Hi everyone,

I am very curious about the Angus and after reading this whole thread, I decided to give it a try, since my retailer delivers it with the new cu and also will give 2 years warranty AND ensures (bulb)- repairing, if necessary:clap:
Thanks to you all for the suggestions / warnings here.
I ordered my unit with new CU from my German retailer, chances are good to hold it in my hands already tomorrow.

So far I used a Focusvape Pro (disappointing), Boundless Tera (after reading complete FC thread, very nice hitter but glue gave up after 4 years) and Crafty+ (no Smoking since I got it, but after one year / now 330h of usage, the battery life is a bummer).

I will try to give you detailed feedback.
Cheers :sherlock:

The WPA turns upside down, so you could use a male OR a female! 👍

It's great people are starting to improvise with this thing.
I know but it looks so constricted and ugly :D

exhibit A, look how narrow - https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0017/1828/8436/products/20221108_095821_2048x2048.jpg?v=1667919908

exhibit B, look how convoluted - https://i.ibb.co/wZHrJYw/20221115-225947846.jpg

edit: I think i quoted the wrong person. sorry. i dunno how to use the quote thingy very well

That 2nd picture looks great! Like some crazy French, Art Deco concoction that someone in the 19th century would use to get wasted! It's awesome!

I'll admit it can be awkward to use and sticks in the glass hard. You have to twist it to get it off or it will separate from the body!

@FearAndLawyering It seems that making a dramatic stylistic statement, for good or for ill, is a strategy they are pursuing to attract attention away from some of the bigger players.

I’m still loving my Angus more so now with the new CU.
No bad taste/smell and the magnets are super strong.
they improve magnets in this new revision ?? Can you tell is there still any problematic cons in this model ?

I just used the Angus with new cooling unit yesterday. I waited until the new cooling unit arrived. I am using Samsung p26a 2600, 35A batteries in the unit. and after 2 sessions back to back, the unit gets pretty hot where I really don't want to touch the metal battery screw plate. Is this normal? or should I use different batteries?
I would say that sounds normal. I always shut the unit off before my last pull and try to fit my sessions in 2 - 3 minutes. This thing uses lots of power so I would get a spare set of batteries if you are going to use it often.

I am still disappointed that Mike disappeared from all platforms
He went away once proper questions arose
Never responded to me or via inbox after a tested mine
Nor did the place I got mine seem to care for my feedback

None of it has been addressed
The springs I found were an apparent safety switch has never been addressed
Mike was going to swap the springs saying they were weak (why doesn't the manufacturer know this let alone be pleased by the finding he didn't need to replace parts)

I find it strange that the bullying that went on around this vape from some circles and the lack of true transparency (guised in transparency) is shit

Never got to see or had explained the wires connecting to the globe
Nothing has been addressed

Lots of people give props that the new CU was made - but that was like pulling teeth and you all only got PEEK because I had to make that happen
Mike kept trying to use PPSU again
Many issues with this one

Such potential
But too much suss behaviour and bullys and sock puppet accounts
It has not been made with safety in mind or any QC

Why are these halogen vapes surrounded by controversy all the time
Seems like it could be a simple and safe construction using the same tech in a sensible manner

Stop using customers as guinea pigs
And sellers need to do better research before pushing new products on the community

I don't just get a taste on my tongue for half hour after
I get a sore and irritated throat
I have over 40 vapes - I am used to robot fart and have a little experience with different traits
This is unique and different

Is there any place to get custom cooling stems with a magnetic base to fit the Angus? I would like to find something that looks cool when lit up.
You can get a glass cooling stem that goes to the base of the chamber for stem loading, from TRWW, very reasonable. If you load the stem a little outside of the chamber, you could see some light that way. Otherwise, with herb in the chamber, I've never seen any light. 💡👀

Hello everyone :sherlock:, I’ve been lurking in this thread for a bit and decided to go through with buying as well as make an account so I can provide some feedback. It just got delivered today and I am pleased to say this is exactly what I was looking for, just like the HLT, this thing brings out terps I didn’t know existed. I kinda rushed through the initial cleaning and burn off process, did a quick wash in iso for all metal parts, and let the device run at level 5 for 2 sessions. Afterwards I put everything together, loaded some mids and blew through the air intake to get a little coating of resin through the air path. After that was complete I did a session at level 2 and I immediately fell in love, had to cut the session short as I was already where I wanted to be. The vapor production along with the flavor are incredible, that combined with the wonderful build quality and classy looks, I think this vape is a great addition to any collection lacking a portable session device. Not to mention it’s currently on sale for $160

Hi, I have problem with new Angus! I hope someone can advise.

It came with Molicel batteries in the case. I put them in and did a quick power on test. Saw the batteries needed charging, so switched off and connected a fast USB-C charger.

More than 5 hours later the unit is still charging. The light ring has slowly progressed to three quarters charged, so it does seem to be charging... but 5 hours? What could be the cause? Faulty batteries, faulty Angus? I tried two different fast chargers, so the problem is not the charger.

I tested the power usage with a meter, and the charger is pushing out a steady 14 watts as it charges the Angus. I don't know if that's normal.... and I don't know if I should return the Angus, or try different batteries or charger, or maybe even the USB cable?

I’d be willing to bet it’s only charging each battery at 0.5A, charging in the device and also charging with an external charger takes forever and 5 hours doesn’t sound out of the ordinary for a dead 18650.

Update: Mine is only pulling 13W with a 68W charger and it still gets it to full in well under a few hours.

I’ve had some more time to play around with this thing. Still loving it, so much so that I put away all my other vapes. I’ve been using the dosing capsules 95% of the time for convenience and to keep things a bit cleaner. I just did a back to back level 5 w/ boost sesh and I immediately popped the battery out to check the temp since the whole device was very warm, top of cell read about 108F and the bottom of the cell read roughly 100F. Cells are P28As btw

That is totally normal dude, brand new batteries take about 6 hours to fully charge, better to do so externally instead of in the device, although hopefully the internal charging is good and they will be fully charged and properly paired... I like to let them overcharge a bit for the first charge as well personally

Yeah I checked specifically, using still paired LG HG2 batteries, as I was cleaning mine and burning off, popped out the batteries and they are not even warm nor is the inside of the device... With back to back run, but chamber open, suppose that could be a factor?

Anyway it seems like mine has not had any of the bugs some others have had, but I still cannot really get on with it, for whatever reason even if simply I just do not like the session device style and other design aspects of this product...
