Welcome to the forum Nuphile, and glad you're happy with your SSV. Very good description of the benefits of the standard connection. IMO, it's the biggest functional difference between the SSV and DBV, since the latter is GG, hands free only. The SSV w/standard provides a slightly different vaping experience from the DBV, and personally, I don't see much point in buying the SSV with GG setup only. From a hit standpoint, you're paying more $ for the same vaping experience. If the different whip/wand angle, and/or looks, is also very important, and you have the exta $ to spare, I can see going with SSV and GG, but otherwise, why pay extra $, even above the standard price, for an SSV that mimics the cheaper DBV?
Kudos to Vapeworld for selling the HF version of the SSV for standard price, but why they assume that everyone wants HF is beyond me. As it is, you have to special order the standard SSV. They should have a selection box for connection type, just like 7th Floor's site does.

I haven't seen anyone comment on this new setup either. Judging by the few pics on their site, it looks to be a cross between standard and HF, offering movement of the wand, but with a larger opening on the heater cover than standard. I'm not sure there's much of a difference, hit wise, vs. the HF setup. It may be more gimmick than anything. I'm not sure I'm ready to pay $45 plus shipping to find out.I have not tried the spherical connection, so I can't comment on that. But, I would love to see some reviews if anyone has tried it.
