I go where the thrills are
It says the buttons been replaced by touch sensors, how has that worked out for anyone, 2 maybe lol, that has one? Has caused any accidental heatings? And will it work with gloves on?
It doesn't work with gloves...they require human heat. Through the app, you can configure the heat activation to be triggered by one or both buttons. If you set it to "both" you'll never activate it accidentally...at least that's been my experience. (You may make the LED flash some info for a second, but not turn on the heat.)
Yea, it sounds like they reworked the whole deal. I wasn't trying to be inflamatory, just saying it's possible the batteries themselves are better even at the same mAh. The batteries were mentioned by the two spokespeople in the video and it was something people were asking questions about on here. I'm pumped for this thing.
Yeah I didn't think you were being inflammatory (because, of course, Fuck Combustion, right? ). It's just worth noting that improvements in the batteries (which are being made in a different facility than the awful first-gen FF1 batteries) are only part of the story....the way the FF2 operates has been overhauled completely, and this is a large part of what gives the device much much better battery life than FF1, even with the second-gen FF1 770 batteries.
