Edit: You can see in the last update that the front end has been re designed. It was one piece originally. Looks to be at least two pieces now...

To me, it looks like the housing for the heater, which would be pushed into the body.
Edit: Or maybe the threads are meant to attach the front end shell to the chamber, and that 4th image shows an already attached chamber?

There are 2744 indiegogo Grasshoppers to be delivered before the thousands of pre-orders will ship. Why o why didn't I contribute?
In the meantime we can get ready by ordering good external battery packs. Here is Been Vapin's choice from the Crafty thread.

With preorder the price is 135$ now. Delivered around April 2015. Still feels like a preorder price but not final.
180$ for titanium and 185$ for a colored one. Wow. That's expensive.
New battery photo and no more charging cable (shit)
temperature range has changed too, between 130°C - 210°C (266°F - 410°F)
Anyway, let's hope April 2015 is for preorder and that backers grasshopper are shipped sooner.

I was actually commenting on the front end part you see in the fourth picture. The one on the prototype is a single piece of machined SS, the new one seems to be made of two separate pieces, something to do with insulation I suspect.

I'm glad the power button clicks so satisfyingly, but I hope it's also good at actually vaporizing herbs. I wish the designers talked more about that.
I've been following this loosely, so forgive me if I have missed the answer to this question, but... The herb chamber is near the mouthpiece end... and on their support page, all they say is that "advanced insulation" keeps the mouthpiece cool.
I am just so curious as to how this is possible... I can't see any form of insulation keeping those high temps away from that SS tip....
Obviously, they must have this figured out this far into production, but I just find it curious is all.

If they dont have any Ti units when it comes to your order number they will allow you to switch...Im not sure if any kind of refund is available though!

I upgraded to titanium but I think I'm going to switch back to the stainless unit and add an oil front end to my order. I need to email and see if they've worked on them that is

This and the battery life will be the most interesting parts of the first reviews, because if it's only half of what they claimed it will be a revolution in the market (but i'm not holding my breath

What if all of you guys who have waited forever, finally get your new GH delivered to your doorstep. You frantically bring it inside and with much anticipation, open the box. Inside is the GH box fully enclosed in bubble wrap. You take off the bubble wrap, open the GH box and therein, you feast your eyes on your beautifully finished Grasshopper vaporizer and in the back of your mind, you're saying, 'Fuck You" to all the haters and doubters. You take the Grasshopper out and you marvel at not only how good it looks but how good it feels. The finish and the heft just exudes quality.
After fondling it and admiring it for about 5 minutes, you remember one of the vids that was posted here about how good the clicker sounded so............you click it, and lo and behold, it sounds just like the vid but then what you notice next causes your eyeballs to pop out of your head. When you clicked the clicker, a ballpoint pen tip came out of the nose of the pen and it's then that you notice a note that was in the box. No words...........just an image of this >>>>
