They've charged my card, but my 'order status' on my account page says 'Processing', since my order on the evening of Feb 29. I emailed them a week or so ago, and asked about that, and have heard nothing back.

Mine says "Processing" as well. I'm sure there is nothing to be concerned about. Just means that the order is in a processing stage until they ship it.

I was able to order a ff2 battery for my ff1 and was able to select usps to have it mailed, it seems ff has come to their senses and are willing to mail things out again. They would have never regained my business otherwise, the last time I wanted a $30 battery they wanted $37 just to ship it.

Hopefully this is indeed the same as the improved battery for the ff1, it says it's compatible and there is no way to order a ff1 battery. I'll be super pissed if I get one of the older ones!

If it's really an FF2 battery then there is no way it's an old one. The new "tabbed" ones are all 770's.

The new battery is much improved even over the older 770s. I get About 2.5 bowls off the new tabbed battery compared to 1-1.5 usually on my old 770/750s this is on the FF too so if the FF2 is more efficient it should be awesome

My FF1s were not really reliable, but the customer service was good and I feel like they took enough of a beating fixing/exchanging multiple units for multiple users that they'll probably be eager not to make those mistakes again. If I were FF I'd be looking to make this generation hold up a whole lot better.

I own 2 ff1's they are are my go to daily drivers but Im reluctant to pre order a ff2.with the new batteries being compatible with the ff1,there is no reason to spend the money on it just yet.. I like the weight and styling of the ff1 and vapor quality is top notch if used properly..the ff2 looks like an amazing vape and ill eventually pull the trigger on one but it just doesn't offer better vapor it just appears to be more dummy proof for rookies..lol

Just got my ff1 in December and I use it along with the crafty and the air with no problems, so no reason for me to buy the new one.

Hi all,
thanks for all the great info in the forum, been reading for 50+ pages lol. I'm interested in the FF2 but as a first-time buyer want to be careful about $320 on, well, "vaporware" (software people will get that). If i drop that money, will it actually come soon, or is it like some products/kickstarters that never arrive?

The thing is that credit card companies allow disputes til 90 days. so if you have issues after that, you're SOL. so i'm not sure what to do here... just drop $ and hope for the best? or wait til they have in them in stock normally, then buy? thanks!

Looking at screenshots of the APP, there are 5 preset temperatures: low, medium-low, medium, medium-high, and high. Do I understand that once those 5 temps are setup inside the APP, you can then select any of those 5 temps on the device itself? And how do you switch to another temperature on the FF2?

The preset temps have to be set on the app , you can only engage/disengage the heat on the firefly itself

You don't get to pick temps for the presets, they are already preset, you pick one of the already preset temps in app then that's what the firefly does until you pick a different one in app.

So you only get one temperature selection on the device itself? I guess I now see why some might balk at that limitation.

That's the way I understand it, although you should be able to use draw speed to control temp a little, just like ff1 faster draw I imagine should cool it and letting off button also will have that effect.

A bit inconvenient. I'm not an engineer, but to not have the ability to at least have two temps available on the device itself is a bit of a head scratcher to me.

I suspect the FF3 will resolve that after there are many complaints. Even the Crafty gives you 2 choices on its device.

Me either, but I would guess it could be a space saving thing, if all controls are app based then everything inside the ff2 can stay simple and small (simple can also mean less user issues/warranty returns)

Personally it's a non-issue for me as my most used vapes don't have temp control at all, and the ones that do just get set to max anyway.

From what I've read when I (eventually) get a ff2 I can set the temp high get a couple tasty low temp hits while the load heats and finish it up high where I like it.

Every vape I have ever owned (with the exception of the MFLB) has had at least two temps to choose from on the device itself.

I'm going to give the FF2 a shot, but having only 1 temperature on the device itself is not a selling point for this device. It will be a deal breaker for many, and a frustration for many after the point of sale.

The only thing the preset temps will do is cut off the heat at the selected temp if you were to hold down the heat buttons..just like the ff1 did at 400. Basically making it dummy proof so you don't burn your herb

Everybody's different. I never use just one temp per session.

Trust me, Firefly will eventually change this limitation.

I could actually see them upgrading the software for this model and implementing some sort of "boost" mode. Like press 1 button for your usual temperature, and then both buttons to boost it to the next level.

I'm not disagreeing that they will eventually introduce temp control on the device, that's certainly a possibility. I was just saying it's not that important for my particular usage patterns. I totally understand why that would be an important feature for a lot of people.
