holllly tits. you guys werent kidding. this thing is small. canada post is retarded though wont ship my air on a Friday but decide its necessary to deliver it on sunday morning? since when do they even work weekends.

anyway stoked to have this baby in my hands. I cant believe the clouds it produces. Way bigger for me on the lower temps compared to my older solo. Just the mere size of this machine baffles me that it can even make vapor. also the new mouthpiece seems to add some cooling affect or something. I will take a long hard pull not feel much heat and then end up clouding my face out.

Ordered my air even though I didn't need one lol. My pax might get retired based on all this positive feedback so far. Read one person say it didn't produce much smell which is a huge plus over the Pax for me. had a question though, what kind of screen/ guard are you guys using to keep your "herb" from falling into the heater core? Any pics/ links would be awesome.

Also, for those of you who mentioned using a piece of dampened cotton on to help with the dry vapor, where are you guys placing the cotton in the stem exactly. Anyone got pics?

Still waiting to hear more from @Starless since that's the only member I've seen that mentioned owning both the Pax and the air.

IMO 'stuff falling into the heater core' is still a non issue. It was not a significant problem with Solo, and it seems it will be less so here (easier for and dust to get out the bottom).

In the photo above you can see the stem at the top. The cotton goes in between the load and the screw threads ('inside the vial part'). In use the MP is screwed on, of course. The tubing is part of another discussion, normally there's a flat rubber gasket in there (which I promptly lost....).

You can McGuyver a "cap" using a screen : Form a hemisphere using a pencil, invert, and place it over the load. & you are good to go.

i think this is the gasket users have been talking about. sounds like they are easily lost. this is why OF posted pics of his replacement gasket.

i would prolly replace it with high temp silicone myself.

I started out that direction in fact. I was going to slit a section of my largest Silicone hose to get a (somewhat curved) 1/16 inch sheet. I was going to start with using a .40 cal shell casing as a punch (seems about the right size), but then I got to thinking about punching the inner hole and went off to find the nesting brass tube. By the time I got back the smaller tubing sizes were callin' my name.......

This morning I was looking at the Air and I think it's one of the most stealth vaporizers when used with the small Air aroma tubes. It looks just like those e-juice vapes I see people using while out on the road and walking around town. If I saw someone using the Air out of the corner of my eye my first thought would not be, I bet that is a reefer vape. In some ways it is better to find a way to hide right out in the open — relaxed. If you look like you are 'sneaking' a toke a hell of a lot of stealth just went out the window no matter which vape you use.

Have to agree there. Hiding in plain site is always best. Somehow goes invisible.

I just love how far technology has come this day and age. When i was younger i would have never imagined being able to toke without using a flame. These vape's would have got a ton of attention and use back in the day's. I'm sure there are still allot of smokers who don't even know about vaporizing yet esp in states where it is not legal yet. Portable vaporizing would have saved my ass a few times when i was a teen .

Thanks for the pic man. That helps. So just take off the mouthpiece and push some damp cotton down there, then screw the mp back on?

The reason I was concerned about the screen is because I've never used a solo. I have the arizer extreme q which is top loaded and uses a screen. The pax is loaded from the bottom so worries there. You guys just pack it down in the stem really tight with a pen or something? Figured that's the only way to keep it from falling out. Also, how noticeable is it if you do use the wet cotton? Does it significantly help with the dryness of the vapor?

It should, the OD of the threads reads .40 and .45ACP would be .451 plus. I bet it's 'close enough for jazz' in that it'll just dome up a little bit but be square where it counts?

@shawn0223 don't pack too tight, unless you want a lot of conduction and a tighter draw. But you can just pack it like a chillum basically (p, tight enough to stay put but loose enough for airflow. Using a not-too-fine grind will help, and I also usually give it a tamp with my pinky so there's a little of space in between herb and where the steel plate will be. Also brush off any kief on the outside or bottom edge of the stem to help keep things cleaner. You can hold the stem upright packed, and give it a few taps with your finger to see if any loose bits fall out. Once they're firm, stick it in the Air and enjoy!

