I am ok trading off some taste for the stealth and portability. You just can't get away from that with ultra portables because of the short vapor path. I am thinking taste might be similar to my Imag+ and that would be fine.
I don't think I've read anywhere that the GH gets unbearably hot; only that it can get hot during a number of prolonged sessions, which may typically not be the way most will expect to use it. Also, if the mouthpiece does get uncomfortable for some then all one would have to do is let it cool down, which shouldn't take long at all. OR one could blow on it a few times to quicken the cool down. I think that as with most vapes we learn to use them in our comfort zone, and not necessarily attribute accomodations as limitations. Anyway, we should wait to hear from many user reviews before judging real world performance issues.I don't think it's gonna look aesthetically good if you have a mouth guard just because it runs hot after prolonged use. I thought they had the means to counter this problem. Now all it seems to me is another Cera in production. If that's how long the batteries last for, then I could attest that it wouldn't be much different than the Cera besides it's capability to actually vaporize without learning techniques for vapor production. Regardless of plastic or silicone being used as the guard's material, it will look ugly IMO.
@Iwien I think you don't understand my concept of liquid cooling. But I'd love your opinion(s) on this vaporizer. Let us know if you ever find anything futuristic about it.
not necessarily attribute accomodations as limitations
Yes, that so much. You can hear about this over at the Fire Fly thread all the time.
If it holds .2-.25 and can kill that load in 4 hits(or more depending on draw style) then the 4 bowls per charge is not at all a problem to me. I only vape .05-.1 per session personally.
They said it recharges in 90 minutes, so it can fully recharge between sessions for me, that's a good thing.
A battery swap only takes seconds as well.
Depending on vapor quality and how well the GH holds up over time, this may be my perfect portable and home unit as well (if it's just myself and maybe a friend). At home it will probably nearly live attached to my water pipe(mouthpiece heat won't be much of an issue).
I don't need a party vape as most people I know prefer to choke on combustion.
Hells yeah! That thing looks awesome! I'm totally digging what I hear and see so far. Sounds like it might be great for those stealth needs. Not a daily driver or session replacement by any means, but still it will have it's place in my collection (at some point).
Anyone have the outside diameter of the mouthpiece? I'm wondering if that would work with my new universal waterpipe silicone adapter........
I'm still going to wait for the first few batches to hit the market before I dive in. I hope they'll continue to tweak the product once the reviews come in, and the product is even better 18 months from now
I like the fact that you can vape reasonably large loads. @BuzzDanklin stated he could load .20 to .25g in the chamber . As far as harshness is concerned, @BuzzDanklin said he could vape a .25g load in 4 hits without water. Why would it not be harsh? Perhaps if he finished a bowl in 8 hits rather than 4 he would find the vapor less harsh? IDK.. Just a thought
I really am liking most of what I'm hearing. However, like others have said, I'm not to keen on the possibility of having to use a silicone tip to avoid too much heat. Maybe if you spaced your hits out a bit it wouldn't get to hot to handle..
Exactly^ Dude I feel like you and me have been on the same page the whole time, seems like we were pretty on the money with our personal expectations of the unit and will undoubtedly both be very pleased in a couple months...
Did you back the IGG or pre order?
Yeah, I think we are on the same page. I think the Hopper will rock performance wise and the stealth factor (which is high on my list) will only make it that much better...
I was a campaign backer early on so I'd like to think that I may receive mine by the end of March. We shall see...
This and the Zion are looking tasty lately!
One thing that I found interesting — in both a good and bad way — is that apparently they're still modifying things. @BuzzDanklin mentioned that they are planning to rework the screen to prevent clogging. This also means that the unit he received is still a pre-production one. (Also, they previously said they sent out the first batch of units, no? So a little confused about that).
