I could have sworn that delta3studios had a screen shaper.
Yup, he does.delta does have a screen shaper right @Ratchett ?
Yeah, it's still there. It's listed in the "Miscellaneous" section.
Hi there @Ratchett! I really like your solution. Have you attempted other sizes like to fit 14mm?Lol, Indeed I do make a basket screen former! I know it can be tricky to navigate the whole site, with over 125 inventions and products so far, I'm impressed I have it as organized as I do!
Note I also sell 5-packs of the formed screens if anyone wants to test them out before splurging on the press itself.
I use the BP385 size screens with my E-Nano glass stems, and the BP465 screen size for my 18mm male joints (I put the 465 screen on the male side of my WPA to act as a secondary filter to catch any particles which make it past the first screen)

Pretty sure we'll get some screens down the line.
Very informative and helpful. Thank you. Yeah, we we're discussing an 18mm option down the line. Pretty sure we'll hit you up later (at least me). Thanks! The original design started with a 3D printed concept. I quickly learned forming steel baskets would result in embedding plastic into the screens! So I worked with a mechanical engineer to test several different "tool" designs to see which worked best at an economical price (both for production and shipping).
We quickly discovered machined aluminum, even hardened aluminum was not feasible for this application (shavings of aluminum came out with every formed screen!). We were forced to move to steel for the finished product which is a considerably tougher material to work with.
I just tried my smallest BP385 basket screen in a 14mm male joint for you. While I eventually managed to push it in, I wasn't very happy with the fit. I think it would be easier to push the basket screen down from the other side of the tube if possible
Straight tubes around 10mm in diameter in size are fine, but the smaller tapered end of a 14mm male is just too tight for me to say "it works". Even though it does, it's just a hell of a tight fit.
That said, we have the design pretty ironed out by this point. We can always make a custom sized basket press if there was enough demand/preorders
Love those Gifs!Hey @PeteSeattle, if there's a round 2 of these stems, let us (me ) know. Always liked your work in the VC thread, & would love to own something made by you. Keep up the good work & all the best!
Keep your fingers crossed ... going to ship Friday or Wednesday July 5th (U.S. holiday on July 4th). For the beta testers.
