Once again, guys, I think grind is a refinement not a key? You can get good vapor out of intact buds or powder (and anything between) if the herb is even OK, let alone good/great?

This is has been my experience. After enough experimentation, I personally just use my Zeus 4pc grinder and load that into either my Air or Extreme Q. Works just as well as anything else, I've found, and is the quickest way for me to medicate.

Amen! I think a great 'first thing to try' in most/all such cases is to slow down the draw and see what happens. Sipping usually pays off.

If you check out those astounding videos of little guys like MFLB 'chalking up the WT' you'll note they filled the WT very slowly? No faster than the vape was able to produce vapor. It's not like blazing, drawing in more air to heat only robs heat that would make vapor and dilutes the output in the process.

The day my Air came in I stopped by our only local vape shop (just opened/ ran by old man) to pick up an extra battery. I told him I needed an 18650 battery, and he asked what model was it going in. I told him an Arizer Air, he said He wasn't familiar with that model right off, and went to to stay that some were a bit different even though they were all 18650 so I went to the car and got the battery out for him to check out, he gave it a look over and said yea ok, and gave me one that looks like just like it only a different color. I figure it's ok, but I did want to be sure before I did anything that just might skrew it up!

This has been researched in technical and electronic detail and discussed extensively here, with the definite consensus that for safety and warranty reasons,,YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE A NON FACTORY BATTERY!

Some very knowledgeable people here have thoroughly checked this out. Take advantage of their efforts to answer that same question. official batteries are only a few bucks more so it's not worth the risk!

So true. When combusting sucking more air meant more oxygen and a hotter flame. With vaporizors pulling a lot of air through just results in cooler temperatures and slow draw allows the heat to build up producing more vapor.

I love the shorty bent stem from PV. The small bowl is enough for me on a regular night (ok, probably been hitting the Persei too). Shorty bowl uses a minuscule amount of medicine.

I use exclusively Air batteries. I did buy a Nitecore battery charger along with the attachment for the car. But that was after months of reading other posts. I wasn't going go get a non Air battery charger but thanks to all the "beta testers" using the Nitecore I feel safe. You are only risking a battery not the unit itself anyway.

For all of you waiting for the Grasshopper vaporizer you could have an Arizer Air now and get your Hopper later. I know the GH looks like you're vaping on an ink pen. The Air looks like an E-cigar.

I have a battery question. I apologize if this was asked before.

I believe that it was suggested that we do not store batteries charged 100%.

My question is can they be stored "empty" for a few days?

If someone wants to rotate through multiple batteries can the first 1 or 2 wait empty for a couple days until the 3 or 4 can be charged together?

No problem. If you run them down to cutoff in the Air they are still a long way from the danger zone. Under normal (temperature mostly) conditions a month or more should be OK.

Air is designed with this in mind, the lower limit is set safely far up.

I think with lithium ion batteries you don't want to store them for lengthy periods completely empty.

However, partial charged or fully charged shouldn't be a problem. They will slowly discharge over time.

I am not sure how this applies to the arizer, but with other electronics it does.

Actually storage at full charge is a bad idea and should be discouraged. Just sitting at 100% charge damages over time, much faster at higher temperatures. This is why they come shipped to you charged to about 70%. The maker could charge them further, but knows that means out of spec batteries down the road.

For the same reason leaving them 'plugged in, charged and ready to go' is probably a bad plan. I'm sure we all know of cell phones or laptops that were kept this way that now have useless battery life? That's why.

Received the PBW yesterday - filled it into the jar that came with the micro bubbler, put the thing in it and let it soak over night (guess only some minutes would have been sufficient): all new lookin shiny bubbler!!

You're welcome and absolutely right. It's a well engineered product, designed to do just what we need. Performance just shy of amazing. Not to mention safe to store, cheap to use and OK to send down the drain.

Yes, I know about using PBW and all, but I can't seem to get the liquid -- or water either, for that matter--OUT of the little thing. It doesn't spill, great, but it doesn't drain either, no matter how I shake it or turn it.

I described my technique at the start of the discussion, which I recommend. Flush it under running hot then warm then cold water from the tap. Inverted of course. Shake out the excess and vape on.

One of the PBW properties is 'rinsing clean'. A few minutes in the sink does it.

Does it fit in a zip lock? Fill a ziplock or a cup with PBW, but bubbler in. Success!

So.. Tell me if this is safe.

I cut my short plastic tipped stem in half. So i have two short stems now. For one of them no glass shows, just the plastic tip sticks out of the aa end. Will the plastic tip being so close to the heating chamber and hot glass from the heating chamber cause plastic vapor in the air path?

I think on low settings and waiting a bit between draws it will be fine... But for more intense use?

The other stem is the original stem bowl, and the glass sticks out of the air just enough to put the stem cap on. I have some enano silicone for the visible glass, and also a mflb batter cap that I cut to have an opening... Not really liking the look of it...

No problems I know of, I do it every few months I guess, when the urge strikes. Our water here is quite soft. I run it empty (no dishes) but don't see why it wouldn't work as a detergent there as well?

Never tried the clothes washer, like I said our water is not really a fouling problem. My Belgian friend says they include heating in their washers, the usual death from fouling, I suspect this would forestall that?

No, I don't agree. It's answering some members' sincere questions. The very reason the forum exists? IMO cleaning is definitely part of this or any other vape.

If you want to discuss 'thread fouling' how about we start with 'I just pulled the trigger on this vape', 'I just tried XXX strain' and so on? How useful is that sort of information to the community really?
