Hi guys, I've got an Extreme Q on the way and I'm wondering what size the GonG elbow joint is so I can pick up an appropriate water tool to mate with it. Arizer's website doesn't appear to list the size.
Do you think the a cold basket would heat to the same temp as a preheated basket, in the time I wait for my herb to heat soak anyway???
I wonder how fast it conducts the heat?
Maybe it really makes no difference as it heats up so quick anyway...
What a Fucking great Ideal! After extensive and 'scientific' testing....
I've decided it doesn't really matter if the basket is hot or cold....
As long as it's preheated it clouds fine, moisture content and grind seem to be much more important. At the moment I'm liking a medium grind at 55%....
Anyway....how do you dry yours???
I don't like the bubbler to dry naturally, takes too long, I worry about bacterial growth....
So I fan it at 200 with the eq to quick dry it...
Anyone else do this and worry about bacteria... or just me...???
NoI mean when I'm done with it, and I empty the water, if I was to leave it there for say 6 hours to dry naturally, would any bacteria grow on the moisture inside???
A little more than say leaving a large water glass to dry naturally. Only because their is more surface area, tight spots, crevices etc. Really weighs on how well you clean it beforehand.I mean when I'm done with it, and I empty the water, if I was to leave it there for say 6 hours to dry naturally, would any bacteria grow on the moisture inside???
Several slow and quick methods. Grinding it in a 4pc and leaving it inside, perhaps open. Grind into a coffee filter and fold the filter so that the materials dry 360. Or set on/near a small fan.Anyway....how do you dry yours???

Not recommending any of this, but say @kellya86, in your scientific ponderings, Did you dry vape it once and watch the vapor come out of the slits? Or run the fans?
Nice piece! No mate you will be just fine. Humans are pretty resilient & anything would be minor at best. Not that I am qualified but I used to run a annual flu campaign with the big banks & used swab testing to put the frighteners on them. Compared to your phone or kepboard there is nothing to worry about but it was always funny comparing bacteria count from a toilet seat to a lift button (lets just say I would be safer eating off a shit house seat than a food court table).
If you have some Boveda 62 packs around that takes the drying out of it as it is always at the correct vaping humidity that way.
Speaking of glass I thought I would share my EQ driver & we went through a lot together. I had other bits of glass on the side & tried on several occasions to replace her but she kept me coming back for more. Unfortunately we had a falling out & I think our relationship is irreparably fractured now. I will always love her.
Oh yeah @ataxian there is a nice gridded stemline with your name all over it in the cheap glass thread. It has what you need & is only $30US.

I don't know either just thought it might be cool to try since you bothered to place it upside down. The visual I pictured is of plooms of vapor being pushed out the slits and falling like a waterfall out the percs.I didn't do this, why??? What happens????
Too true! That's one reason I own a washable keyboard and ISO clean my mouse and phone. I won't bother you with the OCD things I've come up with using a public restroom. Then I use the light switch on the way out.Compared to your phone or kepboard there is nothing to worry about but it was always funny comparing bacteria count from a toilet seat to a lift button (lets just say I would be safer eating off a shit house seat than a food court table).
Thanks for the exploded view and the component break down. There was some discussion on he thread about how the EQ controls it's heat you might find interesting.Hello.
I had my V-Tower disassembled ...
( Had to swap places ,the very annoying blue "Power" LED with the eye-comforting
green "Timer" LED ..." Blue-Light-Annoyance-While-Vaping-At-Dark-Syndrome " )
The internal differences with the Extreme -Q are only few...
I.e. The fan is missing in the V-Tower ...
And some parts (for the fan driving ) on the MCU's pcb ..
The MCU used at the V-tower is the HOLTEK HT46R067.
That and the way V-tower & Extreme Q regulate the temperature ,
makes me 100% sure that both use P.I.D. control .
Also there is an ATMEL 24C02N EEPROM on the pcb ...
Top quality job done and materials used for the electronics and the rest of external and internal parts ..
Only "con" is the air -path ....Air goes through the electronics ...
Other than that ,both the V-tower and Extreme Q are well built vapes .
And they both come at decent prices ...
Love the balloon thing ? Go for the Extreme Q ..
Love the whip only ? Go for the ( cheaper ) V-tower ...
Nice piece!
Can a 18mm MALE be added instead?
JHOOK for mouth-piece? (or giant ash collector)
I use HYDRO-TUBES with my "Q".
I want the piece in your photo.
More glass is arriving today (another HYDRO-TUBE)
If only there was a glass blower that could resurrect your vapehammer. Really examine the perc and size and other things you liked besides the well placed design. I like where it was applied as much as I like the pattern. Your's resembled the FC-201 the most I felt with the larger spaced perc at the base. Perhaps that would carry you over until a proper replacement surfaces?

Depends on the set up, but you can use the stock elbow adapter basket screens.Sorry guys but what size screen would I need if I want to elbow pack?
