What's the story about air going over the electronics on the Q? I've seen that stated on the forum is this true?

Thanks for posting...I pulled mine out tonight warmed it up and I'm positive I'm smelling some type of smell probably plastic maybe something from the electronics if you stick your nose near it it's pretty easy to smell.
Seeing that the ceramic heater is enclosed in plastic I got to wonder if that's what I smelled?
I agree owned 2 q's if they didn't use mica and all the plastic I would love to invest in it but imo it did off gas and was too flimsy inn design screws stripped (prob my fault) the smell that came from it was faint but there.. I would not own another unless they seperated the electronics from the ceramic core and added a clean maybe L shape air path

If you are concerned like this maybe you should go for a Dynavap or some device without electricity?

A month ago I saw an Extreme Q current model on sale online for $129. Been vaping for more than four years, mostly with portables, currently Crafty and HRFury2. This would be my first So I grabbed it and also got the DDave mods. So many different ways to use all the elements, including combining with my SP Globe water tool. My god what fun.

PS: I spend five or six months a year at my place in northern Newfoundland. I've now bought legal product in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfld. Though its more corporate, I've been much more impressed with the quality of Canadian cannabis products--flower and concentrates--than with the legal product I've gotten in Mass. or from medical suppliers in Maine. Stronger stuff at a better price. I miss the little Canadian THC sprayers, which I like much more than the little plastic syringes I've gotten down here. Only things I don't like about Canadian stuff is the voluminous plastic and tin jars and the lack of local artisan type product.

I just pulled the trigger on an Extreme Q for my first Desktop vape! I got it for $120.95 shipped from @BuddersCannabis. They have a 15% off code that Alex was kind enough to let me share here, it's "BUD15".
Major shout out and props to Alex with BuddersCannabis helping me make the call. I was a little bit on edge about getting it. It should be a lot easier than using my vapcap as a daily driver, and I think the efficiency will help me with micro dosing quite a bit.
Any tips/advice for someone new to this unit? I have been reading about DDave's mod and am considering that next week if I can swing it.

Just got one too, loving it. First desktop vape as well and have had many portables. Figured I really only vape when I'm at home so why not just get a desktop that will make sessions easy.

So I grabbed an EQ for a great price to use with family over the holidays. I thought maybe they would like using the balloons since it takes zero effort (they did but turns out I like them too 
) I also grabbed the OG Ddave adapter which turned out to be a smart move. The Ddave adapter transformed my EQ into something I'd take out when friends come over into one of my daily drivers.
So now I have a question... which Ddave mod to get next?
I've been using a DBV wand with a elbow screen on the end @392F to do some vapor bongs but the vapor produced is pretty thin. Not dense enough for my liking. So I have been looking into grabbing the One Hitter mod.

@SmokingElectricity One hitter mod sounds like something I’ll have to look into. What exactly does the DDave mod do, just increases the quality of the vapor?
Edit: I have a piece similar to yours with only 2 watwr filter chambers. Try a piece with only one water chamber for it to milk up, for me that piece is poor for vapor compared to my Hemper.
When mine comes I’ll either get a whip bubbler tip or keep using my same Hemper rig for sure.

@Nok21 The Ddave adapter decreases the space between the heater and your herb to make your EQ more efficient allowing you to use less herb and extract the most from it quickly. It also eliminates the glass rim on the psyclone bowls to heat the herb evenly. The Ddave adapter honestly has made my EQ about as efficient as my Dynavap.
The bubbler I got through Amazon Prime
1 day shipping. It's ok. I mainly use it with my Dynavap but works well enough with the EQ.

You know, I was going to recommend the one hitter mod to you, but then you mentioned you like balloons. The ultimate mod kits have glass that supports balloons.

Im new here, Lukiita from Germany. I'd like to buy the megadapter from your shop Ddave, but unfortunately I dont have any credit card. Can we find any solution with Paypal or something?
Another question, is the Megadapter as big as the stock chamber or even bigger?
I only vape CBD buds so I prefer huge chambers since the effect is not so strong.

To answer the sizing question first, the MegAdapter capacity is greater than the stock bowl, or any other bowl I offer. Many who are treating pain or nausea have provided feedback that they required only a single session to address their needs... where before they had 2-3 smaller sessions requiring bowl reloadings to reach the needed dosage.
No worries on not having a formal credit card. My site accepts prepaid credit cards as well.
I've been told this is a great option.
