The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

Every Mighty that I've purchased for friends I have removed the course screen from the CU and replaced it with the fine one before giving it to them. I don't notice any difference in draw restriction and the reclaim in the CU comes out nice and clean, not riddled with scooby snacks. :2c:
:peace:
...............................................................................
The stock Mighty CU screen reminds me of a Moto Guzzi Lemans I had with carb stacks and a screens designed to keep birds from being sucked into the carbs :) Not much filtering done by either .

FYI, I also think the dosing capsule holes are too big so place a fine mesh screen that I cut into the bottom and the top of the capsule. In a couple capsules lids I actually have a fine mesh screen AND a tiny tiny thin hemp filter above the screen which really keeps the micro ABV dust in its place ;)

Why you guys pressing buttons to stall the auto off. Puff puff pass or If alone just keep on puffing.
Sometimes I'd prefer to just let time stand still and not puff it if I don't care to, especially after a few tasty hits...
But I do want Mighty ready when I'm ready to resume.
Sometimes, even with the wife, we both feel the same and don't care to keep passing; we both have a lot of patience.
There's many ways to ride the waves.

Mighty is splitting at top. Should I be concerned about affecting performance? Bout it used and it’s older jsybwant to make sure it will be ok to use after a while.

It should be fine as long as you keep it tight with what's suggested above or I bought military grade elastics that also work wonders as I have the same issue. Curious to see what s&b would do and for how much as I got a new one recently and its quite impressive to the old one I had. The cu snaps on like crazy. Can't wait to get my old unit updated. But how much it cost?

Damm thats my number one fear with the easyflow and i hear cracks when its cooling i am sure thats expanding plastic? And i had thought about cable ties but military grade elastic?

Ok but what about heat sock too? You know like the cloud evo? In a cold time of year that helps the battery too. Can i ask for a pointer on materials? I wish i had money for 1000 from china to be honest and sell on ebay.

But i cant knit a prototype for the holes and dont know the material.

I put it in a cup of 91% ISO and let it sit for 2 hours. Put it under HOT tap water on HIGH. Blast the contents until the cup runs clear. Take out your pieces most of the gunk should be gone. Scrape any leftover residue and run a pipe cleaner through the straw. Replace bands. Just like new.

Lately I've been reading that you shouldn't do a burn off with the CU removed. Where did this originate? I do burnoff's with and without the CU, and don't see it struggling to keep temp at all. It hovers around the temp the same way as when the CU is on. Just my 2c

Same, i do have these (light) scratches inside my chamber. No idea where they came from. Only used the liquid pad one or twice so i doubt its from the pad. Might have to do something with a fast temp change. No idea.

Did send it to S&B to let it get checked. They said its completely fine. Cleaned my unit and i got some fee stuff!

QUESTION: Anyone uses hemp fiber as a (extra) filter? I just read about it in another topic.

Guys, doesn’t it annoy you that the max temperature is 210C? Maybe they should raise it to 220, 230?

There are some cannabidiols missing with only 210C. I’d love that almost black, fully extracted product. Damn, FlowerPot can hit like 420C. I know, it’s a desktop, more powerful and maybe a portable couldn’t handle a 420C temp (or maybe it can, since you can combust with the Milaana), but still, it could be at least 220C.

I’ve read you guys saying you get full extraction at 210C, but how come, If some cannabidiols are released only at 220C or even further? It’s physically impossible.

But what the interest of the boost mode, I'm happy to automatize the upping of temp but when it get down obviously there is no vapor.

And amazingly vaping at 173C when I use the liquid pad on top produce loads of clouds with good savor

Well, I've taken ABV from the Mighty, put it in a log vape (that goes hot enough, easily, to combust) and found zero visible vapor left in the product. My experience with both of my Mightys is they extract fully.

So it's not impossible. Maybe it says 210 on the display but it's actually a little hotter in practice? I have no idea. But I'd be shocked to hear from a Mighty user that they extracted any substantive vapor from their Mighty ABV if they'd been hitting it at 210 for several pulls. My experience with the Mighty is that when it's done with weed, so am I. :2c:

I felt like you at first but after some time of use i rarely go over 200C even though at first i was always hitting the 210C and hoped for having more, this was more a smoking craving, but still that would be good to have this opportunity but i think ill have a lot more go to 240 and have much more nasty chemical, so it a bad for a good ill say

This ^^ :clap::tup:

I have taken to putting a Liquid Pad on top of my Mighty loads. This allows me to use smaller load sizes if I wish, keeps crumbs out of the CU, and I get very evenly browned AVB due to the added conduction on top of the load.

BUT, I'm convinced that all I am doing by going from normal S&B AVB color (I've heard it called Volcano poo haha) and the brown of my LP topped AVB is boiling off any remaining chlorophyll as there just doesn't seem to be any good stuff left.

I'm still a big Mighty fan. Yes, I would love for them to get off of their asses and do some updates/new releases....but the Mighty is still king of portables in my universe right now.

Im on my second mighty and already going for third because of the housing, where the cu mounts broke again. I was thinking abou milaana, when I want to use the mighty I really want to leave it to preheat itself, does this needs to be done with milaana, is there any other vape with exchangeable battery that can compare to mighty? thx

Good thing you paid less than $100 for it, oh hang on that's the Vivant Alternate.
Too bad the new Tera had so much trouble, it may have got S&B R&D guys to get off their lazy arses and do a proper update of the Mighty, how about a nice aluminium housing to set you apart from all the plastic stuff getting around, too late, even a cheap ass Starry has a metal body and user replaceable batteries.

do you use bubller for this to happen or it a common failure on the mightys?

Yep the Mighty housing will crack with regular use of the water adapter. You put your mighty upside down into a glass pipe and now those little plastic pieces are at the whim of a lot of torque. It's not a matter of if but when.

I'm not sure what the normal life span of the plastic with the stock cooling unit is.

Aluminium housing yes yes yes the easyflows grinding down the top of mine it only works one way 5mm clockwise sometimes it just refuses and it takes 20sec. But its still better than a plastic cu they can say what they like plastics a nasty material with its days numbered.

In 200 years they will call us the plastic cancer generations like the victorians and the smog. Unless @JCat can get a aluminium clone housing and when he changes the battery use a aluminium housing.

Who clones a aluminium mould tho does it work that way? S&B could do it but as i said plastics an accepted thing sadly so they have no incentive.

I think the only adapter that poses risk is the Easy Flow adapter, which comes with it's own cautions about overtightening. Several folks have modified theirs with a dremel tool to minimize the risk. Could also be done with a file.
There are certainly other adapters available that work, some may work better than than EF, while not posing a risk to the Mighty housing.
Then there's the good old Muzzmod, which is a near perfect solution, but not an easy diy to get just right.
And, so, today's front runner has to be the V3 from Delta3dstudios.
