The Lotus Vaporizer

One week in and I am still surprised how good the Lotus is. The flavor is superb, hits hard and maintenance is almost nonexistent. It's surprisingly easy to use, I find it even less finicky than Vapman. All in all, it makes perfect sense to have Lotus as a part in your torch vape collection.

I just used a new rebuild kit on my old lotus and it’s great, these guys were awesome to make the new ones original spec so we finally have a rebuild resource again.
Yeah I considered that, but mine is quite messed up and I would pretty much want to replace every part, including the wood. The top ring (not in restore kit) has chips out of the black stuff. The wood has some charring, and still kinda smells like a porta potty when warm from blowing bong water into it back in the day. One set of screw holes is unusable. I would want to replace the thin bottom plate too, which is not in the kit either. I also like the updates that have been made to the design, especially the cap screen, and want to support the homies. The old one may become a dedicated shed vape. I can just keep it in there and not worry about it too much.

Thank you @VapeKnight  That lovely piece of wood is a stand @phattpiggie kindly made for me, with bocote and blackwood, and the matching lid and jar :)
It all started with the twisted triple stem made of bocote, then a 14mm stem and a small 10mm stem, all twisted and made of bocote and Blackwood. So I had to have all these stems on a stand, one to rule them all :bowdown:I’ll post a pic when I get to have the right light, I promised it a while ago to the fantastic maker of all these beauties ;)

In the last year of owning a Lotus, I have grown to love this vape. Enough that I even purchased a second one and more accessories. I have always followed the basic lightning technique of preheating for 2-3 sec then inhaling until I see a gentle red glow before removing the torch. This has worked flawlessly until today. For the first time since owning this vape, I used it outside in direct sunlight which prevented me from seeing any glow and I combusted horribly. :puke: Being that this is completely user error, it in no way diminishes my love but rather reminds me of why I chose to FUCK COMBUSTION when I did.

I've always followed your technique. My Lotus is 15 years old, and I use it about 4 times a year when in the mood for that special effect and flavor.
I treated it with love the day I got it, and while I have given Lotus Vapes to patients, I never shared mine to avoid discoloration.
