My coil temps ate typically 670-745, depending on bowl choice, load size, strain, point in the load (always temp stepping to extract fully, as vapor drops off each time).I understand, I got exactly the same issue when I switched from the Herborizer 14mm bowl to the 18mm which doesn't restrict at all and lead to a less dark abv using the same settings.
For now I only get the cyclone bowl or another glass bowl which is pretty similar in regard to the distance from the heater but narrower.
Try to find something to get my 20mm coil to fit the Elev8er cause i don't want to torn my only one 16mm coil, but i'm afraid it will need a very high temp to work... I don't find the Elev89 to be economical in regard to the energy used to get a good heat/hit.
Tried it on my stove for heating but didn't got better clouds although my flowers are very moist and impossible to grind, I use scissors (I forgotten to close the jars while it was a rainy day and all is moist now!).
Any links for a third part bowl please?
thanks for all the reply, i will not give up but i can say it will not fit my usage habits...
With the smaller bowl @LabPong is recommending above, 670 will give great tasting full milky hits.
The stock bowl I usually start at about 700. But I really dont see how you are going to get a 20 mm coil to be a good fit. 16 mm is almost right, just needs to be a little looser but not much. The tighter and neater it fits and contacts the glass, and more evenly too, the bettet it will hit.
My coil is now hitting much better since I switched to a nubless heater. The coil now rests on the sick clip, it is lower down where the glass heater is wider at the bottom. Hence better contact and it hits a lot better now.
I know @Buds of War is using a coil with the cyclone bowl. I think his preferred temp was just below 700? 680 maybe?
Anyway @PPN good luck rigging something more effective and enjoyable up. For sure there are easier daily drivers. The Elev8r with coil is really for the committed vaporist indeed!
