The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

It's teflon sheathing shrink-wrapped to the bowl. And it does wear off with time.

:D

I dont think we are talking about the same thing here,
the silicone looking tubing they put on a TUFFBOWL is surly not Heat shrink tubing. Im not talking about the black part, Im talking about the translucent tubing.

I know what you're ref'g to. I've seen the material described elsewhere as teflon, which would have the desired heat-resistant and impact-resistant properties.

However, the term "shrink-wrap" is certainly a misnomer, I don't know what I was thinking. I am pretty sure that it is applied with a heat process however. Where I once worked long ago we used a heat process to apply such a sheathing material.

There are also often local glass blowers that can do a good deal for you, if they do this kind of work. And there are websites where you can get used pieces reasonably.

Be sure to check out this section of the forum for independent blowers.

And keep your eye on this, too

Most glass companies just copy each other?
I love the piece you have made.
Looks like I will have the local glass blower make me some parts.

When I try to buy from the glass blowers on this site they say they don't sell direct to the public?
Especially the ones you posted?
The glassblower I went to is in Atlanta Ga. and called Glass Objects he does do online orders and shipping
but the pieces I had made seemed fairly simple it only took him 20 min while i stood there. I believe you could get any decent glass blower to make them. Those are only prototypes anyway I should be picking up my new pieces today something a little more appealing to the eye but practically the same.

I used to have a tuff bowl a while back. (keep in mind Im not referring to CYCLONE/stock bowl)
The tube is pretty thick to wear off since mine will be 2 yrs old soon and my buddy is still using it.
I just want to know what size and spec that material is. If its heated/shrink-ed in to place why is it so pliable and easy to remove and put back on?

Here is a pic of what im talking about:

I've posted this a few times already, but it bears repeating: whatever that stuff is (I thought it was silicone) the covering on the Tuff Bowl eventually gets stiff from the heat and starts to crack. Pieces will fall off. Also, the only Cyclone bowl I ever broke from dropping it was a Tuff Bowl.

My q is arriving today. Fucking excited.

I assume if you had a 18mm male to male adapter you can run the Q through a Hydra-Tube. I can't wait to play with this thing!

Tonight it's on like donkey kong!

Maybe I'll just run a whip to this!

I also broke a tuff bowl and two cyclones. The plastic didn't seem to help the situation or maybe it did, it kept glass from going everywhere it caught most of it. The plastic took away from my visual of the weed storm so that was a minus.
Mvapes, I think its awesome you're getting yours but I thought you already had one? Either way nothing like a new toy!!! (Especially when its a Vape)

I did bro - I had the very first Extreme. I ended up trading or selling it due to VAS!

In light of some recent changes in thoughts for future vapes I asked my wife which vape she liked the most that we could use as our heavy hitter along with my two Hi's. She was like, get the fucking Q again - that thing kicked ass and I guess she was pissed when I sold it!

So there you go, I am now adding a new model q to my daily rotation.

:smug:

after being a vaporyst for 5 years plus I've seen them come and go. Some I am glad to have them gone but in the Q's case - it shouldn't have left!

She's home now homies, time to play!

Awesome let the games begin, brother nice glass too! Hey I noticed your experience with vaporizers is a little vast to say the least.
After seeing you come back to the Q I was wondering why you ditched a few of the others? Namely the LSV which I was planning on getting one day why'd you ditch that one as well as plans on getting the Ascent? If you do'nt mind my asking

Dude PM and I'll give you the scoop, don't want to derail. Has anyone tried a HYdra Tube on the Q? I already ordered a male to but I would love to see some glass on glass Q porn!

Stu and mvapes, I've tried both an HT and ELB with the Q. I've got posts way back with pics, but don't bother you guys already know the ways how you'd do both, and neither worked well. A few days ago though there was discussion doing this with an adapter converted to a bowl; this was/is the only way I see working (plus possibly substituting an ELB) but until this week I couldn't find a female/female adapter that properly fit down inside on the Q joint. I've bought one of those and will try the same experiments again. I don't expect to get Cloud performance, but it might make for a very cool Q mod.

Next week I'm on the table :myday: with my new cutter friend :science:, I'll have plenty of recovery time to dabble. I'll post back what I find.

Good luck on the table, OBG. And a speedy recovery to you!

:peace:

Thanks, Stu. Now, if only they allowed my vape in the OR . . . oh wait, I coudn't be sure it was reserved just for my use, and then where might I end up? I've heard of tools being left inside before. On the other hand, has anyone given any thought to an internal vaping device?

I like my vapes however I suffer from VAS as well.

The Q was the first vape on my list however 2 years latter I still don't own one.

However they are so cheap and I like the ideal of the fan blowing the vapor.

I agree with you they are cheap and well worth the cheap investment. They are fairly lightweight yet a solid unit and the multi-purpose use makes them all around great toys!!
