Sorry if this has already been posted but I couldn't find it, but why do we need a much higher temperature setting when using the whip? I use 200C for bags but need 230C for the whip....granted I haven't done the DDave mods yet...
Also very interested chart @vis, but do we know the temperature that actually reaches the elbow? If I set my Q at 200C, is that what the temperature of the herb is?
It's either the stock cyclone bowl, or your technique. Using the whip is good for me at any temperature, but I have the modded cyclone bowl.Sorry if this has already been posted but I couldn't find it, but why do we need a much higher temperature setting when using the whip? Are you preheating? Try preheating everything for AT LEAST 10 mins prior to use. I read a post recently where they said 15 minutes pre-heat. I don't know about that though.
I think a lot of it is just technique. I can vape immediately on a stone cold setup by just inhaling super slow to heat up the herb.
Interesting, I'm usually impatient, I'll have to try preheating longer ( I do preheat though). I still find, however, that I can use the whip at temps like 230-250C, whereas if I get much above 210C with a bag it starts to hit wayy to hard and seems very near combustion.
Also, does anyone use the MFLB orbiter inline with your whip? I was just curious how/if this makes a difference. I love hitting the Q out of a bong, would a small inline bubbler apparatus (aka Orbiter) make a big difference?
I havent made the purchase yet. Did you ever find out if this was the correct tubing size? How has your hunt for sillicone tube gone? i was going to get some red and blue hose from thie ebay seller:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/161267752730?var=460349026066
seems cheap and in a few different sizes, am i right in thinking 6mm id will work?
yep, order some additional screens for the DDAVE adapter you bought or invent something. This was perfect! Everything arrived today, but I have one issue.
If I load herb into the bottom of the wand, there's no screen to stop it from falling out directly down into the adapter you linked, onto the heating element, and completely wasted. How do people solve this? Do I need to buy some small spheres, or use the ddave adapter everybody talks about? I'm not sure where to buy that even, every site I saw was down.
Or is the ddave adapter the one I already bought? I think so... so I just need a screen to help keep the herb inside the wand. Are there any particular ones people use? My old EQ screens got tossed when the glass broke

If someone wants to vaporbong with an Extreme Q the way I would recommend is to get a Vortex adapter for the Q.
Just received my eq in the mail yesterday. had a very nice time learning the ropes yesterday. currently packing elbows, may go pick up an 18-18 adapter later. would love to have anybody pm me with some hacks/tips. Thanks everyone!
Or just use your SSV wand setup like this:
Get a shorter 18mm female to 18mm female. Makes a big diff... 345f-ish is where I like mine. Also got a Da Buddha / SSV silicone tube to replace the vinyl. Jet black so I don't see the brownness.Just received my eq in the mail yesterday. had a very nice time learning the ropes yesterday. currently packing elbows, may go pick up an 18-18 adapter later. would love to have anybody pm me with some hacks/tips. I don't think that would be a problem.Did some fan speed #1 assisted whip hits. That was the most flavorful hit I've had in a while.
Is it harmful to plug the whip while the fan is running?

It's annoying to turn it on and off, but almost worth it.
That would be sweet if it had an automatic fan when you inhaled.

Who's got the best price around for a 18mm f/f adapter? I've looked around on ebay and the prices range quite a bit. I found one for $5 USD plus $8.70 shipping but unfortunately they don't ship to Canada.
Any ideas where I can get one of these in Canada for around $15?
Thanks friends!
I think you bought the wrong ones.I actually called 4 head shops local to me and one about 20 mins away said they had the adapter in stock. I went this afternoon and sure enough they didn't have any 18mm f/f, only 14mm.
I ended up biting the bullet and bought a lot of 5 from DHGate.com

Hopefully they're the right ones.. I purchased based on a review that said they were bought to use with an Arizer Extreme Q... we will see.. I'll post a review once I've received them.
