I will check them out but unlikely to spend on another torch at present, especially when they might all be taking a backward sear soon hopefully. I dont mind a little butane bill. The Big Shot is not hurting me too bad financially to be honest. I was using it today on minimal flame and I swear it is pretty close to the Big Buddy on low.Duff's an exhibitionist that way!
@Alexis have you tried a simple bernzomatic propane torch w/ a small propane tank? Simple easy valve dial, and click start. Most cost effective way of using a torch vape IME. Just not super portable.

And, the plan all along is to use a decent desktop mostly and supplement with Elev8r in a fun, fexible way. But now that desktop might end up being the Elev8r (well, Im still getting Herbo whatever, but would be a cool option alongside).
Anyway bro seeing as we're here, I have had some thoughts on the enail etc (will be random as hell from my dreamy subconscious).
I saw your posts on VLF. First- isn't Sneaky Pete such a cool guy! He will help you out in any way he can. My heater does have a nub. And I also have that spare Elev8r boxed up, unopened still. I imagine it has a nub, was sent shortly after the contest.
But this is all about the LONG GAME! If using an enail is truly going to prove to be as good as we hope, it will take Elev8r to a new height. I would be stunned if @7thFloorVapes don't recognize this and see of they can assist the process.
I mean, they so willingly instigated the quartzworks, without any hassle just a few requests.
And glass screens too! After just a whisper from the crowd, when in their own words they don't see the real need but a "what the hell, someone asked so we'll do it anyway" attitude.
If no nub proves to be the problem, I would imagine they can offer nubbed heaters.
And bottom line- we want quartz for the enail. Like I say bruv, long game! It's all good having a draw full of antique nubbed glass heaters, but an enail compatible quartz heater is surely what is due?
I have no anxiety at all, day to day using this vape from a breakage point. But I would start getting anxious with a coil roind it. One downsdie to me- I vape in my room and don't have it setup with a fixed surface for bubbers. I usually hold the UFO and 186 while I hit it.
No problem with Elev8r, vapcap, Herborizer(s), even FP.
The bubbler might have to be stationary for this application until modded further. Especially though with the horizontal Newvape 16 mm coil. The Auber one may be better, once @VCBud ingeniously figures out the next steps. I'm sure he will fair play.
So I need to watch and see how this all shapes out. If 7th Floor are their usual genius, inspired and accomodating selves, we may have a winning formula before long that really shakes up the vape world in a good way.
@LabPong big thanks bro for the bowl advice, ordered 2 cheers. i will also really appreciate being able to load 2 bowls (or 3) with diff strains and switch, but more so to be able to have a fresh load ready without having to fiddle with a finished bowl to reload.
Just need to source some screens now.
Good times guys, let's make it happen now come on!
Too early to say right now bro. Only one tester so far, another any day now. We just have to wait and see what feedback comes.Alright folks, I don't have any enail experience and am a little confused. Is there a clear winner with regard to enail controllers generally speaking? It sounds like a 16 mm coil can be utilized but as far as the controllers themselves go I'm nor sure what the best option is in terms of bang for the buck and best function.
Id would love to have a heater with 3 nubs to help hold the coil more evenly around it.
I don't plan to use the Elev8r this way. I just got my Blazer Big Buddy and I'm enjoying that heating method. If I want accurate temp control I'll go with the S3.Ask and ye shall receive! You dig @7thFloorVapes ?

That said I do have some contacts there at 7th floor and I'll mention the interest out there. Seems to be a pretty simple request and small process change so I think they'll be open the next time they make heaters.
It probably is the glass blowers preference. I had 10 heaters delivered to me yesterday and no nubs on any of them.......
Great post Alexis! So many points directly my opinion and feelings as well. You hit every reason I have to use a coil for a heating device on the Elev8r.
Cool on the screens....60 mesh size should be fine. If you go with a finer screen....you will have to clean it so much more. I use a drop down and now have little if anything getting into my main water units now except the vapor stains above water. So now I can go as long as I feel comfortable with using distilled water. This was probably my biggest step up in function and performance disregarding any vape I use.
For the screen.....def put some concave in it so the middle of the load is lower than the outer edges. This helps get more even extractions. It will be easy to get the screen situated in there...the glass shape along with the bit of concave bent into the screen holds it there damn tight.....I can poke the hell out of it with the killer 7th floor pick.
The 7th floor pic is my fav tool lately besides the pax loading shovel. If you do not have these...you need them....!
Umm who's putting down coils or adapting the product for multiple uses? Did I miss something?
That's an interesting idea, but I dont think that is the case at all here. A steady constant heat at my preferred level, that doesn't drop, I have total confidencs will not cause any problems. It's actually amazing this vape works for you @Alexis perhaps because it's only ever at max temp for a second? Maybe the steady stream of heat in convection vapes is why you feel harshness? Coincidentally another vape that works for you, the Vapcap, functions similarly, constantly losing heat. Not to give you any bad luck, but it would be really interesting if you find attaching a coil makes it harsher.
Even when I have combusted it hasnt caused me any memorable bother, even an hour later its a non issue.

I picked this little tool up from happydaddyproducts.com It's great to load with one end and I use the other end to scrape the edges of the screen where all the debris collect. U can choose to have it anodized in a selection of colors.
No no not what I'm implying at all. Each time I have combusted in Elev8r I of course stop drawing which cuts out flame instantly, but the vapor is right up there hot hot no doubt before fire kicks in. I try not to inhale the smoke, but some goes in and last time I even cleared the bubbler and blew out right away though the window, as a pose to emptying water to get smoke out.Is combusting smoother for you than vaporizing?

Neither the smoke, or overheated vapor caused any memorable lasting irritation. This was my point to illustrate how the Elev8r vapor is so forgiving over a wide range.
Speaking of which, with no more delay...
