Considering that they have the Apple mentally I'd assume that it's going to be on the high side price wise.
Yes, there are six counting "Concentrates" (Low, Med-Low, Med, Med-High, High). I'm not sure what the temp ranges are for each....they were being tweaked up till the last minute. (I assume 500 is concentrates. )
I think 299$ is too much.
$250+ I will wait for a sale or just wont buy at all, $249-$200 I will debate for a while before buying, $199-0 I will buy the day they go on sale.
So question about the mouthpiece screen, I never had a Scooby snack issue in the FF1, with a more open channel maybe it's more of an issue here? Though grind obviously is a big factor (old FF actually had most just stick to the channels in the lid I suppose lol), was wondering how it does if you remove the screen completey? Otherwise how often and how tedious is it to clean? It does looks nice and robust which i like, and not a fine mesh that would clog easily, but does it affect performance when dirtier?
Also wonder if whatever specs are caught there stay green, and just get coated with oils? Could probably just revape em too
I have no info whatsoever on price point, but my personal feeling is that anyone who thinks it'll be cheaper than FF1's 269 is kidding themselves.
Mitch did you mention in one of your posts that FF2 was 45W heater?
The original FF has 50w heater I believe, did anyone else find out what FF2 is running? I thought I found 45W somewhere but not sure.
If using same 770 battery hopefully they have better supplier and newer tech is much more efficient with batteries.
My guess on price would be $299 seeing as how you get extra battery and going to assume cost of design and engineering new one wasn't as much as original FF required to get to market.
Hopefully its not much more than that with so many other vapes coming to market soon.
@mitchgo61 : sorry if you said it already, but may I ask what material is the new mouthpiece made off? If it's not metal, does it have a taste when you lick it? (don't look at me this way, I lick my mouthpiece if I want to! )
The original FF for me personally, was also no good for this. By the time I was taking it out, I really was only ever able to get a bowl or two per charge. It was a nice home portable but I didn't few it as truly portable with the battery dying so quick.
I sold it with the 770, and got a good deal for it, but I do miss it and wish I would have kept it cleaner. It was a right proper pain to clean when I sold it, and still wasn't 100%. I did let it gunk up though.
But this thing, looks pretty sick. If I can take a step outside, take 2 strong hits in under a minute, and then get back in to wherever I'm at, that will be awesome Keeping a close eye on this.
I will watch from the side lines. Battery power needs to be at least 4X to be worth those prices.
FF 1 battery life was horrible, amazing they put that to market.
Is that seal made of silicone? You mean with the lid? This gives you a good idea of how simplified the lid is....again, not the final version but close apparently. You can see how it's really just one smooth surface inside of the seal. Another major improvement. So much easier to clean. (Bonus points if you can guess the strain. )
Is that seal made of silicone?
That's an ad hominem. The fact remains, the math is there to prove this(50% deflation of information technology), that's why you can get your genome sequenced for almost 1000$ 10 years ago it was 250,000$. That's why the FF2 should be cheaper for the consumer (because it is cheaper for the manufacturer) but because of the huge mark up the consumer is paying much more for the device than what its worth.I wouldn't dare citing that good old delusional Kurzweil, but that's another debate that does not belong here!
Anyone know where manufacturing/assembly takes place? Also, Canadians should prepare themselves for a $400 price tag

Hmmmmm. In my humble estimation, your seemingly adroit juxtaposition of the monetary contraction of genome sequencing with the anticipated corresponding drop in price of
Firefly 2.0 is rife with fundamental flaws, i.e., the Firefly company has neither had the time, nor the selling/distribution quantity of units and accessories, to recoup the extravagant R & D expenditures they undoubtably have made. Duration and scale, methinks.
