:rofl:Duff's an exhibitionist that way!

@Alexis have you tried a simple bernzomatic propane torch w/ a small propane tank? Simple easy valve dial, and click start. Most cost effective way of using a torch vape IME. Just not super portable.
I will check them out but unlikely to spend on another torch at present, especially when they might all be taking a backward sear soon hopefully. I dont mind a little butane bill. The Big Shot is not hurting me too bad financially to be honest. I was using it today on minimal flame and I swear it is pretty close to the Big Buddy on low.

And, the plan all along is to use a decent desktop mostly and supplement with Elev8r in a fun, fexible way. But now that desktop might end up being the Elev8r (well, Im still getting Herbo whatever, but would be a cool option alongside).

Anyway bro seeing as we're here, I have had some thoughts on the enail etc (will be random as hell from my dreamy subconscious).
I saw your posts on VLF. First- isn't Sneaky Pete such a cool guy! He will help you out in any way he can. My heater does have a nub. And I also have that spare Elev8r boxed up, unopened still. I imagine it has a nub, was sent shortly after the contest.

But this is all about the LONG GAME! If using an enail is truly going to prove to be as good as we hope, it will take Elev8r to a new height. I would be stunned if @7thFloorVapes don't recognize this and see of they can assist the process.
I mean, they so willingly instigated the quartzworks, without any hassle just a few requests.
And glass screens too! After just a whisper from the crowd, when in their own words they don't see the real need but a "what the hell, someone asked so we'll do it anyway" attitude.

If no nub proves to be the problem, I would imagine they can offer nubbed heaters.
And bottom line- we want quartz for the enail. Like I say bruv, long game! It's all good having a draw full of antique nubbed glass heaters, but an enail compatible quartz heater is surely what is due?

I have no anxiety at all, day to day using this vape from a breakage point. But I would start getting anxious with a coil roind it. One downsdie to me- I vape in my room and don't have it setup with a fixed surface for bubbers. I usually hold the UFO and 186 while I hit it.
No problem with Elev8r, vapcap, Herborizer(s), even FP.

The bubbler might have to be stationary for this application until modded further. Especially though with the horizontal Newvape 16 mm coil. The Auber one may be better, once @VCBud ingeniously figures out the next steps. I'm sure he will fair play.

So I need to watch and see how this all shapes out. If 7th Floor are their usual genius, inspired and accomodating selves, we may have a winning formula before long that really shakes up the vape world in a good way.

@LabPong big thanks bro for the bowl advice, ordered 2 cheers. i will also really appreciate being able to load 2 bowls (or 3) with diff strains and switch, but more so to be able to have a fresh load ready without having to fiddle with a finished bowl to reload.
Just need to source some screens now.

Good times guys, let's make it happen now come on!

Great post, I've used my ELEV8R a little so far but using torches is new to me so I'm not getting as awesome results as you guys, I'm sure I just need some more practice.

I would LOVE a properly tested and designed electric heater for this thing, I'm super into it
@7thFloorVapes lets go!

Let me know if the bowls your ordered work out, I'll order a few if so!

Alright folks, I don't have any enail experience and am a little confused. Is there a clear winner with regard to enail controllers generally speaking? It sounds like a 16 mm coil can be utilized but as far as the controllers themselves go I'm nor sure what the best option is in terms of bang for the buck and best function.

Too early to say right now bro. Only one tester so far, another any day now. We just have to wait and see what feedback comes.

Sup folks?

I spoke with CS @7thFloor yesterday. Jason was great. We chatted for abit about my heaters and technique he seems to think that perhaps the deformed glass is something that resulted in manufacture and that I didn't notice until after a Few days of usage. This is entirely possible. I can't see for shit. Lol. But I still have concern. I think maybe operator error may have led to some leaning in my heater.

Either way. Performance has not been affected. This thing stills hits like a champ.

I also asked about the nubs on the heaters. As some have them and some don't. He seemed to think that it boiled down to which glass blower was working on a particular heater. More of a personal blow style than anything. But I mentioned that y'all like the nub. So nubs up! Lol

I'm super excited to see the e nail experiments. My old blind ass could use a flameless option :)

I don't plan to use the Elev8r this way. I just got my Blazer Big Buddy and I'm enjoying that heating method. If I want accurate temp control I'll go with the S3.

That said I do have some contacts there at 7th floor and I'll mention the interest out there. Seems to be a pretty simple request and small process change so I think they'll be open the next time they make heaters.

It probably is the glass blowers preference. I had 10 heaters delivered to me yesterday and no nubs on any of them.......

It is more about the convenience and quickness of using a coil. I can get the heat pretty close using a torch every time....if not you just wait for the right feel of the heat coming off the heater anyway. That way you can get pretty close with some practice.

But for me.....using a torch, filling....adjusting...too much fuss and mess for me to do daily use-wise.

Yea....should be no big deal for them glass guys to add a few nubs to satisfy any use scenario.

I don't plan on using a coil, but it does seem like two Nubs would be plenty to keep a coil from slouching. Two Nubs placed opposite each other seems like plenty to hold the coil in place. I wish my original with a Nub wasn't cracked on arrival.

To the person worrying about the leaning heater being a result of your usage, I find this hard to believe. Who is it...? @Yoduh if the manufacturer believes it's an error in manufacturing, I personally trust their knowledge. They make stuff out of glass, so they are heating it all the time.

For me, this isnt even about simply replacing the heating source with a more convenient procedure. It is about taking this vape to the next level. I will be able t use it in ways that are simply impossible with a torch. It should be healthier for a start as the obvious downside to torch vapes is the huge and constant variation of temps during a hit- always STARTING very high, which is kind of necessary to keep heat for long enough.

