Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
@herbmeister thanks for all the Kava Kava links. Will research the topic all over again before purchasing more next time.
I've been into Kava Kava for 10 years. And doing it wrong most of the time. Usually with some sort of micronized kava. Oh, If I drink too much Kava, I do O.D. with the dry scaly feeling. For whatever reason, orange juice seem to upset my stomach more, after drinking the kava. Kept trying that one out for some reason. Really cold milk has helped me. And I would not bother with any Kava that comes in Pill form.
What has worked well for me. Sometimes I would chew gum ahead of time to build up stomach acids before drinking some grog. Chewing gum after drinking some grog seems to help re-activate the Kava effects with me or at least help with the earthiness anyway. Have also tried it with things like milk and other things to make it easier to drink down. Even acquired coconut shells for some ceremonial function.
Lately, I have been using a retired french press to deal with the straining of the kava beverage from the root.
With more links, I will re-educate myself again and perhaps talk to the gentleman who runs the Kava Bar in my town.
