I often vape at 260 and all seems o.k....although I have only been vaping for a couple of weeks.
This is my routine and I would love to know if this is the correct way to vape or wether it's all wrong, because as said above I've only been at this a couple of weeks...and have yet to experience a truly satisfying vape.
1) I switch the unit on and set to 240 and allow to warm for 15-20 mins or so.
2) While the unit warms I'm grinding my herb...which by the way is generally mediocre, not total rubbish but not grade A either, I used to grow my own a few years back and tbh most dealers weed here in the U.K cant compare when you have grown your own.
3) So after the warm up period and grind, I pack the elbow bowl and connect the bag and place the elbow into the cyclone bowl and turn the temp down to 210-220 and allow the herb to percolate I think is the term...(warm through for a couple of minutes).
4) I then switch the fan on at number 1 and have the temp at 210-220 and allow the bag to partially fill at this temp, then I increase the temp up in 10's (210, 220, 230 etc) allowing a few moments at each temp all the way up to 260.
5) Then after the first bag is filled I remove the bag (obviously) and remove the elbow but I keep the unit on. After I have used the first bag I re-grind the initial herb and re-load back into the elbow and go through the process again.
How would this compare to the routine you guy's use ?
The reason I'm asking is...as I read my way through this thread from start to finish I have read of guy's getting huge plooms of vapour and getting numerous bags from 1 packed elbow joint ?
As I said above I'm yet to get a really satisfying vape, I'm only getting 1 semi decent bag and another bag of fairly light vapour from an elbow bowl pack...is it just that I'm new to vaping and still expecting the same vapour/smoke as I would get from combusting...is it my vaping routine highlighted above or is it the quality of the bud that is letting me down ?