The ability to keep the glass/quartz at a steady, specific temperature, DURING a hit (should only drop vefy slightly) will really open up doors. I can also take as short of a draw I like, at any temp dialled in, wihout having to think about torch strategy and practicality.

Personally, I only ever take one big hit per heat up, as I always hold and slowly exhale for max absorption. So by the time have let it all out, there isn't enough heat left for another worthwhile hit. So I re-torch for every hit.

But I hate having to think about and strategise how long I draw for, when to stop etc. I am often inclined to take way bigger hits than really necessary when the milk keeps flowing, because it seems like a shame to waste the heat, momentum, and gas!!

Other times, I enjoy hitting a higher temp, which gives instant whitewall, and takig only a short draw which is a nice lung full and still very smooth. But not so often for this approach as it seems a nuisance to keep torching for short hits. So usually I aim for semi dense, but still transparent, fast flowing milk that doesn't quite whitewall so I can take a longer draw until all vapor stops.

This way I feel I am getting my money's worth and reward for my efforts.
So with Enail coil- take your pick- short whitewall lung filling sips at higjer temp, or longer tastier low temp hits. Or vice versa.

THIS to me is what this development promises, and these are also the reasons @biohacker why I feel like it will always be best to hit with the coil still on the glass, otherwise the actual performance and vapor production/heat retention etc will be identical to the torched heater, just with a lot more convenience and accuracy.

There you go folks, some thoughts for the day.
@LabPong I ordered these screens today for the bowls I have coming. Have you seen these before? They may be a bit better ar keeping particulate out. They also do an extra fine mesh. They are 20.62 mm but hopefully will still fit. A little con(vex/cave)? might be a good thing too.

Great post Alexis! So many points directly my opinion and feelings as well. You hit every reason I have to use a coil for a heating device on the Elev8r.

Cool on the screens....60 mesh size should be fine. If you go with a finer screen....you will have to clean it so much more. I use a drop down and now have little if anything getting into my main water units now except the vapor stains above water. So now I can go as long as I feel comfortable with using distilled water. This was probably my biggest step up in function and performance disregarding any vape I use.

For the screen.....def put some concave in it so the middle of the load is lower than the outer edges. This helps get more even extractions. It will be easy to get the screen situated in there...the glass shape along with the bit of concave bent into the screen holds it there damn tight.....I can poke the hell out of it with the killer 7th floor pick.

The 7th floor pic is my fav tool lately besides the pax loading shovel. If you do not have these...you need them....!

I picked this little tool up from happydaddyproducts.com It's great to load with one end and I use the other end to scrape the edges of the screen where all the debris collect. U can choose to have it anodized in a selection of colors.

This anti e-nail talk will NOT be tolerated. Torch heating ain't going anywhere, we still want that, but the option for BOTH = kick ass! Dudes, we're going hybrid, it's for the environment! Versatility; it's the name of the game!

You will always need higher temps when torching then plugged in since you are constantly losing heat in one scenario... It's actually amazing this vape works for you @Alexis perhaps because it's only ever at max temp for a second? Maybe the steady stream of heat in convection vapes is why you feel harshness? Coincidentally another vape that works for you, the Vapcap, functions similarly, constantly losing heat. Not to give you any bad luck, but it would be really interesting if you find attaching a coil makes it harsher.

That's an interesting idea, but I dont think that is the case at all here. A steady constant heat at my preferred level, that doesn't drop, I have total confidencs will not cause any problems.

On the contrary- HAVING to start at such a comparatively high temp is where this vape doesnt work for me and needs improving. Exactly samw with the Vapcaps which is more enhanced. The vapcap vapor causes me more pain in my lungs/throat any day- more "aftermath" when I'm dealing with my symptoms.

When I do my steam inhalation after some vapcaps at a previous point, I can really feel pain on my throat and lungs, and taste the high heat vapcap by product nastiness as well.

I dont get this with the Elev8r. It is the quality and amazing smoothness of the Elev8r vapor that makes it work for me better than most other vapes. This will only be improved with more accurate and steady temp control. It only gets me when the heat is too high, and I take overly huge draws trying to get my due rewards.

But, even at the biggest, load blackening hits- it really doesnt cause me a fraction of the bother virtually any other vape would if I went that high heat. I can really push boundaries with a bigger safety net. No bad experiences since my first use which have put me off it.

Even when I have combusted it hasnt caused me any memorable bother, even an hour later its a non issue. If I used XL Herbo on say, 8 or even 7.5, it would makw my chest suffer for the whole day and following day I would have enough lingering bother to vow never to go above setting 7 again.

And the XL wont provide the huge powerful hits the Elev8r does even at those intolerable temps.

So no worried about increased irritation, as long as the temp is not too high, and at a constant of course. But I may be wrong and can sure appreciate your theoretical logical angle on this, thanks for the perspective dude!

First load coming up shortly. 3 Elev8r's yesterday, 4 vapcaps, and 2 edible doses. Always deliberatly moderate and conservative but still very cained.

Thats a nice tool and the small end is cool......I came close to getting one like it...but I like the higher cylinder walls of the pax one because it holds the flower in better for loading ease.

Is combusting smoother for you than vaporizing?
No no not what I'm implying at all. Each time I have combusted in Elev8r I of course stop drawing which cuts out flame instantly, but the vapor is right up there hot hot no doubt before fire kicks in. I try not to inhale the smoke, but some goes in and last time I even cleared the bubbler and blew out right away though the window, as a pose to emptying water to get smoke out.

Neither the smoke, or overheated vapor caused any memorable lasting irritation. This was my point to illustrate how the Elev8r vapor is so forgiving over a wide range.
Speaking of which, with no more delay...:science:

It's all good, I was just wondering because I notice smoking is smoother for some people then vaporizing.
