I have being using my air for a couple of months now, and I must say it is a good unit, even tried a couple of times with a few friends, won't get everyone super stoned but after 2 or 3 seshs it does get you fairly high. The only thing that I don't really like it is the draw resistance which sometimes it sort of pisses me off, but lately I am not really having an issue with it, I don't really know if it is because I did get used to it.
But the thing is that after such time with my air I am noticing that I can get more air flow if I kinda of pull very gently the mouthpiece, the air flow improves quite a bit. And I always use it with two pipe screens.
So probably a few people noticed that as well, but I reckon that is always good to share our own thoughts on the unit.
Does anyone have any suggestions or tips for improving air flow or pack the oven in such a way that can improve something or if any of you guys vape with your air in a different way can share here it is always a pleasure to try different "methods" of vaping cheers guys

@inhale Planetvape sells the PVHES line of mouthpieces for the Air and the Solo. They have added slits along the sides to help with added air flow. They are kinda pricey along with shipping. If you order get 2 if you can afford it. They makes it easier to draw, just another way to enjoy this vape.

Many people use the technique you mentioned where you push the stem fully in after loading it then slightly pull it back out just a tiny bit. As im sure you have over a number of sessions you find your sweet spot of airflow.

Other members tilt their stems slightly when they are drawing.

As Carol said you can also purchase high airflow stems.

Aaaargh fuck! I just cracked the bowl on my PVHES GonG . The only saving grace is I had enjoyed a very nice stem not long before but an annoying $30 inconvenience nonetheless.

2 pipe screens? How does that work?

I noticed my air flow getting a little cloggy and I replaced my screen and that helped a LOT

The best thing I've done to get more cloudier and stony sessions is to: Grind finer and pack less.

If I start a sesh on the green heat I can barely get a full draw before I'm choking from so much vapor (after the flavor hit)

also, besides tilting the stem a little... twisting it seems to make it vape more evenly and keep a sesh going when it starts to fade.

Best to grip from the threaded part of the tip and not the actual bit that goes in your mouth.

Hello friends, just getting over the flu. Holy shit, if you ever wonder if you have the flu,you don't, but when you have it, you KNOW. Mostly gastro, but plenty chest, head, body aches fever, no food, culd barely sip water. Just a couple of sips off my AA every few hours helped with naussea and sleep more than anything. Godsend. A sip at a time is all i could handle, but it soothed. Oh yeah, also bought a Solo.

Plastic tips will eventually fail, period. Replacement available.

For me Cannabis is great for cold and flu, Air in the bed is better than anything pharma.
Small dose of edibles works well too and then top up as needed with vape.

Hmmm... yea, I've been using the tip... but it's so loose in there I just bite it and twist the unit. 0 torque on the tip. Though it is all scratched up with teeth marks now... gonna get a couple back up stems and maybe just some tips as well.

The little holes in your screens start to fill up with resinous gunk after a few sessions, particularly where the screen is being cooled by contact.
(That's why dome shaped screens work better than flat screens - they seem to collect less gunk per session and have a larger surface area so it takes more gunk to block the air flow appreciably)
Suggest you take a close look for yourself with a loupe or magnifying glass under strong light when you feel the draw is getting hard.
Take it out and either try flaming it with a butane torch or lighter until there's no more stuff burning off or wash with ISO.
I clean my screen every few sessions and only replace them when the edges fray.
(The Solo is even more sensitive to this build up IMHO)

Just got my Air in today and man this thing is great. The only other portable unit that I've had prior to this was an Iolite WISPR which, honestly, kinda sucked. This is smooth, tasty, has good amounts of vapor and is getting the job done.

The AA is a nice unit to have in your vaporizing arsenal. With the user replaceable batteries you can always be ready when the need arises. With its discreet size it's handy to have on the go. Whether you vaporize for medical or recreational the Air is easy to use and clean and is a perfect partner to have with a desk top unit.

There are many mouthpieces that you can get through Planetvape or some wooden pieces through @Ed's TnT and it easily pairs with a water tool if that's something that you are interested in.

