Come on Monday!

No need for a glass screen unless you do nugs or big huge grind. Normal grind will fall through no matter what if you do not use a screen. So.....don't use a glass screen in bowl design and allow much more air flow with less cleaning. I have found this to be the problem with the different glass screen designs. I always have to put a screen in them if I do a normal medium or finer grind.

Though you get 100% glass taste......I have not yet been convinced that a glass screen of any sort will be better than just an open bottom bowl with a SS screen in it.

Gonna try to put in some “Black Kush” hash around thursday/wednesday. Its by far the strongest product I can get in the region(45% thc & 16% cbd, most weed I buy is tested at 18-20%) and im curious how the elev8r will handle it. My solo 2 does fine with hash. I only use it with WPA so its upside down, first at 220 celcius then a stir then again at 220. Screen gets clogged tho.

I only use my arizers upside down as well....they do straight kief and hash well. I use a screen in the wpa's for everything and never have an issue. The non-flower additives will cause some sticky residues...but well worth the small but easy clean afterwards.

Your elev8r is going to rock that high powered goodness well! That will be some session for sure.....let us know how it went after you get back to the planet.....:argh:

Got my elev8r the other day and after a few nightly sessions I said to myself wow, why didn't I get this sooner! :whoa:
I do get huge hits equivalent to the FP when I heat all the inner cone crevices for 40-45s, using a Liba culinary torch. But the elev8r has a major advantage in that it's the least messy vape I've ever used.

With most vapes you have to stir an open bowl, risking some material spilling over. With the elev8tr your bowl remains covered so you can pull off some quick shake and rips and not have any crumbs on the table when you're done! Like Martinis, shaken not stirred is the way to go :lol:
This vape is perfect for beakers or such waper pipes with a 45d angled joint.

That would be an excellent question to be settled by a blind taste test. My guess here: about 5% of the population could detect a difference in a blind taste test.
My guess is there are some minor, chemical differences involving reactions catalyzed on the SS screen, but it will be a while before we really understand what(if any) difference that makes.

wow...cool beans then......I was prepared to pay $50 for quartz if I had to....I need an Elev8r that will last me long into the future...as it is used daily. I LOVE THIS Vape...BEST IN THE WORLD!

Right. But I already have a full kit. It’s just the WP attachment I have takes a screen. Can I order just the quartz heater and a WP attachment that has the glass screen instead?

I’m not sure if I want to get the all glass kit or the standard quartz kit to be honest. I’d like to take advantage of the savings but I also like to hear feedback about the function first. I have had poor experiences with glass screens (from other manufacturers) where I still found too much herb finding its way into my mouth, which defeats the purpose for my personal experience.

@7thFloorVapes what grind consistency would you say the all glass version can provide the ideal experience? I know that ideal is very subjective but if I were to clarify what my ideal experience is I would say that My experience is best when I am able to draw nice and deep without having material pass through into my mouth. What sort of grind consistency would allow for that sort of experience in your estimation?

Having the heat so close to your face is one reason why I use drop downs. The added plus of keeping the water unit cleaner longer is one of the biggest plus's otherwise. It may also make your water unit work better.

This is a great idea, so I ordered one the day after you posted. I usually use water in my Mothership Fab Egg CCG DHgate special for a little chug (helps pull a little slower to build the vapor). Got it in under 2 weeks, but I noticed it was broken just after I unwrapped it from all the bubble wrap. :ugh: So I told them and picked the option to have another one sent. Then a few days later, I got an email saying I would be refunded. I guess I need to make another order...grrr

The quartz heater deal looks great! LabPong, you must have been refreshing like crazy. I saw it on their site just after you guys said it wasn't available yet and was going to post a message here. At that same time, the 7th Floor guys posted. Great customer service! I am also interested in their response to the glass bowl/screen questions.
