Just got myself some dried blue lotus , theyook beautiful and ltaste delightful .Loading 0.5 at once in a big bowl vaporizer induces quite the euphoric state i must say, a slight boost of colors, the shapes seem less sharp and everything is nice and comfortable. To be honest i didnt expect such strong effects. :)

You can also try steeping the lotus in alcohol, if that appeals. There have been a few studies that looked into the conversion of actives when steeped. From what I've seen the ancient Egyptian use of Blue lotus was predominantly steeped in wine and drunk.

My favorite alternative vape-able is def damiana at the moment. I've vaped all types of plants and this one has become a regular staple. Great terp profile, fairly resinous so it vapes quite well. Its extremely affordable and really compliments cannabis both in flavour and effect.
I find the effects to be surprisingly similar. Its relaxing and stimulating just more basic, minus the psychedelic headiness if you will. I find its a good light daytime alternative and often prefer it, which says a lot.

Thanks for the Celastrus paniculatus tip Ill give that a try, Im always on the lookout for good natural nootropics too.

@Teedub I recommed finding white sage (Salvia Apeana) . It is my top recommendation if you havent tried it already. Good luck with the celastrus,it is a great booster. It is almost unthinkable that there is so much power in just a few seeds. I have ingested orally steam distilled blue lotus essential oil. The experience is really great ,euphotric with a little boost on the visual side, but huge downside is that your breath smells like you have drinked aftershave for more than a day,lol.. A great mix for taste and effects is Sceletium resin over some White sage leafs.

How does it compare to salvia divinorum (the "common" salvia)? It is one of the psychedelics I always stayed away from as from what I've read it can be a lot harsher than shrooms or acid.

Good call my fellow wizarde, I often smudge with white sage but never tried vaping it for some reason lol.

Soursop shares alkaloids with opium... the leaves are a fun vape. More than a nervine. Tea is still better, though.

edit; shares alkaloids with blue lotus too

Traded my x20 salvia extract for some gas. Salvia extracts really drive home that plant extracts are man-made things with worse drawbacks than what unadulterated nature offers, a lesson that can also be applied in a lesser degree to hash and olive oil. Has anybody used dry leaf salvia divinorum in their vape, not an extract? I'd love to know what its like...

Never had 20x Salvia, but I first had 10x a couple times, them I went to 70x for a couple trips.

I haven't had it in years, but it was an interesting drug. One thing I found intriguing is that it was the only hallucinogenic drug I've tried that, during the trips, I had no recollection that I had taken the drug, and the hallucination I was experiencing was just reality for me at the time. I enjoyed that part of the experience quite a bit.