Make sure you keep the screens clean and you shouldn't have too tight of a draw. Just keep a loose bowl, don't pack. This unit needs airflow through your cannabis. A slow and steady draw works best with this unit as well as the Solo.

Glad others are discovering this handy little portable.

You can use the vaporizer whatever way you please but you will go through the batteries quicker. @OF does it cause the battery to get too hot and could it cause damaged?

Charging up the 2 spare batteries I got in the mail yesterday. Is there a certain way I should store them for transport?

I think I read that they shouldn't just be kept in your pocket.

I've been using these match containers ... They can hold a stem with the cap on, or hold a battery - for the battery to fit snuggly, I put an earplug in the bottom of the container.

The green one comes with a mirror in the cap, which is easily removable for a better fit ...

Your call, but you should protect the positive end of the battery in some way. Bridging the gap on top between the button and the jacket can 'make the sun come up in your pocket'. Scary huge energy available from these guys when fully charged. I've used vinyl caps (3/4 inch) before but usually use these two cell holders (they even come in festive colors....):

I popped them into a Nitecore charger and they were at 63% ish... now they've charged up to 96% but don't seem to be moving beyond that.

Good to go or let them go to 100%?

Also, pop them out as soon as I notice they're at capacity or is it okay to leave them charging over night if needed?

I personally didn't like the silicone skin. I suppose if the units being knock around a bit in a bag the sleeve would protect. IMO the unit doesn't work any better with the sleeve.

It's so nice looking, it looks better without the sleeve. I used mine off and on a few times.

I've used my Ed's Solo stem in my AA. It felt tight and I was a little worried at first. I didn't notice that it created any problems. The oven seems to expand and go back into shape well. I've used it several tine. I interchange all my stems with the AA and the Solo.

Originally the Air came with a long Solo stem. Not sure if they still do that? I assume the Airzer company thinks it's OK.

Just got a short, blackwood 14mm Solo stem from Ed....for my Air. I bought it because I'd seen many posts documenting other stems being used interchangeably. Has anybody used an Ed's Solo stem in an AA? While not ideal, is it detrimental to the AA? I love the stealthiness of it.

The general answer, if you want maximum battery life (and who doesn't??) is to 'overcharge' them the first time ONLY. Go at least 4 hours longer than 'full', but only the first charge. The first heavy discharge (like calling for heat) and this opportunity is past. This gives you the fullest possible 'forming' of the battery chemistry. A modest increase in capacity throughout it's life can be had this way.

After that first time, avoiding fully charged is a serious advantage IMO. Stopping at 90% (about .1 Volt) short can DOUBLE the battery life. Yes, 300 'cycles' to 600. Drop it again, to 80% and it doubles again to 1200......a considerable improvement on 300?

Simply storing them at 100% charge, especially where warm, can kill them off with no real use at all. This is why the properly came to you at about 2/3 charged, that's not an accident, old stock, or sloppy QC. It's exactly what should happen. Likewise, you're best advised to not fully charge them and stash them away for 'someday'. Accept 2/3 capacity in standby/emergency use or 'top them up' before you put them in active service.

Not as important with vapes like Air with user changeably batteries, but with ones like Solo where you can't it's a great tool. In fact, I built some 'Gadgets' to do just that, shut charge down early. This is the current version (pun intended):

One other bit of information here, when the Military buys gear that uses this class of batteries they specify full charge at just under 4.0 Volts (3.97 being a typical number IIRC), this means less hours per charge of run time, but since it increases life in the field four fold (no replacements......) it's seen as a good trade off. Just because the Air Force pays too much for hammers and toilet seats doesn't mean they're dumb.....

I just like the silicone because its more comfortable to hold for me personally, but I agree, the AA does look great without the skin. I received mine a couple weeks ago and it came with the short stem with the plastic mouthpiece and a glass stem thats the same length except all glass. So If I have some LG HG2 3000mah batteries Ive been storing since they arrived, havent charged them at all...How long are they "good" with just being stored and not used? for example, I probably bought them around september. If I choose to use them now, are they still good and safe to use in the device?

what is the best battery for longevity of life (Mah) that you have found to work in the air?
