March 25th blue pre-order, arrived today!!
@JaneMary Heya!
So I DO use a razor blade to get the reclaim from my lid after EVERY bowl, However, I use brand new razor blades, I open a new blade every 2 days, that blade is used for lid reclaim, then the blade gets used for other tasks.
The extremely fine edge/sharpness of a new blade does not scratch the lid surface, if you were to use a blade that has any imperfections it could scratch, also if you slip at all... you will cut the gasket or yourself, so I do not recommend doing it unless you are used to working with fresh razor blades. You could use a silicone dabbing tool to just scrape it up with no chance of scratching/injury... I am hunting for the perfect silicone dab tool for this task currently.
I have been extremely cautious in collecting the reclaim and my lid is 100% scratch free and in perfect condition. The amber goo is awesome, I loaded it on the concentrate pad a few times and also dabbed it on a ceramic nail a few times, the ceramic nail dab of goo hit me like a 18 wheeler, massive face numbing cloud.
p.s. yes my hands have laser sharp razor cuts... lol you WILL get cut working with fresh blades, all they have to do is touch your skin...
Concentrate pads will most likely leak I would think. You would be better off using cotton or hemp fiber IMO. You could also drop the oil on some herbs and this would extend your session greatly.
FYI fresh blades have a coating of oil, typically a machine oil. Its probably cleaner to use the same old "dirty" blade each time and keep cleaning it. A brand new blade should be cleaned with iso.
@Sh4dy15, how viscous is your oil? It doesn't have to be completely solid for it to work, but it should be pretty thick, I think. I don't have a lot of experience vaping "non-solid" oil, but you're supposed to be able to put a couple drops on your concentrate pad. It all ends up melting into the pad anyway. Unless the oil has been mixed with something else to give it a "thin" consistency, I think it should work on the concentrate pad.
It sounds like it would work to me, but I would probably get a second opinion since everything I've ever put on a concentrate pad was mostly solid. I know that a lot of dispensaries sell oil in syringes, and I've seen people use those on videos for other vapes with concentrate pads. I don't recall seeing anybody using this stuff with the FF2, but a lot of times vape reviewers don't show you what they put in their pad.Once I am home I can take a picture and see what you guys think...It might be better on top of some flower but the pad might hold it just enough. it is thick, takes a few seconds to move from one side of tube to the other if I turn it upside down but its not in a solid/sticky form.

I recall Firefly saying somewhere that if you get concentrate inside/under the plate, you can get rid of it by heating and blowing through the mouthpiece (rather than sucking/drawing.)It's thick now. When it heats, it'll get thinner, and if it leaks out the bottom of the pad, and drips into the tiny holes on the plate, you could have problems. Caveat vaper.
I'm pretty sure Vapeworld's pre-orders won't be fulfilled until after Firefly has fulfilled all of their pre-orders. I think June is the expected timeframe.Has anyone who ordered from vapeworld received their firefly 2 yet or gotten a shipping notice? I ordered mine on April 27th and I'm becoming fairly impatient, but I know it's worth the wait, and hopefully I made it into the second wave.
You got me very worried so I contacted Vapeworld customer service. I was told that Vapeworld has already sent out some units and will be sending more out over the course of this week. Unfortunately she said that, due to my late pre-order date, I would most likely be receiving a shipping notice in 2-3 weeks, which puts me into June anywayI'm pretty sure Vapeworld's pre-orders won't be fulfilled until after Firefly has fulfilled all of their pre-orders. You're definitely going to want to keep your Herbalizer.Placing my pre order today! Going to go with a red one!! This thing is spendy! Most likely going to sell my herbalizer if this thing is powerful enough let me know if anyone wants an Herbie! Perfect shape! Waiting game now, couldn't be more exited, this thing should fit my exact needs!
You're definitely going to want to keep your Herbalizer.
All I'm saying is wait until you've tried your FF2 to decide which you want to keep if money is tight. My bet is on ol' Herbie.I do love it, but I'd like to break even on this purchase

Personally no. I have however followed the launch extraordinarily closely and seen that in my opinion not much has been improved. Very very restrictive draw, finicky about how much you pack/how it's ground, all videos shown so far through water have very very low vapor production even when compared to Chinese conduction units, and the price IMO is not justified.I want a portable though, it fits my needs more that's for sure. But the herbalizer is nearly flawless. Have you not had a good experience so far with the firefly2?
I think he's just trying to tell you to wait to sell your herbalizer. The FF2 is not for everybody and I would agree that you should play with it before banking on it. Especially if your herbalizer is "nearly flawless."I want a portable though, it fits my needs more that's for sure. But the herbalizer is nearly flawless. If you've got an extremely low tolerance you will probably be perfectly happy with the FF2. I'm guessing you don't though or you probably wouldn't have an Herbalizer.
Just my opinion and my two cents. Others obviously feel much differently about the product.
I did own two of the original Fireflies and sold them within a month.
