Not sure it good storage with boveda is why, but everything I'm doing with every vape, and every strain is working great, with AA right now, feel blessed.

On whiet, stock stem with plastic tip, with tiny nuggets sipping for hours. SWEET

Zero effort.

Naw, it's inbred now. Always made my dad laugh when I 'seemed' to get the two words messed up.

A lot of years ago I went to a class on negotiating by a real expert. One of his 'side stories' was when his secretary (back when they existed.....) misspelled a letter to Conrad Hilton (head of the hotel chain) as "Comrad Hilton".........his take is 'M and N aren't very far apart on the typewriter keyboard but they're a LONG way apart politically....'. Good course, BTW.

I have a question about replacement batteries, I've done a good bit of reading through this forum and from I can tell it is kinda a dived opinion on if using non company issued batteries is a wise idea. I was reading one post over on the "best of" thread where a someone was telling all the specs on the battery and saying there really wasn't anything special about the battery the Air is using and that it was a mass produced and fairly common and ones just like it could be bought. I assume since the post was in the " best of" thread, it must be half way true and contain some useful information. If that is correct has anyone found a site that offers the batteries we need for a good price?

'It must be true, I read it on the internet.....'.

That battery was extensively researched and tested by our very own CentiZen one of the very sharpest knives in the drawer on such things, if not top dog? It is anything but "fairly common and ones just like it could be bought". He found it exceptional, really, in many small but important ways.......no suitable substitutes that met/matched all specs. He therefore ordered a batch straight from that maker and sells them at 'good guy prices'. He's in Canada so sometimes shipping is an issue.

Dealers quite often offer the factory battery for ten bucks. Last I bought were from PIU IIRC at that price. PV might be worth checking since you get 1.2 Canadian dollars for a real dollar.......

For sure I'm in the 'for a few dollars more you can get the best and not worry' group. Your call, of course.

Been having a pretty good time with the little bub. Like I've said before, I'm really surprised when I see the clouds on my exhales! It doesn't look like much in the glass when I'm hitting it.

Anyway, for $10 it's a fun little addition to the air. Even mates perfectly with the stem w mouthpiece.

Canceled my fasttech order because of @bagelbanger post:

I think this might work really well. I mean if the plastic arizer tip mates tightly then nothing else will be needed to use it. Bagelbanger said he ordered without the extras for $10.

I personally didn't want to take chances just to save a few $ per battery. I have 4 batteries. I did buy a nitecore battery charger just because many many people on FC had said it worked fine. You are taking a chance IMO using other than the stock batteries or the ones from @CentiZen.

If you have any problems with them causing issues with your unit, your warranty will be worth nothing. It's up to you to decide IMO not worth the risk.

The Air is the perfect vacation stealth portable vaporizer to have on those occasions you want or need to use your meds. It always ready when you are with the user replaceable batteries. It's discreet and doesn't shout out I'm using cannabis. It has low smell compared to some other portables.

This portable I think would appeal to the female cannabis connoisseur. It's small and easily put in a purse or bag. It's also a nice looking vaporizer, I have a black one.

Sorry But i don't understand you cause you are telling " I personally didn't want to take chances just to save a few $ per battery " but you are using a nitecore charger???? When arizer tells use their charger as same with batteries...finally you took a chance!!

The Nitecore charger wouldn't destroy your vaporizer. You are just using it to charge up a bettery.

I waited a long time before i decided to get one. I read many reviews first. I've had my unit since last Nov. I just bought the charger in June. I did give it a lot of thought beforehand. I guess it's my call. I haven't heard of one problem with the Nitecore Charger. @CentiZen did say stick with stock batteries.

In the long run you need to do what's right for you.

IMO a good question. The Lady, as usual, has solid logic/experience to offer:

The Nitecore charger wouldn't destroy your vaporizer.

A logic that carries through to the battery issue. Blowing the warranty on the battery is a small thing, not so on the vape? I also think the chance of damaging the battery is pretty small with 'name brands' of chargers and the service life of the battery is all that's at stake most likely.

FWIW I very seldom change batteries, I just recharge every 3rd or 4th session. When I loose count? Then I change to the backup battery....... It is, of course, a great service feature to be able to change out a worn out battery easily/cheaply.

Hello Good People,

Given my affiliations, I have nothing but 100% positive things to say about the Air. And I like it a lot too!

That said, I found that the stock stems weren't cutting it with regards to keeping material out of my mouth, so I trimmed down a screen to fit inside but that sucked because it plugged very quickly and the screen would fall out a lot.

For me, what the Air stem was calling for was a shallow "plenum" area in front of the holes AND a finer mesh screen. I made a couple prototypes with some 5/8 diameter screen and socket wrench sockets, but my inability to keep everything centered enough to my liking and because I'm a big ol' nerd, I designed and 3d printed some tooling to make....dun dun dunnnnnn!

The Perfect Air Screen

Check it out, it's 3 pieces, a punch (upper left), die (lower center) and platen (upper right).

The platen is inserted into the bottom of the die, and a 5/8 diameter screen is popped into the resulting shallow recess, held firmly around the outer edges by the die as well as supported from below by the platen.

Then, the punch placed in on top of the screen. The larger hoop of the punch engages the die first in order to hold everything dead center throughout the process. This is because there's clearance designed between the "working" punch and die surfaces to allow for the screen thickness, and as such, it isn't useful for aligning one half to the other.

Finally, the center part (the die, if you've paid attention) is shuttled from one side to the other. The punch drives the screen through a the die, and out pops a perfectly creased screen!

Then, with a little finagling, it can be worked into the Air stem, making me feel a hundred and TEN% positive about this Arizer product!

I have 6 OEM batteries, 2 chargers, 2 AA's, and never use the unit charger.... Always on. Bought 2 non-OEM batts, but after OF's advice, they're in a drawer somewhere.

@thekarmawhore
that looks awesome, where can I get some!!!

This might be the most ridiculous post ever, but....

I like keeping my Air and Solo ovens clean and shiny. Hate the idea of using ISO on them. So, what I do is when oven still warm, I take a q-tip, wet it a bit with my own saliva (I know that's totally healthy), and just give a swab on the bottom and around the sides until is shines like new every time. My ovens sparkle on all 3 devices. I love how easy Arizers are to keep clean, makes it that much more fun!

Why is that? I assume you're using new/clean q-tips? They should be a lot cleaner than most stuff you put in your mouth?

While I'm not sure about vaping saliva (although I've never tried.....), saliva is actually an extremely good solvent for many things (part of digestion after all?). Interesting idea, but probably best done on the sly? Might scare the women and horses.......
