A question for all Mighty aficionados out there:

Having an option to get a regular Mighty or a Medic (and being a "regular" user, lol), why would you not opt for the Medic?

Your input would be appreciated.

Technically both are the same. The Mighty is only TÜV-certified as a medical device and so you can get a medical prescription on the Medic and health insurance in Germany pays for it. Therefore the Medic is about €100 more than the Mighty

Too bad the medic does not swap out all the aluminium for stainless steel, I can`t believe they have an aluminium oven, everyone had a fit when Boundless were thinking of using aluminium in the Tera, why is this so different and accepted as fine?

For one, the German medical authorities have approved it for medical use. I'd be willing to bet that their approval process is a tad more thorough and stringent than random people on the internet.

Skeptism is just a feeling. A TüV-approval needs hard scientific facts.

I just read that soaking your CU with the screen is not advised. I soaked my CU with screen for a couple times now (in iso 99%). Just got routine and i forgot. How screwed am i?

It's not a problem at all. The only part that might ever be a problem is the locking tab because the hologram can start to loosen if soaked for a long time (though I've not experienced this, ever).
Soaking the screen is a good way to clean it. Use the brush, too, just let it air dry afterwards.

And on the same note, why is the plastic body/CU acceptable? I'm guessing there are different grades of both plastic and aluminum, and S&B uses a very high grade of both...

I agree with @vapviking about leaving the CU screen in during cleaning. I honestly don't know why S&B suggests removing it tbh. That screen can be a PITA to get re-seated properly, so removing it imo should be a last resort, not a weekly task.

is cleaning with iso in container in ultrasonic bath wrong ? I just have done it but it did not completely removed the gunk on the inner screen part. did it only for 5-7mins

After all it's an instruction vid and should show everything to know -the bottom screen removal in the vid seems far more easy than all the other past suggestions.

And do you soak the silicone piece, that comes with the glass mouthpiece, in ISO too? Mine isn’t white anymore but kind of brownish even after cleaning it with ISO.

glass mouthpiece gasket replacement = medicinal grade silicone hose size 5/7 fits better than that original gasket which I lost and which was crawling under the cu, just by popping the mouthpiece in and out, this solved it and If I would lost it I just snap another piece from that hose. I was unable to use that part for a long time because of the lost gasket and nobody seems to know where to buy replacements, guess you wont need too.

I was seeking for the same info some time ago, without success so Im thankful that I found solution which might benefit others. I think it fits better than the original because it dont fall out that much

my screen was soaked for weeks, nothing happened to it Its the hologram as fellow fc member suggested
