April comes before May so I'm thinking this first batch should come out in April if not earlier. I still believe that they do have some units and that those who have been following their promotion closely will be lucky. They've been firmly saying March 1 for awhile now and to have the countdown photos on Instagram everyday, including today saying 1 day left, while starting sales early... I think these first sales will be shipped earlier than everyone thinks.

Does anybody know if you can cycle through the presets temperature without the app (when you want to temp step your bowl)? Is there a button on the Firefly to cycle through the preset temperature levels?

EDIT: The user manual is available on the website. There's no cycle button on the device. The app allow you to set on your device your preferred preset temperature.

Hello!

I also purchased a Blue FireFly 2, this afternoon!

And as I too am curious as to wether or not some orders may ship soon,
I checkd my order status and it says,
Order Status = " Payment Review "

Anyone else have an Order Status that says "Payment Review"?
I am worried. Is this normal for a Pre-Order or may something be wrong with my Payment Card?

dont quote me but I believe I read that the button(s)? are programmable, so if you want to set one to cycle you can or have it go to a preset temp on # of presses

Payment review sounds like you may have used paypal?? they sometimes take a bit to process and come back to the company saying transaction is complete.
Or if its a CC some banks don't recognize NWT holdings and will place a hold on the transaction since its a higher amount transaction and you may have to call and tell them its not a unauthorized charge.

The charge goes through now. Off topic but...I talked to Firefly a couple of months ago about getting a Firefly to Doug Benson and I think they might've connected on Twitter. You should get them to give you one, too! :)

You can't do whatever you want with the buttons and as far as I know if you want to change temps the only way is to use the app, not with the buttons.

Correct. Temps can only be changed via the app. The buttons reveal heat and battery level (depending on which side you tap) and activate the heater. And as of now, that's all they do. (Though that's two things more than the FF1 button. :p)

I just got the app to play with on my phone and can confirm that it just lets you pick these options for heater activation:
Both button
Left button
Right button
Either button

but its easily updatable via software to have a # of presses to up temps etc

Because I'm obsessed with FF batteries at this point in my life, how's the battery level meter treating you? Is there a decent ratio of "battery" to "hits left"? I guess the thing I want most to avoid is getting home, bringing that sweet sweet firefly to my lips, pressing the button, beginning to inhale, ..and seeing the battery light go red. Never again please.

I used a different CCard and Status shows " Proccessing " Now!

Reggie Watts -
I spoke with a CSR Rep at FireFly.com yesterday and she said Card will Not be charged until Unit Ships.
My funds are still in Bank, so as of yet they have not taken any Funds out of my Account, but you need to have Full Cost amount in your Bank now for Card to Authorize and order to Complete.
Otherwise it says " Card Declined " as it did when I used my first card.

I'm showing a 'temp auth' on my card for the full amount. I'll know by tomorrow if it ends up being an actual charge or not.

Can't wait to start reading your reviews and watching videos from members, If I didn't have my Ti GH past weekend I would have pre-order a FF2 for sure!

I'm about to skip town for an extended period, and it looks like the FF2 is on track to ship about the time i get home. This seems good to me.

Glad yours processed Buddy, my funds were taken right away and order went to "processing".

So now I suppose I should start a poll which of my pre-orders will arrive first. Ti GH or the FF2 haha

The cynic in me thinks HL realized this was coming out today and was like we better get some GH out the door so people don't give up hope and cancel the preorder and get one of these instead. Granted they are different but at the same time they are pretty similar in what they are promising.

We are in March now when HL is supposed to deliver several thousand units so will be interesting month. If they come through I can always cancel the other insect order!

Battery life is roughly doubled from the 770 FF1 batteries. As for the "meter", it's a light that flashes from five times for fully charged, to once for nearly dead. It seems pretty accurate....I have about half life left when I get two or three flashes. But the prototype I'm using has a bug related specifically to the battery level indicator, so I don't get consistent results. When it works correctly it seems pretty accurate, or as accurate as light flashes can be in this context.
