have narrowed it down to a Dynavap Omnivap M or a Plenty. I use herb only and I dont mind playing with fire.

Since you have the Mighty I would get the vapcap M as it less expensive, very high quality, and gives a different taste and high than a convection vaporizer. Plus it is so damn small it is one of the easiest vapes to conceal.

I’ll do some research for science and will report later.

Ok. So I’m having the out-of-the-box coarse screen on the Cooling Unit and then put a capsule in AND additionally a fine screen on top of the capsule. Tried to close the CU but there’s not room for the extra screen as the fine screen is wider then the ”hole” in the bottom of the CU facing the oven.

When closing the CU It got twisted and seems that normally the capsule is very close to the screen of the CU. The extra fine screen got bended and at the first attempt got stuck to the CU. Then I pushed the fine screen to fit the airway hole on the CU. Worked well afterwards but I definitely need to replace the coarse screen on the CU with the fine screen unless the current setup keeps working well. Now - with extra fine screen loosely staying addionally to the CU - I’ll need to decide if I just should replace the coarse screen with the fine screen. Now the addional screen can be easily knocked out and cleaned over the sink, for example.

Try and learn process. :)

Hey my friend, @shredder suggested not even using a screen in the CU with the capsules. I just tried it and it works great. For now I have no screen in my cooling unit using capsules which is all I use in my mighty now. Maybe give it a try?

Sure, might give it a try soon and I’ve read about that method, too. But currently my aim is no reduce parts or dust of the herb getting to the cooling unit to lower the need of the CU cleaning.

I’m all about stealthy use of herb as it’s illegal here. Plus due to my non-herb-accepting girlfriend I have limited possibilities to clean my vape.

Give a double weave titanium screen a try if that is your goal. Little to no debris and good airflow for about 8 bowls before you need to clean your double weave screen. The CU remains clean for much longer...it just gets a nice resin coat.

It's so easy to use this vaporizer...WTF!

Put my newest member of the collection through the paces this weekend. It really is, form and feature wise, the jitterbug phone of vapes. I don’t mean that as a slight but rather a nod to the simplicity of use, sturdy build, and intuitive controls and layout. I was caught off guard by how little draw resistance there is and the effectiveness as well. BTW it had no 20% more sticker but the manufacture month was April of this year. Glad I finally decided to pick one up! Now I’m really motivated to read through the thread!

Thanks dzoinp!! I have wanted a Mighty for a while and was ready to pull the trigger but reading this thread started to turn me off. Between all the capsules, titanium screens and pads my head was spinning.

You don't know a good thing when you see it. The dosing capsules are fucking awesome. They change everything...but if they 'seem' too complex you definitely should avoid them.

Don't give up, Tommybwell! It looks like you're new out here. This site is not only an amazing source of information, reviews, and discussion, it's also a hobbyist's dream site. Folks get *into it.* If you want the schematics on a vape so you can rewire the heating element; or lengthy discussions about esoteric black market batteries that will CHANGE YOUR LIFE; or detailed explanations on how to blow your own glass to maximize your device--then this is the place for you.

But it's also a wonderful place to sit back and enjoy other people's impressive obsessions and curiosities ... and then, with appreciation, skip all that and pick up a vape like the Mighty. It couldn't be an easier. vape to use, right out of the box. I LOVE reading about all the neat modifications and add-ons that people do out here, but I rely on these forums for much more than that--and much less.

Good luck!

@Tommybwell , you were ready to pull the trigger.Almost there. One thing I can say with a great deal of certainty is that you won't have regrets. Get the dosing capsules and something to tote them around with ( capsule caddy/ keychain).

I've seen very few members on this forum that have had negative reviews about the Mighty.

Vapes are freakin great. So many to choose from, so little time.;)

True that, as well. After three years with Crafty I got the Mighty and read this thread from page 400. I used Crafty without any capsules or other gimmicks. Just after reading some 3000 messages in this thread I’m just trying to get even more out of this hobby. Capsules and screens offer a way to extract more efficiently (I cannot do a whole oven fully packed with my lowish tolerance) and, at the same time, lowering the need to clean the CU.

Sure, just like with Crafty, I could just enjoy the fully packed oven over a few sessions. Now I just have an option to figure out slighty different way to consume my herbs. No biggie, there’s no right or wrong, in any case the Mighty is awesome. ❤️

Looks & sounds great! Any idea if these are available in any online stores in EU..?

In any case, if the shipping fees are reasonable will give these a try!

sorry on that one, but you could possibly contact newvape or errlectric and see if they could mail you a couple in an envelope? I am sure there is a source, it is just a matter of finding it. Good-luck!
