I've been sampling several different strains. I noticed sometimes I can get 15 hits off a filled capsule other times maybe 6.

I need to start paying attention to that and figuring out what the look and feel is of the types that just seem to keep giving.

Along those lines, for maximum efficiency, dry or moist herb? Grind it fine, medium or coarse? I haven't found anything yet that simply doesn't work. I'm sure there is a best practices though.

Your right it will vape about any herb. You really don't have to grind a certain way or only moist or dry herb. It just works.

For shits n giggles sometime just stuff a full bud in the chamber and start at about 360F and slowly ramp up the temps. The hits will be kind of wispy and take a bit to get started, but once vapor starts it lasts forever and if you bore easy just lift the cooling unit and break the bud up with your orange tool thing, and keep hitting it.

And thens there's the concentrate sandwich with herb, and liquid capsules. The mighty really is versital.

There's a member here who does exclusively that! He wants the terps in his lungs, not the grinder...

I’m glad I wasn’t going crazy lol. I loadup kush berry and get like three or four hits in a capsule. After getting like nine with Animal cookies. A few whispy ones in the berry I could count as one I guess, so about double. That’s pretty neat figuring that shit out. I have Og and green crack to test next.

i am about to purchase the mighty but just wanted to know because i checked the cannabis boiling temp and thcv is vaped at 220 degrees celcius and the might goes up to 210 does that mean im not getting all the canbinoids and will mean that im not getting the most out of the cannabis?

I was worried about that as well. After having it about a week it’s one of my favorite vapes. Easy to load and you make big big clouds at 180 degrees. Itsvery efficient too.

This is a huge topic, not really specific to Mighty. Lots of insights (and also mis-givings) in this heading;

http://fuckcombustion.com/forums/vaporization-discussion.5/

Above 210C, there are some compounds yet unreleased, one of which is benzine and is IMO, not desirable. Others are simply the sedating kind which I'm not usually looking for either, though some folks might. Others totally enjoy (or require for medical purposes) only the goods released at lower temps.

Vape temperature is not a binary yes/no matter. Lots of things are being released well below 'boiling temp.' I'm not so sure your research is accurate as to boiling temp of thc.
But I'm certainly no scientist.

My short answer is that Mighty is a fabulous vape; those guys at S&B know the shit outta some science and have pretty much dialed it in with their products. I highly (pun intended) doubt you would be disappointed.

Many other vapes also go only to 210 - others might show 220C on the display, but that often don't is the real bowl temp, it really depends where the temp is measured, and temp stability ;)
Aside of that, it's also more about the amount of energy delivered into the herb which is not measured with temp alone but also the airflow and time - maybe think of it like the vaporization of water, or iso...

Hey everyone,

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm looking to get a new portable and would dig to get people's views on why the Mighty is worth shelling out the extra $$$ for as apposed to the Solo 2?

Peace.

I have not tried both. I did wonder the same thing when I purchased my Mighty. Watching this you tube video helped me to decide.

I can tell you when the Mighty sits down at the table with you, it's not there to play.

thanks for the info guys and yes if you check the cannabis boiling points the last one is THCV which adds to thc to create more sedative effect i guess

And is present in fairly miniscule quantities. Personally, I'm not worried about it and I have used my Mighty very successfully for 18 months now. I run at 385 F and most often boost to 410 F for that last clean up draw or two.

Cheers

so will thcv be missing or will it be vaporised

I don't know what is missing, but I do know there are not many vapes that extract better than a mighty. If there is anything left it will be in the abv. It extracts evenly and fairly complete, depending on the temps. A lot of folks don't vape past 380F or so, because high temp hits do lose flavor and they can get rough. And that's on any vape. If your young and have iron lungs this won't apply, and good on you!

If your concerned about getting every last bit of cannabinoids out of your herb you can extract from your abv with a solvent. We do this for making cannacaps. The caps we make have a sedating effect. Google has lots of info on this. Best of luck

I hope they take care of me, I have never dealt with S&B. Im very delicate with this vape so I dont know how this could of happened. Did you have to send in your defective unit to S&B before they sent you a replacement?

This is my first time ever dealing with S&B, my Mighty only lasted 3 weeks.
It stopped producing vapor after 4-5 hits.
I just received my Brand new unit today, only took 6 days total (started RMA monday morning and shipped my unit monday morning)
You do have to send it in first
Once they receive your unit, usually theyll ship yours out the next day
This was a very pleaseant experience, super fast service and no questions asked
It did feel robotic since i never talked to a human
Only downside is the time without a vape sucks, had to pull out my damn pipe that tasted like hell...

Despite the displayed temps, you’ll find the Mighty provides full extraction. I’ve never been able to pull visible vapor from Mighty ABV in powerful desktop AC-powered vapes.

From my experience, the only way to extract anything else from your weed after the Mighty is done with it is to hold a flame to it. :p:2c:

ok thanks how can i get smooth hits at 410 then i have very weak lungs i take mini tokes of joints and on the vap cap i inhale with the carb open
I think the best way to do full extraction without harsh hits is to temp step. I like to start at 180C or so and move up in five degree increments when the vapor drops off. By the time you get to 210C you’ve already extracted 90% or more so those last high temp hits are usually, if not smooth, exactly, certainly not harsh.

Play around with a few approaches. You find one that works for you.

Use a water tool. Vape (and smoke) are extremely dry, so adding water to the equation makes the hits much smoother.

Be careful with that. Mine face planted from a simple standing position and that's when it got the first cracked 'rib', one of those kinda delicate ones that surround and shield fingers from touching the top rim of the bowl. Like that first ding on a new guitar or surfboard...
I use one of @Ratchett 's 3d printed stands. They're inexpensive and come in some fun colors, including 'glow in the dark'!
