Supreme V3 gongs

Finally got paid but a snag. None of my glass stores sell 9mm with 1mm walls.

I did, however find it on eBay for $9 ... for 12 inch tubes. Nine dollars! 5 ft tubing is 1-2 bucks from the stores I buy my supplies from.

If anyone can find 9mm with 1mm walls under 2 bucks for 5 feet tubes please let me know.

I'm still hanging on to the medium wall gongs until I hear back from you all and get a consensus. I stopped production since I was converting glass size.

Thanks for any help!
(Frustrated :hmm:)

I agree... People have been using the med walled glass tubes for some time now and are happy with them.

The plan was always to produce these with a gong end originally I guess, so I'd continue. There are many people (me included) that would love to have one (or four) of the stems you've made already... and it'd be a real shame to waste the time/glass you've spent on them too.

If you can source, and offer, a "thinner walled, less restrictive" ver in the future then great. You can either change to those exclusively, or offer both options

Well said, I think that the thinner walled ones would be ideal for ground meds, but with the glass ones we have been using, i've never attempted ground since there is only the pinch to stop and i've never put in a screen. I much prefer whole nug pieces vs ground for various reasons, so what it's at now works for me.

Thanks again Pete for continuing to bring it and not giving up on us!

Thanks all! It's been a sweaty day in the shop. It's 80 degrees F in Seattle! Had to have the garage door open.

I will keep searching for a better price to source the thin wall.

I would still love to play around with the DDave concept down the line.

Ok, I'm glad to be back on focus. I'll try not to experiment too much on future items.

Thanks for putting up with me this far. I'm taking an early 420 ...

I could have sworn that delta3studios had a screen shaper.

delta does have a screen shaper right @Ratchett ?
Yup, he does.

Lol, Indeed I do make a basket screen former! I know it can be tricky to navigate the whole site, with over 125 inventions and products so far, I'm impressed I have it as organized as I do!

Note I also sell 5-packs of the formed screens if anyone wants to test them out before splurging on the press itself.

I use the BP385 size screens with my E-Nano glass stems, and the BP465 screen size for my 18mm male joints (I put the 465 screen on the male side of my WPA to act as a secondary filter to catch any particles which make it past the first screen)

Hi there @Ratchett! I really like your solution. Have you attempted other sizes like to fit 14mm?
Pretty sure we'll get some screens down the line.

Ok, folks, I'm still very distracted as to where this can go down the line. Been sketching all morning about this idea ...

The first "chamber" could hold concentrates. It will melt into and mix herb chamber. Vape magic.
If this is possible at all ... keep this design in back of your minds.

Thanks! The original design started with a 3D printed concept. I quickly learned forming steel baskets would result in embedding plastic into the screens! So I worked with a mechanical engineer to test several different "tool" designs to see which worked best at an economical price (both for production and shipping).

We quickly discovered machined aluminum, even hardened aluminum was not feasible for this application (shavings of aluminum came out with every formed screen!). We were forced to move to steel for the finished product which is a considerably tougher material to work with.

I just tried my smallest BP385 basket screen in a 14mm male joint for you. While I eventually managed to push it in, I wasn't very happy with the fit. I think it would be easier to push the basket screen down from the other side of the tube if possible

Straight tubes around 10mm in diameter in size are fine, but the smaller tapered end of a 14mm male is just too tight for me to say "it works". Even though it does, it's just a hell of a tight fit.

That said, we have the design pretty ironed out by this point. We can always make a custom sized basket press if there was enough demand/preorders

Very informative and helpful. Thank you. Yeah, we we're discussing an 18mm option down the line. Pretty sure we'll hit you up later (at least me).

Just want to be transparent ... I answered an email if any of these have been sent out.

My response:
" Not just yet. Every batch I churn out has at least 3 out of 5 unusable ones. Almost there. I finally have made a new batch which looks a lot better than the first. I want mostly functioning stems to go out ..."

Hey @PeteSeattle, if there's a round 2 of these stems, let us (me :brow:) know. Always liked your work in the VC thread, & would love to own something made by you. Keep up the good work & all the best!

Love those Gifs!

Update all, sorry I've been quite. It's that time of year for dads and grads in the U.S. and I've been away with family celebrating all of the above.

I've re-done the last few that I didn't like and we are looking good for shipping very very soon.

And @Morty yes, please watch out for a round 2 if needed!

@PeteSeattle Even if this doesn't go beyond the beta testers, still super cool of you to take the time out to do this. You didn't have to answer the call, but you did. To Pete!

After reading this thread & looking at your signature, I realize you don't have a SV3, but do have an EVO. If you like to take fatty style bong rips that are smooth & funk you down (I'm assuming so by the EVO), you should check out the Supreme.

 Join the dark side.

Howdy friends. I forgot how taxing the day after the 4th is. I'm doing my best to finalize these. Most likely I will work through the night so everything can be picked up by USPS tomorrow. Friend outside of US will probably go out the day after next. Heads up y'all!

Hey! Got something to show you all ...

Now before you all get excited I'm still working on the VapCap gongs as I'm redesigning those as I'm not happy about the previous version. So, I can still send out just the SV3 gongs if you all can't wait. Or if you want to wait I can include VapCap gong next week.

Let me know what you all think.

Oh, those who don't prefer VC gongs will be sent out first.
