mighty air stem

not my preferred method to fill the arizer stems.
i usually pour from grinder in my left hand and shovel it with the stem.
than one soft push with a finger and done.

and one more thing

what do you when you have lost your rubber chamber cap from the AIR ?
it's not listed in accessories

Just wanted to share, I had a fantastic experience with Arizer customer service. Air stopped working so I contacted Arizer direct instead of the Canadian retailer I bought it from. Arizer has a US based warranty service provider so I only had to pay $6, instead of $25 to send it to Canada, and no customs forms to deal with. From me sending it in to having a brand new Air and battery at my door was 4 days. Awesome.

Question: My Arizer Air I purchased from puffitup now likes to blink the blue light erratically on heat up and promptly shuts down. Searching this thread I found two references that said to RMA it. Any new information that I may have missed regarding a DIY fix?

Secondly, it seems like people recommend returning it to Randy instead of Arizer. What is the reason for not returning it to the manufacturer? Is it because they are Canadian? Is it because Randy is awesome? Is it that we are all stoned when we post on here?

Any and all information appreciated.

This has been known to happen.

I think a hard reset has fixed some:

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and we're sorry to hear that. You may be able to manually reset your Air. Please try the following:

Plug the charger into the wall outlet
Plug the charger into the AIR unit
press and hold both buttons for approximately 4 seconds
wait for 10 seconds then unplug from charger

Here's a post from one example of it happening:

Well, truthfully, I think it's a little bit of all those things, but most of all, it's the outside chance that you might get a free box of Girl Scout Cookies from @PuffItUp !!!

Normally when you have problems with a vaporizer and you need to return for warranty, you go through who you bought it from first. If they aren't helpful then you go through the company. Ariser will honor your warranty no matter who you bought it from. As long as it's not a knock off (fake).

Try using the search key on FC. The reset has been talked about in the Solo and the AA thread. It's handy.

Tried twice, no luck. Thank you though.

For anyone troubleshooting this down the road, roughly 20% of the time it just shuts off, 50% the lower LED is random blinks and then a shut down, and 30% it is a fast 5 blinks and then shuts down.

Got it. Not a fan of girl scout cookies. The cookies. The strain is nice though.

Just wondering. Did you try the manual reset with both battery in and battery out?

Yeah.

Tried it a few times with no battery.

Tried it a few times with battery.

Tried it a few times with no battery and cap.

Held both buttons for up to 50 seconds, no change, just dead lights. Once I let go of both buttons, it returned to the normal charge cycle lights after roughly two seconds. If the battery was removed, the normal blinking blue light was replaced with a red light.

Thanks for the assist @GetLeft , looks like I will need to RMA it. And 100% agreed on keeping the record, hopefully it will make it easier for some poor bastard down the road.

Besides this little hurdle, I've been loving the Air. I primarily "session vape" with the enano, but the Air is great when I'm away from the desk. Very glad that I got one of these despite this issue.

This quote is from an email exchange I had with Arizer Customer Service.

Very useful information, thanks for passing it on. I'm guessing some of the confusion comes from Solo and the rest is mostly 'I read it on the web'????

Sorry for all the silly questions, but it looks like I have another.

I filled out an online form to RMA my Air last Friday. I still haven't heard back from anyone. What would my next step be? Is Randy cool if I PM'd him here? Should I email them? Am I being impatient?

Thanks all, the help is appreciated.

Follow up. puffitup was not at all at fault. The mistake was on my end and my initial email never made it to them (beer was involved). They responded promptly to my "second" email and have provided an RMA postage, so I will be shipping her off on Monday.

Thanks again all.

Vapes R Great
So I have been busting out my Air again after retiring it last November for the Mighty.

Are any of you guys using the planet vape HE stems with black tip?? Is it any good for improved airflow??

I can't handle the restriction anymore since using the mighty. I have a vortex air stem with the eBay domed screens which I absolutely love and wish they made a shorter version 70-90mm for stealth. I have never used the regular HIgh efficiency stems. I want a stealthy stem with max airflow.

For my home sessions I pack the vortex stem to fill just the domed screen leaving a nice gap from heater. Heat up on green with stem loaded and end capped. Wait two minutes after heated. Remove cap and enjoy for one full 10 min session.
I dunno if I just got lucky but my vortex stem is perfect fit and gets huge clouds with good air flow. You really can't beat the flavour on These arizer portables!

The Air makes lots of us lucky ;)

Yes I find too that heating up the load well plays a favorable role in getting thicker vapor, especially when the load is a little moist. Recently, I've been using the stock black tip (short) stem because the one I have is less restrictive than the longer all glass stem which fits a little more snuggly. I never thought I'd make the switch because there is a slight loss of flavor with the short stem and one of the things that I liked most about the AA was the quality vapor flavor. Still flavorful with the shorty (not to mention super discrete if that's your thing), but not as flavorful as the longer glass stem. Don't have one but can see that the vortex must be a good way to go: decent air flow, good flavor (thanks to cooler vapor) and, with proper heat up, good vapor.
