Thank you @coolbreeze for keeping active the red thread of "Friday Lotus".

I tested an excellent hash ...
I almost always make a flower sieve ... This time, I made it pure with hemp fiber. It asked me for mor heating than my usual and generally more effort mix. But I obtained 3 exceptional puffs during my session.

Happy weekend everyone !

Yeah that was my experience with direct draw butane vapes, like I was about to puke. I had designed and commissioned a really unique one too, essentially impossible to combust with and made from 100% glass so I could truly eliminate wood as a plausible irritant.

By far some of the best flavor I ever had in a vape though.
Did you isolate it to the wood being the issue ?

I've been looking at the lotus for a while and think I finally talked myself into getting one. I probably would have ordered today but they are out of stock on the amaranth kits. What's annoying is that all the individual parts are listed in stock but not the kits haha. Oh well I'll keep checking.

hey guys!

just for your info :)
the amaranth kits are out of stock, we only have about 5 amaranth CAPS left in our US warehouse, after those they are totally sold out and we don't plan to make new once as it was a limited edition.

enjoy all this great evening!

All the best

Lotus is reasonably forgiving with the heating IMO
I agree.
I tend to think it depends on the flame’s length and your inhale speed. A kind of balance between the two :science:
Well stated. It took me awhile to turn it up to the distance between the petal tips but for me it works way better than my customary .5" flame. Once you get used to it you can pack pretty full and not really need to stir much if at all. It's become my go-to outdoors. As long at you have a sense of the flame length/direction you can rely on taste and feel instead of visual cues. For me it works better than a brick or Dynavap as the target is larger and doesn't require the same precision.

Every time I use it I'm impressed with what a great vape it is.

This cactus rig is awesome for the lotus. Needs an ash catcher unless you use it backwards.

It took me about 5 bowls to get my technique down. I like the size of the bowl. It's like a decent size microdose for someone with a ball vape tolerance. I haven't accidentally combusted yet but came close a couple times.

I made this piece myself a while back in a "make your own bowl" pottery class.

Happy "Lotus Friday" everyone!
I'm cheating a little because these are pictures from this week and not today...
but I won't be able to use my Lotus until later....

so here is my new pipe... beautifully made by @Aezhenn
the workmanship is incredible!

the weight, the balance of the pipe, the silky texture of the wood, the beauty of the details of the wood, and the inlays... I really want to use it all day long!

and... the colors match the walnut Lotus perfectly!! it's really a beautiful setup 😍
