I pulled a vivatar series 1 charger out of storage today. I bought it on vacation once when I forgot the charger for a rare camera. Here is more info on it:

It works with the firefly battery. Its certainly not ideal. You have to manually align the pins and I don't think its a particularly high quality charger (probably on par with the FF2 dock), but it does do the job and has a functional meter on it. I may try it out for a while and stash the dock away. Hopefully they make an external charger available sometime in the near future.
As a bonus, it will also charge NiMH batteries from the MFLB, if you roll two deep.
Any other less finicky li-ion universal chargers that people have tried?
Had another nice road trip with the FF2. Still love it, but when I got home, my new crafty was in the house, so that will probably take over for a little bit while I get a feel for it. I still love my FF2 a whole lot but there are a lot of complimentary strengths to the crafty. I wanted something with capsules that didn't require stirring (I have to admit the stirring can be a chore if you like to session and chill) and could manage sessions well. I was between the crafty and the haze. My brain was tugging me towards the haze because of its heater and air path materials and swappable batteries, but ultimately went with S&B since its what I desired more and I think the capsule situation is a little stronger and universal across all of their products. I plan to run the crafty 100% with capsules.
I'll spend some time with both and see how things settle in for my new dual-portable system. The Volcano went into storage for now.
