Yee currently pretty smoked taking the occosional draw to keep things going during the hockey game!Hey Mike that's great! Did you take the mouth piece off and clean it? That really helps and also look into screen removal completey to really improve draw restriction. Glad it's working better for you bud!
Something strange just happened... I picked my FF2 up and decided to take a toke...i pushed the two buttons to activate and nothing would happen....no green light..as if it had a dead battery...i switched batteries out and ..it worked fine...Hmmmm...i put back the original battery and it works fine.....Why was the green light not activating??? Is it bad to leave the FF2 on the charger all day when not in use???
Thought I read that you should keep it on the charger when not in use... Hmmmm Wait...i t had been off the charger about 4 hours.... i will start depleting my charges before recharging.....Don't leave it charging once it's fully charged.
That's probably not the issue with your dead battery though. I've had some quirky battery behavior, including what you described. Not sure what causes it, but it's usually been on a partially-charged or partially-depleted battery.
thanks!Best lithium battery practices
1) allow battery to fully discharge before recharging
2) when battery is fully charged remove FF2 from charger --- do not store on charger
3) a slower recharge rate may also extend the life of the battery --- I don't worry about this one
This is about all you need to know and you should be good to go.
You are probably experiencing a dead battery. The FF2 continues to draw from the battery in stand-by mode. I don't know how much or if it's constant or anything like that, but it will continue to use battery life. I think it's why they say to keep it on the cradle in the FF2 manual. They say the opposite in the FAQ section of their website, which is the generally accepted way to use lithium-ion batteries. My strange deal with battery because I don't vape everyday and the no no of leaving FF2 on the cradle is similar in that it won't show it's alive at all when I go to use it. I try to wake it up to no avail. No matter how I touch the buttons nothing seems to work. I know the battery isn't dead. So what I did was just take the battery out and put it back in and the FF2 comes back to life and works fine. Kinda like when electronic stuff acts stupid you unplug and replug.
It's hardly an issue at this point. If anything, I would call it a mild quirk. Keep the lid on those worms. So the big bad bug of FF2 is battery related. Each vape has its issues!
Not to be argumentative but if you search for 'best practice for charging lithium ion batteries' I believe you will find that you item #1 is exactly the wrong thing to do. Li batteries do NOT have the charge level memory issues of other batteries and, given that their life time is measured in cycles (that being FULL cycles from empty to fully charged) you actually get better battery life by only partially depleting and then recharging more frequently.Best lithium battery practices

Hey Green,
I tend to disagree with you. If you take a straw and put a screen on it and drink through it you would get a drink but it will be less of a drink then not having a screen over the straw. Same concept. You're sucking in less air through the mouthpiece when a screen is on vs off. Maybe I'll revisit screen issue and put it back on to test but I believe most people have same reaction I did when taking screen out of mouth piece

Item's 2 & 3 are certainly valid and applicable to Li ion batteries but you may want to do a little bit more investigation into #1 to satisfy yourself on this.
Cheers
I have had this issue as well. I kind of lumped it under the "battery-quirk umbrella" without naming every weird thing that has occurred with my batteries. Here's a problem no one has reported, though Firefly has confirmed it. This has happened to me three times, always after a session. I would touch both buttons, the green led would light, and then go off. At first I thought one finger slipped off the button or it was just blinking. But I couldn't get the led to light. Once I waited overnight and still the same problem. The work-around, as confirmed by Firefly, is to pop the battery and then reseat it.
If I had to guess, I would say that it's the color you ordered. They've been staggered and dependent on color since the first pre-orders started going out. I can understand why it would bother you, but it's not new and it's been at least somewhat documented in this very thread.
I think this is just the firmware locking up a bit and needing a cold reboot, in this case by pulling the battery. Just like my Dell LOLHere's a problem no one has reported, though Firefly has confirmed it. This has happened to me three times, always after a session.
