Simply fuckin confusing, this stem business. My Air came with a nak-ked longer glass stem.

I chust wanna shorty stem!

I agree it's confusing, but vape stuff often is, especially new vape stuff. Hopefully it'll clear up with time.

You're not alone at wanting more short stems, right now it seems you can have all you want at about $170 each from PIU......and you get a free Air, charger, skin and longer stem......

Bad joke I know, but IMO right now they have a pile of the ones they're not shipping to sell off?

I ordered 2 of the replacement 'Air glass aroma tubes' from the Arizer website and received the new ones with the plastic mouthpiece yesterday. Like 'em a lot with the solo.

I got a couple too. Nice option for Solo, although I think the all glass, full length stems are better for routine use there, and come with lots of options (bent, PVHES, Turbo, GonG and so on).

Hopefully, eventually, we'll have both the other new stems (the short all glass, and shortest capped ones). When that happens, Arizer is gonna get some more of my money.......

yeah hopefully, and even better, custom stems/gongs and whatnot made for the air (that won't stretch the air). I am really itching to buy some sort of F-bomb type glass for my air but I can wait.

I didn't read the whole thread so sorry if this is a repeat. I see the Air is on sale. Is there any reason to get the Air if I have the Solo and don't care about stealth? Meaning, are there significant improvements? I'm saving up for a something (not sure yet- too many options)

Nah. Just bragging rights.

The Air is basically a slimmed down version of the heft in the Solo.

It does have its own presence, however. I luvv it.

The Air is similar to a Solo but stealth. If you have a Solo and you don't need stealth you are fine. It's like a more slimmed down Solo. The Solo is the chubby older sister. It doesn't have a battery indicator to show battery level and the Solo has one.

The oven fits approx the same amount of herb as the Solo. To me the vapor is a bit more harsh because of the shorter air path, but that's natural. I enjoy the Air at a lower heat level so that solves the harshness issue.

It's small and looks like an ecig with the short stem. Very well made and feels sturdy with top of the line materials. I haven't heard of any faulty units. Chime in if I'm mistaken about that.

Speaking of stems.....
My Air from PIU came with both short stems, one with mouthpiece and one 'naked' short stem.
Personally I enjoy using my longer Solo stem on it... less lo-pro, but cools the vapor and the glass doesn't get warm near the mouth.
I've also used my pnwt on it, which I will share a pic of, however, it seemed to wisp the vapor a bit, still experimenting with it.
Difference between Solo and Air ? The Air gets me more medicated faster, maybe that makes no sense but it's true. Also creates more visible vapor at similar temp settings as Solo.
My advice is to get an Air even though you have a Solo, I did, and enjoy the Air much more.

Broke down and ordered an Air! This will be my first Arizer product. I can't wait! It should be here Saturday!

HUGE Shoutout to PuffItUp and Randy! $170 for the air is a truly great price. I have bought from PIU multiple times and it is my hands-down, by-far, no question, favorite place to buy vapes. Randy is the nicest dude ever.

I really like this vape so far but a few things I have noticed (not deal breakers):

-Temperature could go lower IMO. Upper range is cool with me but it needs either the same 5 heat settings with bigger steps or more steps. This is especially important with a short vapor path which many seem to use; starting lower causes me less irritation.

-It should come with screens for the stems (especially the short one). I mean sure it would add to labor cost and a tiny bit more for material cost but it would be well worth it. This I believe is linked to the first negative, more particles means a harsher hit for me (and id assume most others?).

-This one is really minor but should have included stem caps as well. I cant think of anyone I know who wouldnt appreciate high temp stem caps.

Big Improvement

Pretty large course screen. It took awhile but I formed it in the stem with a sharpie and then flipped it upside down to make a dome screen. It feels smoother, possibly due to less particles.

Packing tool (top of cloud elb). Arizer eq would work or basically anything that diameter.

Battery life is excellent IMO. Two batteries should cover most situations. 2 batteries would probably cover anyone if they have an external charger (no not a challenge lol). @PuffItUp thanks for the deal, love that second battery-I notice it is no longer on ebay at that price so price match is no longer very helpful, makes that PIU "Air" coupon a killer deal especially now ($170!).

Build quality and design are awesome. Effects? Check! It took awhile to post this and im sure its filled with mistakes, more a testament to effects vs poor communication skills :lol::lol:.

@Kid Lightning

Found that the shorter Air stem makes a good connector with the PPWT, although the added height
makes gravity the undoubted winner of this somewhat precarious setup.

Unless, a stabilizing stand can be crafted.

This also minimizes the stealthy ethos of the small Air, should only be used indoors to stay below the Bobbys' radar.

Wouldn't be surprised if a shorter, or Air specific, water filter makes its appearance soon.

Ok thanks, im not sure i'll bother with a water tool at the moment because i have the extreme q set up at home with the ddave adapter which connects to my small bong, so when the air arrives it will be mainly used out and about

Posted a few page's back , ill try again . Is anyone possibly interested in Skins for the Air ? I just need some help from fellow forum members to make a template i can send out. if somebody can get me a template i can send it out and start having them made. I think the skin would be best if it was designed to not go on the heater but right up to it. If someone can help please message me a template or message me and i'll send you my email adress. Appreciate it and Ty Here is a example with the Pax :

Re-post , If anyone can make up a template for the Air for a skin and send it to me , would be greatly appreciated .

Vapefiend has the air in stock
Just ordered, anyone know if this charger will also work with the the solo

Yes (I do) and No (it won't). Air is 5 VDC, Solo is 12 VDC. While the connectors are the same (4mm) size, Air is longer so if you accidentally plug the Solo charger into your Air you don't necessarily blow it up. After testing with mine I found this safety margin was like .7mm.......not the sort of thing you want to mess with.

Chargers don't interchange(unless you have something like this:
uMFUgsb.jpg

to convert the 12 Volts to 5. That's an early prototype, the current version is a bit less crude but is hiding somewhere (must be camera shy.....).

Owners that have both should be very careful of mixing up the chargers I think. I'm not willing to risk mine by testing but I think should you get 'lucky' and make that contact the magic smoke will get out of your Air.

So it seems I'm one of the few if not only person on FC? with a defect air.
I contacted Arizer and they suggested sending it back.
It can only be sent to Canada, so this could cost me another air if customs charge
me as much as they did when I first recieved it.
I'm still not sure if I'm going to send it back or if I'm going to wait a few weeks and buy one
online from Holland and forget about this one all together.

Ouch that's no good. What is wrong with it ? there was 1 other member that reported a problem besides you so far. Im sure if you send Arizer a email and explain nicely they will figure out a way to take care of you.

It does every thing it should do, except it doesn't keep doing it long enough.
So it heats up and when it's up to temp, sometimes it goes for a minute and shuts down,
sometimes it keeps heating for 3 minutes, 5 minutes....
Basically, it shuts down randomly.
This is with a freshly charged battery.
I got two batteries, both with same results.
I haven't tested it plugged in yet, can it be used without batteries when plugged in?
Though it would be weird that both batteries go south after about the same time.
I haven't charged them any other way than in the air.