Used my Air out on the streets walking to go out to dinner last night with the gf, not quite as well hidden in hand as the Indica or Elevape, but can be fisted with just a little sticking out from the short stem. Again, it looks like an ecig and is still pretty damn discrete out and about, but yeah if someone is really watching you they might figure it out. Usually you're already gone before they had time to process anyway though

I actually took out the gaskets on purpose, doesn't seem like they offer much any benefit for me and better to have less separate pieces. And DAMN these stems get coated with thick honey so fast, especially the long stem, gonna have to try that cotton in their for reclaiming and potential hit de-harshening...

Better efficiency, clouds, draw resistance, and taste (although taste starts to drop off as you go thtough the bowl)
Less maitenance and smell.

If I get more than one spare battery, it will be better in battery life, too. I won't be using my Pax in the near future. A definite upgrade, imo, aside from a little less stealth, which is the only thing the Pax beats it at.

Edit: Of course, remember this is my opinion after only a very short time of using it.

IMO the air is a better cloud producer at lower temps and the flavor retention is unbelievable, but vapor is less dense than the solo. its kind of like an older cloud vs an evo if you have experience with both... but doesnt kill flavor nearly as quick as an evo

You probably will want to keep the stems fairly clean for public use though. It's really the only thing that can give away this vape but other then that it is extremely discrete.

Another thing that makes this vape discrete is the ability to charge the battery outside the vape in a separate battery charger. This is advantageous to vaporizers without removable batteries as you don't need the actual vape plugged in to charge the battery. You could stuff the Air in a drawer but still be charging. Doesn't affect me at all but probably does for people with roomates/dorms/parents etc.

It just depends where you are. Pulling out a bud to load it is the only unstealthy part of using this vape. Other then that its really discrete and I've used it right out at restaurants even. Doesn't seem to put out much smell. Most places it doesn't matter but when you are in public it is handy to just pull a preloaded stem out of the case. (which holds 2) I took the Air to the Christmas parade the other night and didn't have any caps so I didn't preload the stem, I just ground a bit of dandelion greens and put it in a wax container. I like those cause they are really slim and hold a few stems worth. Even my smallest herb jars are quite a bit bigger then the wax ones.

I find that these little guys are pretty handy for quick loading vapes on the go

FINALLY got my AA today (friggin Can Post) ! Had to let it come to room temp to do the full charge, followed later by I burn off and one 'seasoning' if the unit with some sugar leaves

In my view, it IS definitely more stealth than my Solo, and I do like the esthetics & form. The clip pouch that come with it seems pretty damn convenient (flashlight'ish hile wearing), and anticipate the possibilities being 'rigged up' for on the go with a slot for a spare battery Time and play will tell !

Just had my first (and definitely not my last, lol), after installing one of my solo's tube screens I use in the bowl (Vapir N02 ultra-fine top-hat screens), and loading in a 'piece' of sticky Black Russian bud (unground) while setting it to the 2nd setting (white(?)).... OUTSTANDING !! Blew great tasty clouds the whole session beyond the initial thin wispy tastebud exploding 1st hit

I found the thread stems a little warm for my liking, probably normal considering the short air path and restricted (compared to my Solo(s)), intake... however, I do enjoy the experience and will experiment with more use.

I think I really like this purchase, and will most likely just leave it be without tinkering. Aside from wanting to try the next one on Blue (1st setting), since I'm more of a flavor snob than a cloud chaser, as I normally use my Solo on #2, and with some PV glass for around home partaking So glad FC was ONCE AGAIN here for me to find yet another early release of a great vape for me to enjoy

Will it replace my Solo (or any other vape) ?? Nahh... each and every one has its place & moment to shine for ME

I couldn't agree more @smokum. Each vaporizer has it's place. Sometimes it depends on the circumstance and the mood as to what vaporizer I prefer to use. I do use the Solo more, it's my desktop.

It's nice to have a variety. I have no plans on selling a vaporizer because I bought the Air. I will just have more vaporizers to love.

alleviate some of the warm mp concerns on the AA .

Also , do you think the bottom part of the skin
can be cut off , to expose just the battery cap ?
So you don't have to remove it , every time you swap batts .
