Here’s an update for you from the ‘Grasshopper Vaporizer’ team:

Hey Everyone,

We’re here with the November 15th update. Things have been progressing smoothly over the last 15 days, and we remain on-schedule for our first units to be completed in December. Our manufactures have been working overtime, and more parts will be arriving soon. We’ve been busy setting up assembly jigs, testing hardware, completing administrative tasks, and working closely with our manufacturers.

Last week, we received word that the improved Clip mold was finished and the first samples had been produced. The manufacturer confirmed the results were good, and sent some photos for us to verify. We’re pleased with the photos, and we’re awaiting their arrival next week with another batch of parts.

You can see that the back of the clip is very round, and a uniform flange extends down from all sides. We are very pleased that they were able to have the mold finished quickly.


We are continuing to extensively test the circuit, software, and heater. Using external development boards that replicate the electronics on the Grasshopper, we are able to mimic operation and closely monitor the system. A large vapor chamber collects the vapor produced from the heater, and allows us to objectively measure the performance. The heater design has proved robust.

We are excited as the final versions of parts roll in, and the first Grasshoppers near completion. More pictures and information coming December 1st.
